Two weeks after her miscarriage, she packer her suitcase. She put in all her maternity clothes she bought in Bhorma, she was taking them home to keep in her closet. She couldn’t bear to look at them anymore, at least for a while. She loft most of her summer outfit on the hotel’s wardrobe, she will be back in a month or so.
She looked into the mirror after she showered, and really looked for the first time. Her breasts, they weren’t round anymore. Her belly was getting back into its normal size, but not quite yet. The small incision from the C-section was visible, it was almost completely healed. Stretch marks, like footprints of what had been in her swollen belly. Soon enough, her body will get back to the way it used to look, except for the stretch marks.
She put on her robe, tied the knot and walked out from the bathroom. Gabriel was standing over her suitcases, he came in from the internal elevator. She wasn’t sure what he was doing there.
“You’re leaving tomorrow?” his hands were in his pockets.
She nodded and walked over to him. She missed him … so much. She felt it most when there’s just the two of them. She looked up at him.
His eyes softened. He touched her cheek, “Were you not going to say goodbye to me?”
Their faces were so close. She didn’t bother to answer him. She wanted him to touch her again, the way he did before. Her whole body wilted around him. She made her way to kiss him, and she didn’t want to break away from him.
Her tongue, his tongue, her breath, his breath. “Make love to me again, Gabriel,” she said under her breath.
He slid down her robe without a second thought. She covered her body with her arms, she was self conscious about her stretch marks and how her excess skin was still not back the way it used to.
Gabriel gently pulled away her arms, “I want to see you,” he took a good look at her. “You’re beautiful,” he said. He slowly took off his own clothes, he never took her eyes off her.
He stood naked and perfect in front of her, she wanted to turn the lights off and hide from his gaze in the dark, but it was too late. He laid her on the bed, pinned her arms above her head. He devoured her body and gave her the pleasure she longed from him.
She surrendered to him. He always does that to her. Once he got her on her back, it was over for her. There was no other way but to submit to his heated passion as he moved her to oblivion.
“Why didn’t you stop me from going back to Lancaster?” she asked, glistened in sweat, her breath shortened.
He ran his finger around the swell of her breast to her side, “No one can stop you from doing what you’ve set your mind to.”
“Do you still love me? Without our baby?” she finally asked.
They looked into each other’s eyes as he formed his answer, “What I feel for you cannot be described in just one word, Jamie … you ask such a peculiar question, makes me think it’s you who doesn’t love me … without our baby?”
She paused for a moment, “Why did you agree to go to that pier with me that day? You’re such a private person, you always hide from the world … yet you took a chance on a complete stranger to take you out on a walk and be that vulnerable?”
He tilted an eyebrow with a faint smile, “I was curious,” he said simply. “I’m a man with a very specific taste … and you were just my type.”
Jamie burst out laughing, “Really? That was it?”
He nodded lightly, “I’ve never done anything like that … ever … and when you took me to that God awful motel … I thought … I’m going to fuck her out of her mind like she’s ever been fucked before in her life … but then you told me you didn’t want to be kissed,” he chuckled. “I’ve never felt so challenged … and Jamie …” he rolled over and wrapped his arms around her waist, “You worth every bed bug infested on that bed that I would even consider doing it all over again.”
She laughed her head off, she could imagine how horrified he must’ve been to be in that motel room. “So it’s the sex? Without the sex … where would that leave us?”
“Isn’t that why you want to go back to Lancaster for a month? To figure it out?”
They stared at each other in silence again, “What will happen after a month, Gabriel?”
“I never really have a say on anything with you, have I? You tell me, Jamie, tell me what you will do to me after a month?” his hand was wandering along her thigh and teased around her center before he made his way in.
“But … What do you want, Gabriel? I have to take into consideration,” she sighed between his strokes.
He leaned closer and spoke into her ear, “I told you what I want … I want you to come home with me … so I can tie you up in my basement and make you my slave … I’ll fuck you stupid every night and you’ll beg me to come inside you.”
She laughed, “Do you really have a torture chamber in your basement?”
He lifted her arms up against the bed, “Oh yeah … completed with a portal to another dimension where I summon Satan once every full moon,” he said it with a flat expression. “Now how about I fuck you stupid again and drive you crazy? So you’ll have something to think about when you touch yourself while you’re away from me?” he was kissing her neck and made her giggle.
“So you’re not going to give me a serious answer to my question?” she tried.
He split her legs apart, her arms pinned against the bed, she felt him between her thighs teasing her into temptation. “It doesn’t matter what I want, Jamie, what matters is what you want … what do you want? Tell me … I will give it to you.”
Just his voice and the way he said it made her head spin. She felt him everywhere, stimulating her every senses. His tongue on her skin, his weight on top of her, his strong legs next to hers. She sighed.
She wrapped her legs around his waist and pulled him to find his way in, “Just do it, Gabriel … don’t make me wait like that.”
A wicked smile spread across his face, “I thought you’d never ask.”
