They immediately rushed Amelia to the hospital. Liam wanted to enter the operation room but was stopped by a nurse.
He ruffled his hair, he couldn’t believe Amelia got hit by a truck. He felt guilty and wished he had never left.
Elliot came running towards him, he saw Elliot and the eyes in his eyes came down rolling as he pointed to the operation where Amelia was.
“She will be fine”Elliot assures him, pulling him to his embrace as he cries on his shoulder.
Elliot felt sad seeing Liam break down like this, he silently prays nothing happens to Amelia.
Claudia went back to the party, she was so nervous and scared since Elliot saw her running away from the scene.
“Oh God I hope he doesn’t suspect me”Claudia mutters ruffling her hair in frustration.
Laila noticed Claudia nervousness and came to meet her.
“Hey are you okay?”Laila questions Claudia.
Claudia gazes upon Laila and frowns. She wonders why she was asking about her all of a sudden.
“Why do you care huh?”Claudia frowns, scoffing in the middle.
“I was just asking because you don’t love too good”Laila pointed out, she tried touching her forehead but Claudia slapped her hand off.
“Don’t touch me okay”Claudia warns her before taking to her hills.
“Do you know where Amelia is?” Laila suddenly asked. Claudia halt on her tracks on hearing Laila ask her about Amelia.
“I don’t…know…why asking me?”Claudia nervously stuttered, tugging on her collars while breathing heavily.
“Hey calm down okay, I go search for her”Laila announced, staring at Claudia weirdly.
“Crazy woman”Laila remarks before leaving.
Claudia immediately left the party hall and ran out of our building. She needed to know if her plan worked or not.
“Hello” Claudia called the man she hired.
“Never call this number again”She warns before hanging up. She immediately blocked his number, Claudia held her chest and breathed out a sigh of relief.
She felt like everything wasn’t going well for her. She decided to call Liam and asked about Amelia.
“No I shouldn’t call him, he will ask how I knew about her accident, I shouldn’t call him”Claudia concluded by switching off her phone.
She decided to go to the hospital where Amelia was taken too , but she had no idea which hospital.
She saw a cleaner and suspected that he could have been here when they took Amelia.
“Hello mister”Claudia calls out for the man, He stop and turns to look at Claudia.
“Yes, can I help you?”He politely asked.
“Sorry to bother you, I just wanna ask if you saw the accident that happened a while ago?”Claudia questions him hoping he did.
“Yes I did, I feel bad for the girl and wish nothing bad happens to her”The man uttered silently praying for the well wishes of Amelia.
Claudia glares at her, she wanted her to die yet he was praying for Amelia’s safety which made it felt like everyone was against her wish.
“Anyway, did you know the hospital she was taken to?”Claudia asked, she stared at him as he tried to recall something.
“Oh I think I heard them take her to the city hospital”The man announced, Claudia smirks a little.
“Thanks you can go now”She thanked him, he left wondering why she was asking him questions.
Claudia POV
I’m coming for you Amelia, you better be dead when I arrive cause even though you are not dead I will make sure I end you.
Liam was staring at Amelia inside the operation room laying on the bed with wires all over her body.
He felt guilty seeing her in this state and only wished he didn’t yell at her , he remembered telling her to leave his sight and never come back.
“I’m so sorry teddy I didn’t mean it, please come back to me”Liam begs with his gloomy eyes, he caresses the window wishing he could touch her.
“She is gonna be fine bro”Elliot assures him from behind, handling him a coffee.
Liam turned his gaze to Elliot, he shook his head slowly as he wasn’t in the mood for anything.
“She won’t leave you okay, you just need to calm down and don’t stress yourself too much”Elliot was worried about Liam, as he had been crying since and that will definitely be affecting his weak heart.
“I’m fine okay, but she is not”Liam uttered referring to Amelia on the sick bed.
“She will be fine,”Elliot assures him.
Liam turns to look at Amelia again, The thought of Claudia running away nervously when he bumped into her replayed in his mind.
“Could she be behind this?”Elliot questions, hoping he will get the answers to his questions soon.
Claudia arrived at the hospital, she had her face covered as she didn’t want anyone recognizing her, especially Elliot.
She saw a nurse approaching her way and thought it is best to ask about Amelia so she knows where to go.
“Excuse me”Claudia blocks the nurse path preventing her from walking, she looks at Claudia weirdly as her eyes scans her attire.
“Who are you?”The nurse asked.
“Actually I’m the patient Amelia sister, but I have forgotten which room she was in. Can you please tell me”Claudia politely asked, covering her face with her scarf properly.
“Oh she is in room 209″The nurse blurted out.
“Oh thank you so much nurse”Claudia thanked the nurse for the vital information she had just received.
“You welcome”The number flashes her a smile before leaving.
“You have no idea nurse you just made my job easy”Claudia beckons with a wide smirk spread across her face before leaving to find the room Amelia was in.
Elliot kept thinking if Claudia had a hand in what had happened to Amelia when he bumped into someone.
“Oh my goodness are you okay?”He asked the lady covering her face with a scarf , he didn’t know it was Claudia.
Claudia froze on hearing Elliot’s voice, she held her scarf tighter hoping he wouldn’t recognize her.
“Hmm”Claudia quietly hummed and nodded her head slightly.
“Oh okay”Elliot mutters before leaving.
Claudia breathed out a sigh of relief, but froze when Elliot halted at his tracks and turned back.
“Do we by any chance know each other?”He questions as his eyes scan the lady in a scarf suspiciously.
“No”Claudia mutters silently hoping he won’t be able to recognize her voice.
She immediately left not waiting for him to talk or ask more questions. Elliot watches as she runs nervously and sighs.
“Who could she be, her voice sounds familiar”Elliot tries recalling who she sounded like.
Liam was still looking at Amelia from outside , she was fighting for her life in that room and he couldn’t help but blame himself for the situation she was in.
“Please wake up teddy, I miss you so much” Liam begs as memories of them together come flashing in his mind.
Flashback
You want to be my secretary?”He repeats not quite sure of what he just heard. She bends her head down a bit staring at the lovely decors on the tiles floor. Liam grin and held in his laughter, he can only imagine the stress she must have went through to look for a job as it wasn’t that simple to be a employee in a office or any other place.
“Yea, if the offer is still available”She mutters with the lowest tone a human could ever use earning a scoff from Liam.
“Can you speak up!”The annoyance was evident from his tone as he despised her low self esteem that makes it difficult for her to request or do something without having doubts.
“Can I be your secretary!”She yelled from the top of her voice.
He was astonished with the way she just yelled and let out a deep chuckle as she stared at him wondering what was funny to him.
“What’s funny?”She questions his sudden laughter.
“Well I find your low self esteem a little bit amusing, I mean your esteem wasn’t this low before”. He stroke his chin like something intriguing had popped on his mind.
She noticed he was deep in thoughts and panicked on what might be going through his mind.
“Well I don’t really feel myself today”She stated while rubbing her head a bit to make it seem believable. His eyes trailed from her face to her hand and frown when he saw a red mark on her hand.
“What happened?”He eagerly questioned her as he wanted to know what happened.
She was confused by the question until her eyes followed the direction on where his eyes trailed too and saw the red marks on her hand. She found it strange because she hadn’t noticed it before, she immediately hides the hand behind her back making Liam more suspicious and eager to know what happened.
“Go on”He ushered her to speak up.
Amelia sighed as she knew they was no way out of this she had to say something.
“I fell,”She simply uttered.
“You fell?”He repeats doubtfully, not buying what she just said.
“Yea it’s that serious though, I don’t know why it created a mark” She nervously laughed trying to clear off the tension she was feeling.
“Okay”He gives up making Amelia breathe out a heavy sigh of relief in her mind. She felt like a heavy weight had been lifted off her chest until Liam’s words made her freeze.
“Do you remember Andrew now?”He questions her out of the blue.
Her breath seized as she suddenly felt like she was about to collapse, Liam noticed her nervousness but decided not to talk about it.
“Are you okay?”He asked her, a bit suspicious and worried.
“Yes”She nervously nodded.

He wonders why he never actually put one or two together, as she had always been unconsciously calling him Liam but he didn’t realise until now.

“Don’t say anything teddy”He tells her.
Amelia was a bit scared of what was going on in his head. He looked down to see her biting her bottom lips with nervousness and smirks.
