Chapter 140: Ivel Day reappears

Book:Deep Love: Let's remarry! Published:2024-6-2

In the evening, Zachary Irwin came back and gave Jane Gardner a bouquet of flowers.
In all the time we’ve been married, this is the first time he’s sent flowers.
“It was my bad attitude this morning, I won’t do it next time. Look at these flowers, do you like them?” Zachary Irwin gave Jane Gardner the flowers and then embraced her behind his back, “I said I would take my time to learn how to love you, so I won’t go back on my word.”
Jane Gardner looked at the roses in front of her and she nodded, “Love it.”
Yes, since she couldn’t get Zachary Irwin out of her mind anyhow, she tried to accept it, but, she told herself, it was the last time.
“Besides flowers, what else do you like? Whatever you like, whatever it is, I’ll give it to you.” Zachary Irwin saw Jane Gardner nod, knowing he hadn’t given her the wrong flowers, and was instantly in a good mood.
He picked up Jane Gardner and placed her carefully on the couch, “What did you have for dinner tonight? Want to go around the lake again?”
Jane Gardner answered whatever Zachary Irwin asked.
They held hands and walked around The Shine, the air-conditioned pavilion still there, the air-conditioned tatami mats even more so than before.
“I’ve thought about it, when our children are born, I’ll build another villa in The Shine for us to live in, and when you like the lake view, we’ll arrange the master bedroom by the lake, and build a glass bridge to connect to our room, so that you can go there whenever you want to see it.” Inside Zachary Irwin’s brain is a picture of living in The Shine with Jane Gardner.
He had never wanted to live a normal, simple life before.
And now, he just wanted the usual simplicity.
“Okay, when the baby is born, we’ll live at The Shine all the time,” Jane Gardner’s hand was attached to her belly, and her lips curled lightly at the thought of a family of three living the life Zachary Irwin described.
“Do you know when I first fell in love with you?” Jane Gardner turned around, put her arms around Zachary Irwin and pressed her cheek to the direction of his chest, “At that time, I was working in a restaurant and was bullied by my manager, and you suddenly came down from the sky and helped me reprimand the manager.
That day, the sky was drizzling, you were wearing a dark blue suit, your tie was blue and black vertical stripes, the sound of your leather shoes seemed to knock on my heart, the closer you came, the more my breath caught.
You know what? You were my first heartthrob, and my biggest wish at that time was that you would come to the restaurant for dinner and I could set the table for you. But sadly, after that day, you never showed up again.”
Zachary Irwin listened to Jane Gardner’s words and thought about that time as well.
“Little fool, I was always there, but I was in the coffee shop next door. I see what you do at work every day and what people you receive.” Zachary Irwin nudged the tip of Jane Gardner’s nose with his finger, and once upon a time he couldn’t believe that he could have a day when he treated people with such compassion.
And right now, he just wants to give Jane Gardner all the best and most beautiful things in the world, and he can’t even say a word to her, and he doesn’t want to give her a cold look.
He thought he had wanted to treat her that way for a long time.
It’s just that they used to be at loggerheads, and their long arguments made him forget his own heart.
The two talked for a long time, and Jane Gardner discovered many aspects of Zachary Irwin that she did not know before.
Zachary Irwin, too, never knew how lonely Jane Gardner had been during the three years she waited for him in Maravilla.
He did not know that she had been waiting for him in silence.
The Shine’s life, simple and uneventful, harmonious and quiet, Jane Gardner and Zachary Irwin did not mention Alice Cox again, the two are like the first love of the young.
The two are like youngsters in love for the first time. They think about how to be good to each other and how to make each other feel the love of each other.
The way Zachary Irwin was kind to Jane Gardner was to send flowers one day, the latest clothes the next, and the Irwin’s newest treasures the day after that.
Jane Gardner was kind to Zachary Irwin by cooking with Nanny Finn one day, making soup with Nanny Finn the next, and making dessert for Zachary Irwin the day after that.
During the week, Jane Gardner took in enough clothes to fill a room.
Zachary Irwin has gained three pounds under Jane Gardner’s feeding.
“Touch it, your baby is kicking me.” Jane Gardner was listening to a song in her recliner when a sudden movement in her abdomen caused her to call Zachary Irwin over.
Zachary Irwin, who was handling business next to her, heard Jane Gardner’s words and rushed over, only to see Jane Gardner’s belly really had a little foot kicking, and he watched the baby kick from one end to the other, Jane Gardner’s pajamas were moving along with it.
“Little one, so naughty even before birth, dare to kick your mother after birth, see if I don’t beat you to death!” Zachary Irwin pretended to threaten the child, the child did not know whether it understood Zachary Irwin’s words or what, suddenly quiet.
“Don’t scold him, he’s still young.” Jane Gardner saw that the child did not move, and fearing that he really understood, she scolded Zachary Irwin.
As soon as Jane Gardner’s words were finished, the little one who had gone quiet began to move again in small areas.
Jane Gardner watched her belly bulge and felt amazing.
Zachary Irwin, too, followed Jane Gardner and watched the baby’s movements for half an hour.
After half an hour, the little one seemed to be tired and did not move anymore.
The first time I divorced you, it was really hard to think that I would leave him after the baby was born. We’ll never be separated again as a family!
And most importantly, don’t you ever say you don’t love me again!” Jane Gardner remembered how many times Zachary Irwin had said he didn’t love her, and her heart still ached and hurt.
“Jane, I think, I should love you. You don’t even know how happy I was when I heard you say you’ve always loved me, and how many times I used to ask you if you loved me just because I was afraid you wouldn’t.” For the first time, Zachary Irwin told Jane Gardner what he really thought as he looked at her and kissed her on the cheek.
“You too, from now on, no lying to me, no saying you don’t love me anymore. I’m a very serious person, and as long as I believe it, you’re not allowed to go back on your word!”
Zachary Irwin mentioned the previous incident and glared at Jane Gardner with hatred, “Also, since you are my lover, you are not allowed to give anyone else a chance! No matter who it is, no one! You can only be mine for the rest of your life!”
After saying that, Zachary Irwin shifted his position and bit Jane Gardner on the neck hard.
Of course, he avoided Jane Gardner’s knife wound.
It was a night of great love.
The next day, Jane Gardner received a call from Selena Lott saying that her song had won an award and that record sales were still going up.
Jane Gardner didn’t think her first album would be such a success, and she went to her study, elated, to share the news with Zachary Irwin.
She had just reached the door when she heard a phone call from Zachary Irwin to Ivel Day.
It had been so long since Jane Gardner had last met with Ivel Day, a few months ago. In those months, Ivel Day had never shown up, and she thought that she would never see her again in her life.
“Ivel Day! I didn’t love you before, and I won’t love you again. Whatever you do, it’s none of my business, and in the future, don’t you ever call me again!” Zachary Irwin didn’t know what he heard Ivel Day say, and he hung up the phone angrily.
As soon as he turned around, he saw Jane Gardner.
Jane Gardner looked at Zachary Irwin awkwardly, then pushed the door open and walked towards him, “Just now, was that Ivel Day?”
