“Lavinia, why are you crying?”
“There are many cars here. Let’s sit in another place and talk about it first, shall we?”
Lauren stretched out his hand to pull Lavinia up, but Lavinia subconsciously shrank her shoulders and refused Lauren’s kindness.
“Monitor, I’ll see you next time. I feel uncomfortable. I will go back first.”
She stretched out her hand and recruited the car. She sat in the taxi, tears circling in her eyes.
There was no familiar person here, and she could finally cry well and boldly.
She let the taxi wander around the city aimlessly. When the master asked her where to go, she only said to keep driving.
Chris regretted it soon after driving away. It was only two kilometers away. He was troubled that she would be alone.
Chris thought the woman was still there, but after the past, Lavinia and Lauren disappeared.
Chris took out a cigarette and lit it. Then, he sat in the car and smoked it. When He finished one cigarette, he started the car and left.
Maybe the one with her was her favorite, and he was nothing to Lavinia.
In the evening, Chris sat and waited alone in the villa’s living room until the sky was a fish-belly grey, and no one came back.
Lavinia had nowhere to go. So she hid downstairs in her mother’s ward and sat in the pavilion all night. She had a fever and was faint.
Her phone was clean, and Lauren made many calls and sent many messages, but she didn’t even look at it and deleted it directly.
Instead, it was the phone call she expected from Chris. But there’s nothing from that man.
She felt like she was an idiot. She gave him heart and soul, and she couldn’t gain even the most basic trust.
“Miss, are you all right? Do you want to call a doctor for you?”
Lavinia only felt her head dizzy. Before she lost consciousness, she seemed to hear someone calling her and someone calling the doctor.
But that has nothing to do with her. Chris didn’t believe her. Who cared about her?
“The patient is pregnant and has a fever. There is not even a person in charge. She is too pitiful. Who can contact her family?”
“I saw her sitting in the pavilion last night and thought she would leave. I didn’t expect to sit for one night. No one could stand it, let alone she was still and pregnant.”
Several people watched Lavinia being pushed away by the doctor with their own eyes. Then, when they were free, they also sat and chatted.
Erik came to the hospital to deliver breakfast to his mother before going to work. He was not interested in hospital gossip at all. Then, suddenly, he heard many people here talking about a pregnant woman fainting.
At first, he didn’t care until he heard more and more news, and he had a feeling that the girl people were talking about was familiar to him. So Erik stopped and asked: “Grandpa, is the girl you mentioned was a girl with long hair and seemed like the early twenties?”
When Erik saw the older adult nodded his head, he suddenly felt like something was wrong.
“You are the family member of the little girl. The girl’s state is not very good. The doctor has already called the police to find a way to contact the family. But, unfortunately, it has not been found yet.”
Erik didn’t even send his meal to his mother first. Instead, he went to the emergency room to confirm his guess.
In the emergency room, several doctors passed by. Erik finally caught a nurse who walked a little slower and stopped the nurse and eagerly said, “Excuse me, what is the name of the girl in the emergency room? Have you seen her ID?”
Lavinia had to help her mother go through a lot of formalities at any time. Her certificate and her mother’s certificate are always put together. The doctor couldn’t contact anyone. They should at least see her ID card.
“Lavinia, I don’t know the rest yet. But, if you know the clues, you can contact the police. We have already reported the police for the record.”
After saying that, the nurse left quickly.
Erik was still standing there, unable to return to absolute being for a long time.
The girl was Lavinia, his sister!
Erik couldn’t even take care of the lunch box in his hand. Erik quickly found the nurse on duty, explained his purpose, and registered. The nurse told him that Lavinia’s situation was not good, and there were signs of miscarriage. However, it was still a question of whether the child could be saved. When the doctor checked the patient out, they would contact Erik and let him continue to wait.
Looking at the lights in the emergency room still on, he went to the ward to send the meal to mum. He told mum that he still had something to do and quickly left the neighborhood.
Erik did decide to tell his mum that Lavinia had an accident, but he gave up in the end for fear that this news would worsen her health.
Mother thought it was Erik’s work, and she didn’t ask much. But, seeing that he looked anxious, she let Erik go first.
Lavinia was pushed out of the operating room pale, and it was already two hours later.
The doctor’s face was tired but glad.
“Doctor, I am her family. How is she now?”
Erik grabbed the doctor and asked anxiously.
“Ectopic pregnancy. But fortunately, there is no massive bleeding. She needs to take a rest. So keep it quiet if you want to see her. Moreover, even if she is ectopic pregnancy, she still needs to make up her body and the nutrition.”
After the entrustment, the doctor went on busy again.
Erik’s mind was buzzing, like countless bees tossing in it. The doctor told him that his sister was pregnant. He didn’t even know who Lavinia was falling in love with.
Even when other people in the company blamed him, he was not so angry. When Erik thought he didn’t know which man-made his sister suffered so much, Erik was so mad that he couldn’t wait to kill the man who made Lavinia suffer from this pain.
But Erik couldn’t do anything. Even if he wanted to avenge his sister, he had no idea who the man was.
Erik took out his newly paid salary and went to the hospital for his sister. He couldn’t stew soup for the time being, so he went to the restaurant to buy some and put them aside to keep warm. When his sister woke up, she could eat them immediately.
The first person Lavinia woke up to see was Erik.
Although her eyes were a little blurred after sleeping for a long time, she didn’t miss the moist corner of Erik’s eyes.
“Erik, why are you here? Why am I in the hospital bed? Do I have a fever again?”
Lavinia raised her hand weakly and put it on her forehead. It was still hot.
