‘Hurry, electric shocks! Electric shocks!”
The strong stoke electric power was transmitted into her body one after the other. Perhaps she didn’t want to leave or she wanted to live. After a few of electric shocks, her breath came back.
The doctor cleaned the sweat and opened the door. Jimmy got hold of him immediately, ‘How was she?”
The doctor took of the facial mask and told him to calm down. And then he said, ‘She got the terminal cancer and the affected cells are spreading. She won’t have much time.”
His eyes were wide open, and his body was shivering. He was about to scratch the person who was talking nonsense in front of him.
Hark said there was still 30% possibilities to cure her. But why did he say she didn’t have much time?
How could she die so fast? What would he do? Without he, what could he do?
He snatched the doctor and rush to the emergency room. The nurses were frightened totally by his looks. He took the operating knife, pointing to the doctor, ‘Can it be cured?”
Jimmy was totally crazy now. If he wanted them to die, they would definitely.
The doctor saw he was out of his mind, and threatened, ‘this is the hospital. If you do anything wrong, you cannot get away.”
‘I never thought of getting away. If she dies, it makes no difference if I live or die.” Jimmy said determinedly.
Sandra in bed uttered suddenly, ‘Stop!”
The knife fell down and Jimmy let go the doctor and rushed to the bed to look at her with joy.
Sandra sounded awful with broken voice. She could only open a slit in her eyes, but she tried her best to speak, ‘don’t corner anyone. They didn’t make me get brain cancer, and they shouldn’t be blamed.”
Jimmy nodded, holding her cold hands. He had no idea what she said, because he didn’t catch a word.
‘Tell me if one day I may forget all of you even before I die?”
Jimmy got stiff and then consoled her, ‘No, you won’t forget. If you forget, you still have that notebook with all the memories noted down there.”
She curled his lips and thought her life was on that notebook, which was so pathetic.
But, he forgot almost everything. One day she murmured to Jimmy, ‘What is my name? I cannot remember.”
A person who couldn’t remember her name. her look made Jimmy devastated.
‘Little fool, your name is Sandra.” He never thought he would tell her her own name one day like this.
She nodded as if she understood but then asked in puzzlement, ‘But why do I remember others called me Mrs. Fu?”
His eyes turned red. This day came eventually.
Something was dripping out of the corner of his eyes. He turned to wipe it off and turned to Sandra, smiled forcefully, ‘Your memory served you correctly.”
He never thought to have her remember Clinton again when her memory was fading away. That man hurt her so much and there was nothing beneficial to remember him.
So, he wouldn’t show her the notebook too.
Sandra looked at him, puzzled. She couldn’t tell what he meant by that. And her head was aching suddenly. She held her head closely with her hands with a painful look on her face.
Jimmy asked immediately, concerned, ‘Are you okay? Headache again?”
He was about to get the doctor but got back by Sandra, ‘was I Mrs. Fu?”
He looked at her and didn’t want to cheat her again and replied indifferently, ‘You are Mrs. Fu.”
She paused for a while and then smiled with joy. It was the first time she put on such a splendid smile for days.
‘Really?”
He nodded gently and looked the other way to avoid her eyes, as her smile looked so cruel in his eyes.
Sandra forgot even his name but she could still remember Clinton’s name. She loved him to her bones. Her body was covered with the memories about him.
He lost completely. He must accept the defeat willingly.
The tears blurred his sight so that he had to look up to the ceiling. When the tears dried up a bit, he turned to her, ‘Wait for me. I go to get Mr. Fu for you.”
She smiled like a child. She nodded, ‘Thank you.”
Jimmy put on a smile with difficulty. He must get Clinton, even if it meant he might need to threaten him or beat him to faint.
