Urges

Book:Animal Instinct Published:2024-6-2

The urge was hard to control. Especially around Ari. He wanted sex almost all the time, he tried to distract himself with other things to reduce his anxieties, sometimes it helps. Whenever it came, it was as if his body wasn’t his own. Something else took over him and the only way to get it out of his system was to have sex.
It was hurting her, he had to find some other way to get his fix. He found himself surrounded by women who were more than willing to satisfy his needs. He didn’t have to hurt Ari anymore, it was a win-win situation.
He would close his eyes whenever he was with other women and pictured Ari’s face in his mind. She was his obsession, she caused this erratic behavior in him. Sometimes he even covered the girl’s face whenever she tried to look at him, it would ruin his fantasies.
At the office, in a meeting, in the car ride, at the Country Club, when he was drinking with his friends, anywhere, everywhere, the urges followed him like a shadow. To make matters worst, these women he snatched to have sex with, more often than not, wanted something more than just sex.
He would sleep with these girls more than once to have some kind of stability in his sexual frenzy. They weren’t even sleeping, it was just pure sex outlet. He saw her, they fuck, he’s gone. And given who he was, they wanted the relationship to be more than just that. It was annoying. He hated that. No one seemed to understand, Ari is the only girl he wants in his life, and what he was doing was to protect Ari from hurting.
The worst possible moment for his urges to come was on his wedding day. He was feeling anxious since the days leading up to his wedding. It peaked as the moment passed and was closer to the ambush his father had planned to take place that day.
He grabbed Sara, the woman he’d been fucking for several months and who was a guest at the wedding. Took her to his bedroom, told her to strip down to nothing and bend over. She’d been whining for him to cancel his wedding because she said she was in love with him. Not that any of that mattered to him, he told her the fucks will not stop so she didn’t have to worry.
The worst thing that could happen every time he does that is Ari walking in on him. It happened much too often for their own good. Ari screamed hysterically the first time, she blindly punched him on his chest and face, called him terrible things. All of it was understandable, he would tightly wrap his arms around her until she calms down. She didn’t seem to understand no matter how many times he explained that he only did it because of her.
She would sulk and hated him for it. He would grovel at her feet, ask for her forgiveness, show her how much he truly deeply loved her and that she was the only one for him. He even broke a girl’s arm when she laughed at Ari’s crying when she had caught them having sex. Some people are just so insensitive, he thought.
The wedding day was the worst of the worst. She couldn’t even speak, not even a sound when she entered the room and saw him fucking this girl from behind. Her face was drained of any colors, she turned around and walked away. That was it, he thought. She’s not gonna forgive him this time.
He put on his clothes, it took longer than usual because he was wearing his wedding tux. He ran out the door and saw Ari in the arms of another man, with a gun pointed to her head. Before he could figure out what was going on, he heard the gunshots. The ambush. It must be related to the attack that his father had planned, he turned around and went back to his room instead.
Sara was panicking, “What’s going on? What’s that noise? Why are they screaming?”
He pushed her to the bed, “Shut up!”
He picked up his disposable phone, paced back and forth, “I told you not to touch my wife!”
“That was the order,” the man on the other side replied.
“Somebody’s holding a gun to my wife’s head … if she’s hurt … I will kill every one of your fucking men … do you hear me? Call it off!”
“I don’t understand … the order was clear … everyone else except your parents and your wife.”
“Well who the fuck is holding a gun to my wife’s head?”
“It’s not one of ours … that’s for sure.”
He hung up and slammed the phone on the floor, it broke into pieces.
“What the hell is going on, Armand? Who’s holding the gun to your wife’s head?” Sara was hysterical and naked on the bed. She started crying.
Armand rummaged through his wardrobe and opened his secret box. He took his gun, refilled the bullets and cocked it.
Sara was screaming, “Are they killing all those people? Armand … what are you going to do with that gun?”
He calmly raised his gun and pointed to her face. He fired five times. “To shut you up, bitch!”
He stormed out of his room with a gun pointed forward. Someone was taking his wife, it was rage he couldn’t contain. When he arrived at the hall there was no one left except his father.
“Where’s Ari?” he was panting.
“You did well, son,” Cossimo said.
He saw his mom was dead on the floor. “Mom?”
“I had to make it look real … sometimes we have to make sacrifices to gain something bigger.” Cossimo had ordered for his wife to be killed in the raid.
Armand was down on his knees next to his mother’s dead body. “What did you do? What the hell did you do? Where’s my wife?”
“Now that is a question I can’t answer … I didn’t see her here, she was looking for you before they came.”
“You fucking liar!! You had them take her away from me? You promised … she wasn’t supposed to get hurt,” he stood up and pointed the gun at Cossimo.
“No, I swear … Ari was not part of the deal,” his father looked confused.
“Someone was holding a gun to her head when I came out of the room … you let them take her,” he was breathing heavily, his hands trembling clutching the gun tightly.
Before his father could say anything else, he fired the gun. The bullet hit Cossimo’s head, he fell to the floor. Armand fired again, again and again but he was out of bullets. He screamed his lungs out in frustration. The single bullet had toppled his father down and left him in a coma for the next few days.
When his men came. Armand was sitting on the floor, his face was blank, his eyes hollow. His dad was bleeding to death next to him, his mother was dead. His in law’s brain splattered all over the place and his wife was gone.
“There’s a woman in my bedroom … get rid of her, clean the room before the police get here,” he told them.
They were flustered, there was so much mess to take care of.
He stood up and pulled the collar of one of his men, “Get rid of that bitch from my bedroom … clean it, now! Just leave this for the police!” he kicked him on the leg.
