Edward was standing beside Autumn’s bed like he had never seen Timothy and he was just witnessing a lovey-dovey scene of a brother and sister who met after a very long time.
Autumn slowly patted Timothy’s back and said, “It’s not your fault brother, I understand, please forgive me for not waiting for you”
Timothy broke the hug and said wiping his tears, “Baby doll, I promise I will always visit my appointment of anger management without fail from now on”
“I never in my dreams thought that my small ignorance would harm my baby sister so much”
“Baby girl you know I came to surprise you but at the same time I was angry too, I always dreamed of walking you to the aisle and handing you over to your husband, but I was unable to take it when I found you are married when I was away”
“I tried to control myself but still, I am so sorry princess, please forgive your brother this time, believe me it will never happen”
Autumn held his hands in her hand and said assuring him, “Brother I forgive you, now please tell me what surprise you were talking about?” She tried to change the topic.
Timothy kissed her forehead and said, “Baby doll, we are shifting to NY, I have already seen the house and in few days we will settle here”
Autumn was happy and surprised at the same time, she knows how much she was missing her adoptive parents.
She was missing their pampering, how they still treat her like a kid of five years, how they take care of her like a newborn child, there is no doubt that Edward pampers her, loves her but no one in this world can replace a parent’s love.
Autumn was very happy with this news. She hugged Timothy and asked, “Where are Mr. Walker and Mrs. Walker? I miss them so much”
Timothy smiled and said, “They will come to meet you after settling down in this city”
Autumn was very happy, but she was also suspicious about why all of sudden Walker’s family is shifting to NY.
She asked, “Brother what about your business in our hometown and why this decision of shifting to NY all of sudden?”
Timothy smiled and said, “Baby doll, when I came back from my business trip I found Mom unwell and no doctor was able to treat her, after asking for nth time she said that she misses you very much”
“Sweetie, you know how much they love you, so I thought it will be cruel of me to keep them away from their daughter and my lovely sister”
“And about my business, I had already planned to expand my business in NY and now I think brother-in-law can be a great help for me,” he said looking at Edward.
Autumn replied immediately, “Of course, Edward will help, right Edward?” she asked, looking at Edward.
He smiled at her and said, “Anything for you sweetheart!”
Timothy said, “Ok, Baby doll now you take some rest I will visit you again” saying this he stood up kissing her forehead.
Edward said to Autumn, “I will see off Timothy”
Autumn nodded happily, Edward walked out of the ward followed by Timothy and the moment the door closed, Edward turned to face Timothy and said in a cold tone,
“First thing first, never call her baby girl, she is my wife, you can address as Mrs. King, or Autumn but not any cheeky names”
“And second thing, never touch her, don’t kiss on her forehead or hug her. I hate it when any man goes near to my wife”
Timothy was about to open his mouth to say something but Edward said, “I hope I am clear Mr. Walker, if not remember you need to expand your business in NY”
Timothy clenched his tongue in anger but didn’t have the guts to say anything in front of the intimidating aura of Edward.
He shook hands with Edward and left with a gloomy face.
Edward turned to enter the ward again but found Ethan throwing daggers with his eyes, he sighed and walked towards Ethan and said, “Ethan I don’t know whether I should say sorry for not protecting Autumn or thank you for taking care of her”
Ethan replied coldly, “This is the first and last time I am leaving you when it comes to princess’s protection after this I will take her away, and marry her to a good and loving man”
If it was any other man apart from Ethan, Edward would have torn that person in two pieces by now, but Ethan has all the leverages which no one in this world has. He can say anything he wants and Edward would just listen to him.
Edward nodded and said helplessly, “This is the last time Autumn was in trouble because of my ignorance, I will make arrangements about her security at home also”
“Rest assured old man, my Autumn will be only mine in her every birth and I will make you grandpa soon” saying that Edward ran away before Ethan could catch him and beat him for calling him old man.
Ethan smiles at Edward’s childish behavior, but he is happy that at least in front of him Edward can behave like a younger brother, not a successful businessman.
Edward entered the ward and saw Autumn lying on the bed and smiling, thinking something. He slipped next to her, dragged her in his arms, and said, “What thoughts make you smile so much?”
Autumn kept her tiny palm on his chest and said smiling, “I am so happy they are shifting here, I was missing them so much”
Edward kissed her forehead and said, “I am happy if you are happy”
Autumn smiled. Edward continued, “Baby, you know just now I challenged Ethan on something”
Autumn frowned, because as much as she knows these two brothers can never fight, then what brought them on challenging grounds.
