Chapter 270: Deciding Not to Take the Pill

Book:Deep Love: Let's remarry! Published:2024-6-2

Probably because of her guilt, Jane Gardner was much gentler with Zachary Irwin, and didn’t say anything about leaving and wanting birth control.
She sat on the couch, looking at Zachary Irwin who was concentrating on his work behind the computer desk, and she put her hand on the small of her back.
She had been in bad shape before she got pregnant with Steven Irwin, and now five years later, she could get pregnant again so easily?
She closed her eyes and told herself that she would leave everything to God, and if she got pregnant, she gave Zachary Irwin happiness.
If she couldn’t get pregnant without birth control, she would have to keep Steven Irwin and give up Zachary Irwin.
Zachary Irwin did not know that her words had made Jane Gardner less reluctant to get pregnant.
He worked all morning with a cold face, and everyone who entered his office slunk out, almost without being scolded, including Andy Winters.
Andy Winters glanced lightly at Zachary Irwin and Jane Gardner, looking at them, one light-hearted and the other violent, and knew that he would become like this because of Jane Gardner.
“Young lady, the president is often angry, hurting his body, why don’t you bring this cup of tea to him to cool down his anger?” Andy Winters saw that Zachary Irwin had gone to answer the phone.
He walked over to Jane Gardner and set down the tea he had made.
Jane Gardner looks at Zachary Irwin, then at Andy Winters, and nods.
She carried the tea to Zachary Irwin, agreeing with Andy Winters that it was indeed bad for the body for young people to get angry so often.
“What? Nothing to do?” Zachary Irwin had just hung up the phone and he turned around just in time to see Jane Gardner put the tea on his desk.
Jane Gardner relayed Andy Winters’ words to him.
Zachary Irwin saw that Jane Gardner was concerned about himself, he grimaced, picked up his tea and gently put it to his lips, “Nine times out of ten I get angry because of you, if you don’t want me to get angry and hurt yourself, you should not do anything to provoke me.”
Zachary Irwin is telling the truth, he has been in the mall for many years, no one can provoke him.
Only Jane Gardner, could easily hook the heady anger inside him.
“I’m off the pill.” Jane Gardner took the phone back and said again.
“…” Zachary Irwin saw her words, he raised his eyebrows, his eyes fixed on her face, and finally, “What’s the trick again? Trying to catch me in the act? Trying to get me to let my guard down?”
Jane Gardner couldn’t resist, she rolled her eyes hard, “Believe it or not!”
She didn’t want to care about him anymore, she realized that if Zachary Irwin wasn’t angry, she was the one who was angry.
She was really off her medication, okay?
Zachary Irwin was half-hearted about Jane Gardner’s words, after all, her credibility with herself was too low, and it wasn’t the first time she lied to herself.
Soon, the day passed.
Jane Gardner saw that it was time to leave work, she stretched, ready to go back to The Shine with him.
But when they got to the car, they saw Zachary Irwin driving the car in the opposite direction.
“I said I’d take you to a big dinner yesterday.” Zachary Irwin saw Jane Gardner’s eyes wondering, and he returned.
“I want to go home, I don’t want to eat.” Jane Gardner wanted to go home with Steven Irwin, is really no appetite for any big dinner.
“You don’t eat if you want me to be angry!” Zachary Irwin turned his head sideways and pulled the car over to the side of the road.
Jane Gardner clenched her hands, she Jane breathed in and out, “I’ll eat!”
Zachary Irwin wondered why Jane Gardner was willing to compromise today, and he was happy with the change.
“The steak here is delicious, try it and see if you like it, if you don’t, I’ll switch you to lamb chops or foie gras, whatever you like.” Zachary Irwin elegantly sliced the steak and offered her his cut.
“It is indeed delicious, and much richer in flavor than it was five years ago.” Jane Gardner, who also enjoyed the steak, picked up a piece with her fork and put it to her lips, her eyes blooming.
“Just eat well, and we’ll talk about what we have to say afterwards.” Zachary Irwin frowned slightly when he saw Jane Gardner typing on her phone while she ate.
It was time for him to learn sign language, he thought.
After the meal, Jane Gardner thought, it’s always time to go back to The Shine.
As it turned out, Zachary Irwin took her to Dragon City’s snack bar again.
He lined her up for all kinds of snacks just like last time, and when he came back, his arms were full in his hands.
“Why, didn’t you say you liked the food? I didn’t get to eat in Laguna City, so I always have to make it up to you.” Zachary Irwin always keeps track of what Jane Gardner wants.
Just like yesterday, he heard the receptionist say that the clothes she was wearing were shabby, and today he immediately bought her a bunch of new products from big brands.
Jane Gardner looked at Zachary Irwin, she ignored the people on the street, stood on tiptoe and kissed him gently on the chin.
She hadn’t realized before that Zachary Irwin was actually a warm man.
At least, when he is not angry and not angry, he is already very good to himself.
On the contrary, what about her, she wanted to be nice to him five years ago, no chance, five years later …
“Next time you want to kiss, kiss harder!” Zachary Irwin knew Jane Gardner had herself in mind, he put his food on the curb, snapped the back of Jane Gardner’s head and kissed her again on the lips.
Does she really know that for men, a sloppy kiss is torturous?
By the time they returned to The Shine, Steven Irwin was asleep.
Jane Gardner left his room reluctantly and turned to go back to her room, but Zachary Irwin grabbed her around the waist.
“Really, no more birth control pills?” His eyes burned.
“…” Jane Gardner nodded and pushed him away. Forty-eight hours had almost passed, so there was no point in her taking the pill.
Besides, she didn’t think she could get pregnant that easily.
“Miss Gardner, if you’re free tomorrow, come to the set, your scene will be ready to shoot tomorrow.” Just as Zachary Irwin was about to use “pregnancy” as an excuse again, Ziv Smith’s phone rang first.
After a few rings, probably because he remembered that Jane Gardner could not talk right now, he hung up the phone and sent a text message instead.
Zachary Irwin probed to see Ziv Smith’s words and cupped Jane Gardner’s chin with two fingers, “I’ll drive you there tomorrow?”
Jane Gardner took her chin out of his hand, she was speechless, “I can go by myself, I can’t keep you from driving me every day, there’s still a long day ahead.”
Zachary Irwin stared at her last words, his eyes pleased, “Okay, then I’ll arrange for someone to drive you.”
With those words, he picked Jane Gardner up in his arms, not allowing her to escape his clutches.
Later, when Jane Gardner was ready to go to the theater, she never expected that the person Zachary Irwin had arranged for him was Rudolf Bartley.
Compared to Jane Gardner’s surprise, Rudolf Bartley knew about her return in advance and acted very calmly.
“Young lady, the young master has explained that in the future, I will be responsible for transporting you to and from work and to any place.” Rudolf Bartley face bland, voice tinged with a trace of excitement.
He also thought that after five years, he might never see Jane Gardner again in his life, but he never thought that God would be kind to good people after all.
Five years ago, since he found Zachary Irwin surrender, originally thought he would be severely tortured, or even send himself to prison.
He didn’t expect that Zachary Irwin would just throw him into training, using training instead of torture, to exercise him and at the same time make him remember his big mistake.
If he had known that the time he was in the hospital with Ivel Day, he would have told Jane Gardner the truth if he had let her lose her voice and disappear by using a doll to trick her.
He thought, Ivel Day did not hurt Jane Gardner, did not hurt Steven Irwin will be fine.
But he didn’t know that there are times when mental harm is worse than physical harm.
