” This mountains are anything but save. Let’s get out of here.” Amelia said as she stood up feeling dazed. She felt a sense of malaise from the effects of the corpse she had seen. There were what seemed like Footsteps in the surrounding Bushes and they seemed to hurry towards the top of the mountain where the both of them stood with backs rubbing against each. ” Don’t try to run Amelia, we are surrounded just stay by side and I shall protect you.” Catori whispered as he hawked his gaze waiting for the first entity to draw the first blood. From what he could smell, they were humans and then they were beings he wasn’t sure of. It was the reason why didn’t attempt to make a futile run as running against an entity with similar speed was only going to expose Amelia to serious Danger. And just like rainfall from the heavens, they crashed on the surrounding realms of the mountain, sauntering towards the duo, some with Guns in their hands and others with claws as long as daggers and skin as hairy as furs. Amelia Screamed in Fear causing Catori to enact a back flip against her and picking her up from the ground while he was still mid air. A stunt she didn’t know why he had enacted till a bullet meant to piece her stomach narrowly pinched her abdomen before going to hit an unsuspecting attacker. Two more detailed and swift backlights had been key enough to propel Catori to the back of an Attacking rank while Amelia was laid flat on his shoulder as tossed his sword in a circular motion that was too fast for many of the attackers to dodge. They fell flat to the ground bleeding profusely from the cut he had dealt them. It would have been easier to escape the ambush if he was alone or if he had chosen to drop the Weight on his shoulder and leave her to her death but he was Catori, the selfless sire and that was the Mantra in mind as he gave his best to save the both of them, when the humans seemed not so difficult to counter and attack, the Hybrid werewolves were so fast and had caught him a dozen times with their attacks, the more he tried to run, out of the circle of attack, the more they seemed to increase in numbers and the strikes he had to parry to save Amelia from being Lynched. He had just grabbed the fifth hybrid by its neck and pulled it’s larynx with a furious pull. He was wounded in several places ranging from his head to toes. So bloody was his body that his pony tail had turned moist in his own blood. He still his spear pointed towards the cautious enemies who now seemed to avoid a direct confrontation with the king of the Charokees.
” Are you seeing this? Boss” Durban asked as he stood beside Gallagher. They were on a surrounding Canyon and supervised as their army of men and Hybrids attacked Gallagher.
” I can see. That’s not Maximin. I doubt if he fights so well.” Gallagher whispered as he steadied his gaze at the tired Warlock who was using the last strands of his energy to hold on.
” That’s the beast. I can recognize the girl just well. The bitch Amelia!” Said Durban and cringed in vexation.
” That’s not Maximin and whoever it is that has killed a dozen of my army in a single brawl, Is a man worth meeting. Let’s go.” Gallagher said and leapt towards the ground while Durban took the alternative road. The Cold Sensation of Catoris blood on the bosom of Amelia had caused her to sprout from back to Consciousness, for a while she could see nothing but fuzziness of green matters and apparently, her full consciousness returned causing to scream in horror while and attacking hybrid had leapt from the hedge and crashed it’s giant body into the bareback Catori who was fighting of yet another attacker from his side and flank. The impact of the giant thud, sent him crashing to the ground yet he parried Amelia against the fall, further severing his left arm as he did so.
” Please Don’t!” ” Stay away!” She screamed out as she kicked against an intrusion on her leg, while a bloodied Catori tried to stand on his feet. He was exposed to his attacker who now had a clear aim at him to take a shot or sling a fatal assault and just when they had made to lay the fatal strike, the voice of caution was sounded.
” Step away from the assailant!” Gallagher called out as he walked through a dozen men and half a dozen hybrids eventually halting before Catori who had scrambled up on his feet and visibly fought to remain on it. ” Gallagher! It’s you again!” Amelia barked as she scrambled up and held Catori from falling.
” Well oh well, Amelia, the traitors daughter. So we meet again huh?” He said and highlighted the moist gown she was wearing.
” Don’t hurt us please. We came to pick something in the cottage and we were on our way out when these, these…” She stammered, gazing at the strange looking beings whose horridness had earlier caused her to pass out.
” Well you don’t get tired from jumping from one dick to another huh?” ” Boys, the whore of the woods.” He bellowed, pointing at her as he spoke. His Gangs cackled so hard no feeling sober that some of their colleagues were laying dead besides them.
” You almost made the young man lost his life. Who are you? You fight so well.” Gallagher said as he swaggered towards Catori whose face was covered in his own blood. There were deep cuts on his head and on his temple with several claw wounds on his jaws and nose.
” Catori, king of the Cherokee tribe.” He panted, gazing deeply at every single move of Gallagher.
” Oh mine. The red indians. Are you a bounty hunter?” He asked him again.”
” No! I’m not.” He winced in pain, wiping off the blood over his eyes to get a clearer glimpse of Gallagher.
” His people are under attack and we needed to get the guns from my cottage. I see your men beat us to it.” She said, gazing at the men who hung the guns by the sides of their shoulders.
” I see. Where is Maximin Amelia, the beast you helped escape!” He roared turning his gaze towards her.
” I haven’t seen him. He left many days ago after getting healed by Catoris herbs.” She said as she gazed at Gallagher in fright.
” Left to where tell me right away. That beast was clingy of your arse that I doubt if he can survive a decent night alone after having a taste of that damn coochie of yours.” Said Gallagher and Cackled so loud while his men followed suit.
” He left, and that’s all I know …” ” Please don’t!” She begged after watching his point the nozzle of his colt on the head of Catoris as the both of them averaged almost the same height, allowing Gallagher some extra inches in difference.
” Talk or I would blow his brain!” Gallagher Called out in rage.
” Gallagher please!” She cried out in confusion as she stood dwarfed between both men.
” I will blow! .. ”
” Cincinnati. He left for Cincinnati. I swear that’s all I know. Don’t hurt Catori please, his innocent.” She cried causing Catori to gaze at her in rage. The very knowledge of what a heartless criminal Gallagher could be, made her cry even more, begging in fear that he was going to kill him. As the emotional plea got louder, causing the gangs to laugh at her empathy, it only caused Catori to be furious the more and next, all it took was for Gallagher to slightly take the gun of his head, with the precision, physicality of a giant grizzly, he grabbed the unsuspecting thug faster than he could react. Amelia’s eye widened in shock at the Giant Grizzly that seemed to have exploded from Catoris body. She had no doubt it was the bear that had chased her when she headed to the mountain. She was petrified and tried to run but found it useless. It grabbed her in his other hand and flung her gently against it’s bronze colored fur. She held on tightly the beast sauntered backwards, while holding Gallagher hostage, in a tight bear hug that stopped his gang from attacking.
” Catori Don’t kill him please.” Amelia cried out, fearing for the life of the thug that had tormented her very lineage. Catori roared so loud in decibels that could match that of a thunder storm.
” Don’t shoot you bastards!” Gallagher managed to squeak in spite of the crushing grip of Gallagher.
” Please! Let him go.” She cried out, as she felt the bones of Gallagher snapping into their sockets. When sure he was a safe distance away from gangs bullets, he let go of Gallagher, tossing him many feets across the ground before lifting Amelia on his shoulders and scampered away in his ferocious speed and valor. The hybrids soon came Dashing after the Grizzly and were halted by a panting Gallagher.
” Stop!!!” ” Let them be. I know where to find them.” Shouted Gallagher causing the Hybrids to roar in fury and disappointment.
” Boss ! Are you okay.” Durban called out as he dawned on Gallagher who was already rotund on his feet.
” I am.” He said as he gazed at the meadows with eyes wide open.
” I’m so glad you saved yourself before we could arrive.” Durban stammered as dusted the dirt’s of his bosses leather jackets.
” No Durban. Amelia, she saved me.” He said in silver whisper that caused Durban to flinch in shock.
” Let’s go, we will find them.” Gallagher said and began to march further, his gangs followed with a taste of blood and vengeance.
