” Ladies and gentlemen I’m glad you all turned out in mass to honor my friends choosing and wedding party. It’s going to be fun as always and as you know. I your chief has arranged a grand feast for the this occasion.” Said Montana and it caused the crowd to roar In jubilation. The darkness of night was opaque by the ember gloss of flames which sprouted from the burning furnace in the middle of the kings large compound. It casted a red silhouette on the walls and gave everyone a red highlight.
” As you all know, I don’t dull on matters like this. Trust me when I say there’s going to be a dope party and me and my friend Agiyon would be giving you all some rare and extraterrestrial dance steps from the good old days. Just think about all the ale, the chicken and the steps. Hehehehe.” He Cackled as he rubbed his stomach in excitement. He was already getting drunk from the liquorice he had been drinking. The sound of excess availability caused the crowd to roar in excitement. They wanted all the free goodies they could be given. The ladies were so happy that they danced around , swaying their beaded waist just to think of the extra energy the free ale was going to give their male lovers for the night. Everyone was happy. Everyone except Agiyon who felt like running away. It baffled Montana that such a lover of women could appear so sullen on a night like this.
” Damn it man you look like your mom just died. The people have eyes.” Montana cautioned in a deep whisper after bending by his friend.
” I do not think I’m ready. That’s why.” He protested in normal tone.
” Not so loud you looser. That was exactly what I told my dad when he wanted to marry me off to my second wife. Today I have six and I can’t thank the dead man any less. I haven’t got this people here just for you to make a fool of me . You said it was fine.” Said Montana in a frantic whisper.
” You made me agree to it. I have a girl of my own.”
” Damn you man. If you have a girl of your own and you love her so much then why didn’t you make her your wife. You will choose from the maidens I will be given you. I have a dozen. One definitely has to meet your spec. Truth be told I don’t want you back at the damn village of yours. Your life hasn’t been progressive. Look at you, you don’t work out . You don’t hunt you don’t even dance man. I look better than you. You look my damn dead father and you want to do is keep going down the drains. I can’t let that happen to you man. Just chill. Flow with night and let me handle this shit.” Said Montana and spanked the face of Agiyon who wasn’t even drinking yet. He nodded slowly to agree with his friend but his face still stood otherwise.
” Damaris! Lead in the Virgins.” He said causing the crowd to go wild in laughter.
” Oh sorry my bad. Bring in the Maidens. Hahahah.” He cackled and gulped some more ale from his jug while most of his attendees watched and salivated as he drank the scarce wine. ” You all would have lots do drink when the marriage is consummated.” Said the round chief and widened his gaze as he watched the dozen ladies walk out from a room with smiles on their faces. They all had nothing but their hide panties on them and lots of cotton bids over there necks, waist and ankles. Even more than his friend, Montana eyes widened in awe as his gaze fell upon a particular maiden who he fell was by far the most beautiful. All the dozen ladies stood, wearing their best smiles as they gazed to the floor to exhume their chastity. Agiyon looked at them from where he sat and was just glad to keep looking.
” No no no.. you don’t get a good one like that. Get up, walk to the girls, get around them, get in front of them and get behind them. Touch , feel, connect and sniff on them like a wild bulldog if that’s what it’s going to….”
The crowd went wild in laughter. They loved the vibes of their king and they could hardly wait for him to finish it.
” Oh yes. My people know me. I don’t sleep on these things. I may put a finger or three in it just to get the best product but don’t do that now! Haahhhahaah.” He cackled out, throwing his kingdom into a frenzy of laughter and causing even Agiyon to chuckle at the darkness of his humor. He stood up for the first time and headed straight to the bevy of maidens.
” That’s my man! Like the good old days. I miss this man. I really do.” Said Montana as he jumped up and down from servicing the joys of excess ale , memories from the good old past and the joy of the present. Agiyon walked in front of the ladies, slowly in Majesty till he was done examining their front. He tried to be modest and return to his seat when his friend shouted at him.
” Check the back. Check the Bazooka. Hahahah. Bazooka.” He cackled causing everyone to laugh again. Agiyon smiled and turned, encircling the girls and slowly examining the magnanimity of there rears. He reached some and subconsciously nodded, forgetting his past and future problems while he reached some and just passed in sadness. Soon he had examined all twenty four cheeks of the young ladies and all twenty four of their breast, but was inwardly not convinced that he had found the one he wanted. He wanted to turn back and meet his friend and perhaps just call all the effort a fiasco but just as he had made to walk back, he was stopped by a voice of caution.
” No ! You don’t come back without a bride. Take one and let’s give these crowd what they have come hear to see. A marriage.” Montana yelled out with a humorous grin on his face. It was over, Agiyon had to take a bride. He staged a smile at his friend and slowly turned back to the bevy of ladies. Definitely he had to make a choice and he stood gazing at them with contempt. He breathed in deeply and could only thing of Luitsi. ” I’m sorry.” He whispered inaudibly, raised his head up and was about to pick one of the ladies who backside had made him to nod like an Agama lizard, when his peripheral gaze caught the site of a modest Maiden that seemed to have been standing in behind his flanks. He looked turned and had another look at her and was instantly mesmerized with her beautiful features. She looked so much like luitsi and had he been drinking, he would have been convinced he was seeing her. Slightly tall, fair skinned, quite fleshy with pointed nipples and a flat tummy. She was perfect and when she saw him looking at her, she slowly bent her head towards the floor and she did so without smiling. ” Why wasn’t this beauty on the list?” He asked himself and quickly dropped his hands down from taking any maiden that stood before him.
” Montana. I have found a bride at last.” He said and the crowd went wild. There were rear occasion when the guest wasn’t pleased with any suitor, thus the feast were kept for another day, leaving the attendees wary and mad. They were just glad that this particular one organized by the king himself was going to take place. Whether or not the marriage lasted past and hour or whether or not it lasted forever wasn’t their business. They had to come to full their belly with ale and food and is things were going, it was going to be a reality.
” Then pull her out and let’s get this feast started.” Said Montana and danced some ale oriented steps on the pavement of his throne.
” Hell yes. I want this lady behind me here.” He said, abruptly turning towards the young maiden that stood before. The chanting of the crowd was fast to diminish leaving nothing but murmurings, to be heard.
” Damaris! You want Damaris? Why don’t you choose from the beautiful ones before you eh.” Montana said as his smile diminished as well.
” Yes Damaris. I want her very much.” Agiyon said with a smile causing the dozen ladies who had been smiling in staged shyness to ditch it all and scowl at him. He didn’t care less. He had his gaze stuck on the woman that stood in the distance before him. At night Catori could see Amelia sitting alone on a small bolder that was within the vicinity of his palace. Yes he wanted to seat by her side and tell beautiful things to her but he didn’t want to appear so pushy. He was royalty and there was a limit to how low he could stoop for love. The one thing that plagued his mind was why his rival had still not left even though he had okayed him to leave. Clearly he was in to convince the girl to follow him to Cincinnati at the detriment of the red king. Catori felt an urge to expel him from the clan as quick as possible, yet he was known to be a hospitable person and wasn’t one who went back on his words. He had earlier told them, that They can both stay for as long as they liked. His heart was at peace to find out that both Maximin and Amelia where not in talking terms. She had clearly been evasive of his antiques to initiate a dialogue. Her mind was made up and she had done so after putting a dozen things into consideration. Catori didn’t have all the time in his hand. Training soldiers had immediately sprung into action and he was the chief trainer of all the soldiers. There was no warrior as formidable as him in all the red lands. At least that was what he heard people say and he made it a call of duty to uphold. He had been back from a routine of night training as most soldiers were trained for night attacks. Just when he was about to get into his room. He picked up a deep footstep and knew exactly who it was even before making eye contact. It caused him to frown immediately.
” You haven’t left for Cincinnati yet. I now wonder why.” Amelia said after Maximin had brought himself to path for the umpteenth time of the morning.
” Yes I haven’t. I didn’t feel too well yesterday. I will leave when I’m fully healed.” He declared and sat on another boulder that was adjacent to hers.
” You can stay and help Catori fight if war comes to his people. It’s the least I expect from you. He saved your life. You shouldn’t be contesting with him at this point.” “You should be helping him.” She silvered softly, with her hands wrapped over her bosom to curtail the cold, while her front hair flickered from the action of the night winds.
” But I found you first. I also would have saved …”
” Don’t talk about me like I’m some antique or a laurel. I’m no ones prize and I was never lost. You came to my cottage and left my life in ruins. I haven’t judged you, have I?” she queried waited for a second and spoke again “Be at peace man. You say some hurtful things to me at times. The city is not a place for me, anytime I go there, something tries to take my life. A caused land of beauty indeed.” She said in enraged tone that was brought under her control.
