” God damn it. That beast Can run all he wants but I’m sure he can’t run so long. He is poisoned, I can tell from how he moves.” Said Gallagher as he dismantled his colt piece by piece to clean it up.
“Boss. I swear you are right. I saw him running off like some zombie. He had a dead lady on his shoulder. ” Said Sacramento who had his eyes stuck on the parts of the colts, simulating their motions with his eyeballs.
” Dead girl you say. Moving like a zombie you say. Then why the hell didn’t you pin them both to the ground. All I do is feed you. I saw no results in the past and none now. Totally zero prospect. What are you good for?” “For the pounds?” Gallagher barked and calmed himself when he realized screaming at Sacramento was a waste of emotions. The man was indifferent to left and right. He simply existed like some algae and Gallagher kept him just because of that. Gossiping in the presence of Sacramento was a thing no gang member dare did as they were sure he was going to tell it to Gallagher. He didn’t know the difference between a secret and a joke and spoke things the way he perceived them even though his head was going to fall for it. The tantrums of his boss didn’t scare him a bit, in his slow tone he continue to speak;
” Boss, he was moving like a zombie but was too fast. I wasn’t going to catch him.”
” But you eat more food than anyone in the gang. How come you couldn’t track down a wounded man carrying a dead lady. God damn it you looser I would have wedded you to the dead lady. Who would marry you now? How would I get you a wife at this rate.” Said Gallagher and waved his head while stealing some humor from the daftness of Sacramento.
” Boss. Does a man marry a dead woman?” He tardily asked and continued “She was very beautiful. But she was dead.” He intoned and still had his eyes on the colt.
” Well why not. What do you need a woman for? It’s simply to put on your bed and give her the fuck of a lifetime. Who cares if she’s dead as long as she’s on the bed then it’s all good.” Said Gallagher and cackled at his own words.
” Fuck a corpse. Boss?” The moron enquired but never for once took his eyes off the colt on the table. It fascinated his senses and when a thing did, he never took his eyes off It till it was no more In sight.
” Yes fuck. Do you know what that is?” He asked and paused in his cleaning routine to get a first hand reaction from Sacramento.
” Fuck. I know what it means.” Said the overly thin human being whose scalp was without a hair.
” A mans dick in woman’s arse is Fuck sir.” Said Sacramento without feeling an ounce of shame.
” You urchin sure knows a good thing. Who told you about all this crap. Hehehe.”
” Durban. He showed me a rape video on his phone” ” Boss I want a woman to fuck. I want to marry the dead woman.” Drawled Sacramento as his gaze was repeatedly stolen by the movement of the old pistol.
” Hahaha! Man you are crazy. Well go and around and steal me some gossips around the gang. If I find any gossip Worthy I will get you a woman to fuck. Hahahaha.” Cackled Gallagher and stomped his boots on the ground in euphoria. Such ill humor was the reason why he kept him close to him when he needed one of those his wild laughs.
” Yes boss” He said but didn’t stand up.
” Get going man. The colt isn’t running away is it? She’s a beauty I know but get lost and get me some gossip. Before I hit the streets. Dubois must be a joke to think I will chase a bird in the wild and leave mine to be taken for his stew. It’s tax season and the Tax of Texas is mine.” Said Gallagher who had just finished assembling the pistol. He raised it with to the forehead of Sacramento who cold not stop looking at it even when it was somehow paramount that it was worthy of taking his tasteless life. Gallagher held on to the trigger and slowly clicked it but was not amazed by the indifferent reaction of the dumb fellow. He skillfully rolled it backwards, with his thumb navigating within the trigger in quick circular successions.
” Now get going before I load the bullets and blow your brains. I doubt if you have any Hahaha!” Gallagher cackled and shoved the item of interest into the pockets of his leather jacket. Just when Sacramento had left, Durban came hurrying through and Gallagher could notice some panting in his breath.
” Boss some corpse choose to walk in cape but only in Bearcreek ” Said Durban as he brought his steps to halt, before his boss.
” And who dares to die when Uriel hasn’t killed?” Gallagher said and sat straight to address the seriousness of the situation.
” Dakota Reyes.” ” I have no doubt that her men are the one dwindling the peasants off our tax money. She knows not that doing that is a Cardinal sin and death is what’s best befitting for an ingrate like…”
” Shut up! No one talks about my Dakota like that.” Said Gallagher with a falling intonation that shacked the very spine of Durban.
” Oh Dakota, my lovely Dakota. Dogged as ever. She will never change. It’s why I love her.” Said Gallagher and picked out a cigarette from the front pocket of his leather jacket.
” Where did you see them taking my money?” He asked after slowly igniting the cigarettes in his hands.
” At the Easthampton boss. That’s where I saw her men milking our hard work.” Said Durban and gnawed his teeth in rage.
” Let’s go. I have some uncollected coins at the north creek. Those looser better have my money handy. I’m not smiling.” He said and sprang on his feet while Durban followed suit. The drive to Easthampton wasn’t so stressful as the road was rather clear of much vehicles due to the actions of mostly farmers in the vicinity. As Gallagher rode on his bike, he could only imagine what a confrontation between him and his long term sweetheart was going to be like. It had been two years since he saw her last and the last time they met, things didn’t go as planned. It ended in tears.
” Boss! Yes! I see them over there. Those men in Maroon jackets. They are the ones.” Said Durban in Gusto. He wanted them all killed.
” Hell yes I see them to. Losers for Urchins! Let’s confront them.” Said Gallagher and rode his bike down to the shoulder of the road, before blasting his engines on the path that led to a shade, where a small gathering of peasants stood, paying their taxes in cash and kind. The deafening sound of his bike had caused all heads to wag towards his direction and soon rifles and pistols were pointing towards the two rough riders.
” What sacrilege Is going on here? Who dares to die when Uriel hasn’t killed.” Gallagher bellowed, not taking the guns into consideration. Soon his bike came to an abrupt halt that made many peasants cling to their bosom in fear that he was going to crash and disintegrate to pieces.
” Put your gun down. If for nothing, for past sake, he deserves some respect said a male voice in a females body. She was tall, built, and flashed a radiant white skin that had a natural contrast to her pure black lips. Her hair was red and so was the coloration of the pupil in her left eye. A freak of nature, just to think all her looks were natural. The maroon cape she was wearing over her black shirts tuck in her leather jacket added valor to her physique. For her height, it was further projected with black high heels that swore no allegiance to quietude.
” Dakota oh my Dakota. You are back again. I have missed you.” Said Gallagher in a melodious manner as he disembarked from his bike and headed straight towards her in a majestic manner. Along with her were four hefty men who wore the same cape as she did.
” Gallagher it’s you. I knew you couldn’t wait to see me. What a sorry excuse for a man who never changes.” She droned, gazing at him straight into the eyes as he dawned slowly on her.
” And what a sorry excuse for a lady who never forgives. Last time I checked, they said you were in Chicago. What devil has brought you back to my land eh?” Gallagher asked as he peered at the Maroon cape she was holding.
” Your land. Texas is your land? Even Dubois can’t lay a claim to that assertion. As you can see I’m busy taking my coins. Come again another day would you.” She said and turned to take her leave but was rendered immobile by Gallagher who caught her cape causing her men to point their guns at him again.
” Guys!” She cautioned them while Gallagher ignored them like they were never conceived by their mothers. ” I don’t like people walking out on me. It gets me angry my love.” Silvered Gallagher and lay a warm kiss on her wrist while the locals gawked in fear. For all they cared, Jazebel and lucifer were birds of same feathers who were always spinning evil in their looms.
” Your lovers are in your Brothel back at Bear creek. I was saved by Uriel from a cheating piece of shit like you.”
” Damn you Dakota! You can run as far as you want but just know you will always belong to me! I own you. I do!”
” Oh Shut up Gallagher! You had it good and threw it all in the drains. You know big man, there was a time in my life when i was ready to take down the whole world for you. There was nothing I wasn’t going to do to please you and what the hell did you do? You fucked my friend!” She yelled out causing some fat peasant to cringe in horror of her Vulgar. Gallagher was mute for a while. He wanted her to vent out her anger.
” You messed with the wrong lady. I bloom only once and you had your season” ” step aside and watch a real man treat me like the Queen I am.” She phrased majestically.
” Damn you! Show me a bastard born of man or wolf that dares to lay his hands on you in lust or love. I will have his head on stick by nightfall.” Roared Gallagher.
” Oh really. Well I must commend your guts. No doubt it’s a talk of the ages but trust me when I say you have your limits. You can’t even accept the fact that I’m gone for good. Man what kind of a bitch ass heart do you have!”
” Dakota! Don’t push me. I will bring down the city if you do!!!” He roared in rage, this time Around grabbing the nearest guard that pointed a riffle at him and clapping his skull to a pulp like it was a bulb of tomatoes. The peasants were frozen for a second or two. Poor nutrition had not afforded their brains to quickly process what they had just seen. Sooner than the headless body fell, did all of them scream out in Unison and scampered clandestinely to save their own heads. Dakota did nothing but smile at her ex while the rest of her men managed to keep their cool as they palpitated in fear.
” You just killed my man. You haven’t changed a bit and this senseless killings wouldn’t go unpunished. Guys let’s go.” She said and turned without taking another look at the lifeless guard.
” Your man huh? Any one who tags as your man would suffer the same fate.” Said Gallagher and raised his bloody hands for her to see.
” Oh well then. You are strong and powerful eh?. I will like to see you kill Maximus. His my man and now fucks my arse better than you ever did you lame bastard.” She chimed as she walked away without an ounce of fear or contempt in her words.
” I see the dogs have eaten your fear. It won’t profit you. Soon! You shall learn that fear is an awesome virtue.” Rambled Gallagher as he panted heavily in rage. He couldn’t swallow the fact that Maximus was now sleeping with his ex. Though powerful and rugged he knew he had his limits around the ultimate bad boy of the Werewolves. Maximus Denarius Montelban.
