The detective nodded, Lucas continued, “I want you to find out everything about my Dad’s secretary, her name is Carol Mittal, I want her complete background on my table in an hour”
“And next I want you to keep an on my wife Catherine, where she goes, whom she meets everything and I want her details maximum in a week”
The detective nodded and left Lucas’s office.
Lucas tried to concentrate on his work but Carol’s figure was flashing in his mind.
In an hour Lucas got Carol’s information in the mail, he was a little excited to open the mail, he was feeling like he was about to explore something which he waited a lot.
He opened the folder and on the first page was her photo. She was smiling in that photo, but the smile in her photo was different from the smile which she carries on her face all the time.
In this photo she looked more charming, her smile was like it can spread happiness in every place.
Lucas scrolled down and started reading her details.
Her Dad was an Indian, and Mom was American. Her Dad belonged to a very rich family so they didn’t accept her mother because she was not from a rich family.
Her mother worked in a café, when her Dad’s family didn’t accept his relation; he left his family and married her Mom.
She was the only child, her Dad died in an accident just after Carol had completed her graduation.
Her Dad has left a three-bedroom apartment for them, Carol earns very well, she tried to move out of that old apartment but her Mom never agreed, as she believes that she has all her memories with her Dad in this house.
Carol was never in any relationship because she always admired her parent’s love and she had made up her mind that she will marry a guy who will love her like her Dad loved her Mom.
But unfortunately, she didn’t meet Mr. Right till now.
Carol’s life revolves around her mother; her mother is her lifeline and the same goes for her mother, her mother treasures Carol to like her own life.
After her personal details, her hobbies were written, she loves cooking.
She is a person anyone can hardly hate, she always keeps a very friendly environment around her.
She is very good at her work. From the time she started working for Alex she never made any mistakes.
Lucas cannot deny that he was really impressed after reading about her professional achievements.
Alex pays her a high salary, and she earns more than any other secretaries of her age.

This information somehow irritated him, any guys around her were pissing him off, he was never a jealous kind of guy.
Lucas read Carol’s information four-five times, he felt like reading about her was also giving him satisfaction.
Days passed, and Lucas got reports of Catherine’s investigation. He was shocked seeing her photos with different men.
All the girls whom she always introduced as her friends, they also follow the same lifestyle. All these women like to hang out with different men every night.
He felt so heartbroken, from the time he had seen Carol and she is the only one in his heart and mind, he was guilty that he is doing wrong with Catherine, he should not cheat his wife, his love of life, but at this moment he was cursing himself.
He did everything to keep her happy in this marriage, but she didn’t care about anything and cheated on him behind his back.
He had never thought that their love would end like this; he never thought that he would divorce Catherine.
He had made up his mind that he wants to divorce Catherine, what’s the meaning of keeping such a relationship where there is no love.

She immediately understood that Lucas knows everything about her, so she stopped pretending and said, “It’s good that you know everything, now I don’t have to pretend”
Lucas looked at her, he was very surprised to see her response, he never thought that she never had any feelings for him, she was just pretending all the time.
He didn’t say anything, he just pulled out a paper from his coat pocket and threw it towards her, and said, “Sign it”
