Chapter 692 The Big Truth

Book:Deep Love: Let's remarry! Published:2024-6-2

“She was real nice to you.” Jane Gardner knew that just now and now, that everything Qing did was all for Zachary Irwin.
“What, envious again?” Zachary Irwin snorted coldly, he was like an emperor, his hands were folded on his knees, looking down on Jane Gardner in a way that was simply not too superior.
Jane Gardner looked at Zachary Irwin, she didn’t say anything and turned her head out of the window.
It was at this point that Zachary Irwin took a thorough look at the scars on her face.
“Here’s the medicine kit, you need to find any medicine you need to take care of your face yourself!” Zachary Irwin’s voice was cold and hard, but when he handed the medicine box to Jane Gardner, he unconsciously eased his movements.
“Jane Gardner, why did you save me earlier?” He asked his doubts out.
Jane Gardner took the medicine box and looked down to find the potion and cotton swabs, when she heard his question, the movement in her hands stalled, then she naturally raised her head and met him, “As you said, Zhong Jinghao now has someone he loves, he is with Gu Yi Ren, even if I don’t like you anymore, you are still my husband and the father of my two children.
In other words, you’re a long-term meal ticket for me and my children, if you’re around, we can all live a privileged life, if you die, we’ll have to fend for ourselves.”
Jane Gardner was obviously telling a lie; if Zachary Irwin died, with her share of THE Irwin’s equity claims, she could live the rest of her life with her children without having to work.
Zachary Irwin was so enraged by Jane Gardner’s literal words that he lost his sanity; he didn’t think of that level, much less hear that Jane Gardner had said it on purpose.
He felt that he was simply being self-absorbed and self-righteous.
“Scram! Get out of the car!” Zachary Irwin wanted to grab her by the neck with one hand and see her in pain, but when he thought about the fact that she had just gone through life and death, and at the moment there were still injuries on her face, he resisted his impulse.
But, he didn’t want to see Jane Gardner for a moment!
She had to leave at once!
Otherwise, he couldn’t tell what he would do to her later!
Jane Gardner looked askance at Zachary Irwin, and saw that he was indeed angry, as he always was, and that his face was livid.
She couldn’t help but remember what he had told her before, that in today’s world, only she, Jane Gardner, could make him so angry, and there was nothing she could do about it.
Jane Gardner motioned for the driver to stop the car, “Fine, I’ll roll! It’s a little ways to home anyway, Mr. Irwin, tonight, thanks.”
With those words, Jane Gardner opened the car door and walked away.
Out of the corner of her eye, a dampness flooded her.
She looked up at the night sky, the stars were shining brightly, and it was evident that tomorrow was supposed to be a good day.
Zachary Irwin glanced impatiently out of the car at Jane Gardner, seeing that she had forgotten her cell phone, he pressed down the window and threw the phone at her feet.
Jane Gardner bends down to pick up her cell phone and Zachary Irwin’s car has already turned the corner.
She listened to the sound of the car fade a little behind her, and the tears in her eyes no longer needed to be held back; she let them fall straight down her face.
She thought to herself, “She’s really getting more and more useless, the more she lives.
In the past, she was still able to hold back her fondness for him, but now, she can’t hold back at all.
These past few years, she obviously didn’t stay by his side much, but her feelings for him, on the contrary, became more and more intense.
Back in Maravilla, the children’s nanny are already asleep.
Jane Gardner did not want to wake them up, she went back to her room, did not bother to wash the blossom, directly fell on the bed.
She was really too tired, physically tired, mentally tired.
In a daze, Jane Gardner heard her cell phone ringing, she couldn’t hold her eyelids open, she directly squinted and answered the call.
“Jane Gardner, last night, had a pretty exciting time?” On the other side of the phone, was Alice Cox’s voice.
“It’s you!” Jane Gardner heard Alice Cox’s phone call and instantly lost her sleepiness, “That person who kidnapped me last night, you arranged it!”
“What proof do you have? As far as I know, that man could have said that it was all for one of his favorite contestants, who didn’t happen to be eliminated by you personally?”
Jane Gardner sneers, “You’re about to give birth and you’re still paying so much attention to my show, so it seems that you’re quite attached to me!”
“I’ve already aborted my baby!” Alice Cox mentioned the child, her voice became more and more grim, “It’s the induced abortion that was done yesterday, Jane Gardner, do you know that? When the baby was aborted, I took a look at her, it was a lovely girl, with full grown arms and legs, and a particularly cute appearance.”
Jane Gardner listened to Alice Cox’s description and got the creeps straight away.
“What the hell do you want? You’re in this situation today, all because of your own fault, I didn’t apologize to you!”
“You didn’t apologize to me? After all these years of our feud, don’t you think it’s time to end it all? Jane Gardner, I’ve lost my company, I’ve lost my husband, I’ve lost my children, and even the only thing I’ve ever been better at than you and the career I was most proud of has been destroyed at your hands, what do you think I want?”
Alice Cox thought she was crazy, she’d waited all night tonight.
She’d waited, she thought, for a kidnapped, defenseless Jane Gardner.
But Jane Gardner had been ever so lucky in her life, her people had failed, Jane Gardner had escaped.
Everything she’d prepared for, all for nothing.
“You just have a ruined face and wasted limbs, but you’re still alive, you can still write songs if you want to, and it can all start over again!” Jane Gardner frowned tightly, she had a clear conscience about Alice Cox.
Alice Cox had gotten herself into this situation because she had brought it on herself.
“You say that I ruined everything for you, but then who did it to Beck Moore, to my child?” Jane Gardner’s heart ached as she still thought of that lost child.
“You did lose have a child, but you still have two! What about me? What else do I have!” Alice Cox yelled frantically, her chest heaving violently and her eyes all red and bloodshot.
“Jane Gardner, be careful, from today on, every step you take, every glass of water you drink, be careful, maybe, one day, I’ll be right behind you, poisoning your water!”
Alice Cox laughed a few times and dropped her cell phone with a bang.
Jane Gardner listened to the murmur of voices coming from the other end of the line, and she pinched her brow in exhaustion.
After that, Jane Gardner didn’t take a day off, and with a bruise on her face, she put a Band-Aid on it and went about her business as usual.
Half a month later, Dragon City’s first audition was over, and there were five hundred contestants who were personally sent on their way to advancement by Jane Gardner.
“During this time, it’s been hard on you.” Wen Bai Ning cupped his wine glass and sat up from the sofa as he walked towards Jane Gardner to give her a toast.
Jane Gardner looked at the red lighted place, she wasn’t too comfortable with it, “I’ve had a great time this time, speaking of which, I want to thank you for giving me such an opportunity.”
“You simply enjoyed yourself? Didn’t find inspiration for your own music from them?” Wen Baining smiled faintly, he meant it.
Jane Gardner shook her head, this half-month, she had been so exhausted that she hadn’t really thought much about herself.
She had never forgotten that Zachary Irwin had said that he would only give her a month.
Now, halfway through the month, it was estimated that, in the future, she would only have half a career.
“Don’t you realize that you’re actually pretty much the same as them, except that you’re a little bit better than them because of your early debut, your beautiful voice, and your songwriting and stage experience.
But that’s something that, given time, all those people will surpass you step by step.
By then, who are you to be their judge? Who are you to tell them what to do?” Wen Bai Ning’s words were unpleasant, but he was telling the truth.
And, it was the sharpest, most pointed truth about Jane Gardner.
