She dried her hair and put on her robe. There was a subtle knock on the door. Room service? Then she remembered she hadn’t ordered anything, although she should. She hadn’t eaten anything since her interrupted lunch. She walked to the door and opened it.
He stood by the door with both arms stretched against the frame. Those light brown eyes were looking straight at her. She breathed his scent, he smelled the way he did that morning.
“Gabriel? I thought you were in Lancaster?”
“I turned around,” he said.
He walked into the room and she closed the door behind him.
“Are you alright?” he asked.
“Yeah … I’m fine,” she tidied up her wet hair.
“I saw him force himself on you,” he told her.
She stood silent, not knowing how to respond.
“Are you alright?” he made sure.
She nodded, “I’m alright.”
He stepped forward and stood only an inch away from her, “Are you sure?” his eyes darkened, what he saw that day scared him.
She felt his fear. Fear of her being harmed right in front of his eyes, in his hotel. This man must really care about her. They looked at each other in silence but the tension was building between them.
He charged with a kiss to her half-gaping mouth.
His lips on hers felt so good. It was what she had been craving for since she couldn’t even remember. It didn’t surprise her that her whole body reacted to the kiss, then he pulled away. He wanted to see her reaction to it, her eyes said everything.
He pulled the knot on her robe slowly until it fell open. She was naked underneath. Her heart pounded faster, he wanted her, she could feel it. She slid her robe down and let it fall on the floor. It was the sight that’s been haunting his sleep since they first met, and there she was standing naked in front of him.
He grabbed her and picked her off the floor, engulfed her in his kiss.
She dug her hands in his hair and did not let him pull away from her again.
He laid her on the bed and started to unbutton his shirt, but she kept pulling him to kiss her. He struggled to get his clothes off and not to mention his pants. “Jamie … I need to get this off first,” he said as she kept pulling him.
“Let me get that for you,” she swiftly unbuttoned the rest of his shirt and moved on to his pants as he watched how fast she moved.
When she was done, she took a deep breath and braced herself for him.
He hovered over her, took her hand and dragged it to her center, he rubbed it against her so she was touching herself. He looked at her in the eyes as he pulled her hand towards his mouth and he tasted her fingers.
“When you touched yourself … who were you thinking about?” his voice seduced her every sense.
He must know it was him. He was so confident when he said it was obvious, that night was the best sex she ever had in her life.
She pushed her fingers into his mouth and pulled him towards her along with it. She felt him hanging over her pelvis, he was ready.
She didn’t have to say it, it was him she was touching herself with in her mind. She grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him to her mouth. Like a hand to a glove, he fits right in. She sighed.
When he watched her touch herself in pleasure in her half hanging nightgown, all he wanted to do was to rip it off of her and pinned her on the bed until she surrendered to him, until she was drunk in ecstasy and all she could do was moan and whimper.
All he wanted was to spread her open and thrust himself inside her until she burst under him and tremble, until she was limp on her back and squeezed his arms with all the strength she had left. Until her mouth gaped open and her eyebrows creased as she felt herself exploding underneath him.
All he wanted was to fill her up until she overflowed in a psychedelic dream that she couldn’t feel anything else other than him. Dripping in sweat, gasping for breath and she sighed and sighed in his ear and he caught her mouth and pushed his tongue into her throat until he came like a blazing thunder upon her tummy.
Gabriel did just that to his very last drip, he fell over at her side as her sweet limped body slumped over him.
“Gabriel,” she called him softly.
He was catching his breath, he gazed at her and wondered if Eddie hadn’t come to his hotel that day, this love-making session wouldn’t have happened at all. Her beautiful face beside him moved in slow motion in his mind.
“I love the way my name sounds on your lips,” he said to her.
She touched his lips, “It was you,” she said, “I was thinking of you,” she finally told him.
**********
She got up early in the morning and hurried to put on some clothes. Gabriel laid stark naked on her bed. She remembered she had forgotten to brief her crew on a few tasks they needed to get done that day. She felt a hand pulled her.
“Where are you going?” his eyes were still heavy with sleep.
“There’s something I need to do,” she didn’t have time to explain.
“Breakfast?”
“I can’t … maybe brunch?”
He crossed his arms behind his head resembling an ancient Greek statue she had seen in a museum somewhere. “Okay,” he said.
“Find me at the beach later?” she was done putting on her sneakers, she was going for a long walk.
“Okay.”
His eyes twinkled under his thick brows, he was too beautiful to ignore but she really needed to go. So she left him lying idle with his morning glory wishing she had more time for one more round with him.
He didn’t have anything to do that day, he was supposed to be in Lancaster for a business deal which he cancelled. He got up to the bathroom to take a cold shower, rubbed off himself for still wanting to pin her down on the bed.
He had compromised himself by sleeping with another man’s wife. She had become his weakness. She made him cross the line. He was always in control, he was slowly losing it. He thought about Eddie, the fucking bastard has to finalize his divorce soon. Maybe after brunch.
The sun was high, it was a little after eleven. He walked down the beach to look for her. One of her crew said she went to the next beach earlier to get more eggs and was back empty handed, someone had already stolen the eggs.
She was upset and she went again with an assistant to find a person in charge. She wanted someone to be responsible to protect the nests before she could collect them. She had been walking under the sun back and forth since morning.
No wonder she had a gorgeous tan, he thought.
He shields his eyes from the scorching Bhorma sun and saw she was walking back from the neighboring beach. She waved at him from afar. She stopped for a moment to catch her breath and bent over.
Her assistant leaned over to ask her whether she was okay, she nodded. But she was still bending over and held her head.
Gabriel was looking at them confused, something didn’t feel right. Before he could think of anything, she collapsed on the sandy beach. Her assistant went down on his knees to check on her.
“Jamie? Jamie?”
He could hear her assistant calling out to her in a panic as he was running towards them. She wasn’t moving, she was out cold and pale. Something was definitely wrong. Gabriel checked her pulse, she was breathing. He looped his arms to pick her up, “Get my car,” he said to her assistant and carried her to the Peninsula.
