Chapter Thirty-Two – Bullies.
Breathing the air around the university, Arya felt like dancing around. There had been a holiday after the summit and she never knew she’d miss the place.
“Winx!” she waved at her best friend as she sighted her chatting with some girls. Winx crawled away from the girls looking guilty. “Hey, Bestie!”
Arya frowned. “Bestie? You were making new friends and wanna leave me in this world, right?”
Winx chuckled, hitting her arm. “They were talking about Kpop. You know that’s my whole life.”
Arya sighed, rubbing her head. “That’s really your whole life.”
They were some cheering as they entered into their lecture hall. Students were circling a lecturer and cheering him.
“What’s up?” Winx held a girl passing, to ask.
“Oh, our lecturer just got accepted as local government chairman of this district. Thanks to Seth and his father actually.” The girl blushed then walked away.
Arya rolled her eyes, looking at the lecturer. That was her least favorite lecturer so she hoped he’d leave the university soon. “Yes, Damien wants to talk to the governor.”
Winx turned to her. “Your husband? He should then. And if he contests for governorship any day, I’d totally vote him.”
Arya grinned. “It’s not about election. He didn’t tell me what it’s about but I bet it’s company work. I need to arrange a meeting with them.”
“He can just visit on a working day, you don’t need to…. Unless you want to tell Seth about your marriage which will be quite awkward.” Her best friend shivered.
Arya agreed, but she had also agreed with Damien to arrange it with Seth. Maybe he didn’t want to waste time getting acquainted. Of he was too busy to visit.
“I am his wife, it’s the least I can do.” Arya said.
Winx stared at her. Hadn’t she been saying she wasn’t his wife and it was all a contract few days ago? She smiled inwardly, it was good that she’s finally owning everything.
“By the way, your dress is gorge!” she nudged Arya.
Arya’s eyes lit up and she spun around. “I know right. I actually have one for you but I forgot it at home…”
“Should I come over to collect it!” Winx asked, wanting to visit and be hosted at the Wade Mansion and also get a pretty dress.
But Arya didn’t know if that could happen yet, she was still new to the home to bring friends over. “I don’t know, my sister in-law is quite rigid.”
Winx shoulder’s dropped but she nodded understandably. “Then don’t forget my dress tomorrow!”
Arya smiled, bowing. “Yes, ma’am.”
They went out of the class towards the cafeteria. Arya held unto Winx tightly as she went past some older students who sometimes bullied her.
One of them came in front of her. “You, Arya, right? Where did you pick this dress from?”
Arya, looking down at her dress, fumbled with her words. “I… got… someone got… my husband… someone got it for me.”
The girls looked at each other and began laughing. Winx pushed Arya behind her and joined the girls in laughter. They stopped, staring at her.
“What?” Winx stopped as well. “I thought we’re laughing at your realization that you can’t get yourself that dress.”
A girl came forward to hit Winx but her friends held her back. “What makes you think we can’t buy it? How much is it?”
“$5000 per one!” Someone yelled behind Winx and Arya.
It was Edna, she strolled towards the girls. “It’s a limited edition by that upcoming rave designer. I think the dress doesn’t worth it but well, it’s pretty.”
Arya frowned a bit but kept her cool.
The girls stared at Arya ridiculously before turning away. Their last words “don’t spend your whole fortune trying to look like us” made Winx gag.
Before she could turn around, Edna was gone. “See, Edna doesn’t hate you.” Winx told Arya, who shrugged.
“But I do. And she only defended me because of you, you’re her relative. I really don’t want her butting in matters that concerned me.”
Winx gazed at Arya humorously, then shook her head. “As I said, you like her boyfriend, so put up with her.” She dragged her inside the cafeteria.

A taxi dropped at a parking lot and a young lady stepped out, wearing a high waist skirt, turtle necked top and a wedge heel. She was Anna Stark.
Anna took out her phone from her bag and dialed the last number. “Bro, you better be buying me the world for bringing me out here, dressed like we are in winter!”
She was speaking to her boyfriend, James, who laughed. “C’mon babe! Keep coming. I said I have a surprise for you!”
Anna forced a smile, exhaling, and adjusting her turtle neck. “Okay, I’m coming.”
The line grew static and cut. Anna looked at her phone but shrugged it off. Everything had been a surprise.
First her boyfriend who was in military calling and asking to meet her without answering her questions.
Now, under the near summer weather, he was making her wear big clothes for a surprise he had for her.
It kept her on edge.
As she walked into empty building, she couldn’t help but notice how dark and eerie it was. “Perhaps the surprise is coming. Can’t wait.” She muttered.
She walked deeper, through the hall way. The design felt weird but she kept coming, she opened another room that was chilly.
She held unto herself tightly and brought her phone out. What kind of haunted building was she walking into? “Hey, James, I’m here and this place gives me the creeps.”
He laughed again. “C’mon babe! Keep coming. I said I have a surprise for you!”
The line went off again. Anna looked at the place, keep coming where?
And wasn’t that the exact thing he said to her earlier with the exact same voice tone?
She closed the door, loudly and advanced to the other doors. If she checked all and there was no sign of her boyfriend, then she’d head back home.
There was a sign, on a portacabin, that said to go in for the surprise. Now that part didn’t sound right to Anna. She was about leaving when there was a knock inside.
She halted, smirking. So he was in there?
She opened the door of the portacabin and noticed a place covered by a white curtain with a little table and dinner on it.
“Did you prepare breakfast in here?” she blushed, walking in.
The door behind her closed shut, startling her. Then down she saw a small mechanical toy that had knocked on the door.
“What the hell?” she ran to the curtain, swiping it to see an empty chair and her boyfriend absent.
“What is this?” she asked out loud.
Just then, she felt the portacabin moving, she fell back and watched the table slid down at her with the food it had.
“Wait, help!” she screamed before she blacked out as the table knocked her out. She was drifted away.
