Chapter 13
Her mom expressions were something else. “Oh my God, Linda!” She exclaimed in shock. The devil behind her leapt his head forward to have a proper look at me. His facial expressions was, “who is this?” But her mom knows what he was going to say, she ran over to her side and hugged her tightly behind her. “Linda, how come you are hereby?”
Silence engraved in the rooms, the sudden bursts from her tears and wailing sent an alarming message to her mother. “Mom, I don’t want to go home.” Her cries make her mom’s eyes to popped out.
She looked onward from her to her stepfather. “Honey, did he do anything bad to you?” Her mother voice resonated in her ears, making her heart to clenched in guilt.
“I was the one at fault, but he overreacts.”
That was it, that was how she escaped Las Vegas for New York, her stepfather takes it as his duty to change her surname. He never forced her to change it, she just wished to be demarcated from her father’s name. Her father is evil. But one thing she never understands is why her mother had left her father. When she was growing up with them, she learns her mother was in love with McArthur, which was her stepfather before she met her biological father. She was called upon to make allegiance to the McArthur family, that she will never betray them over to her father.
She happily took the bloodbath, she was part of the McArthur’s family now, not Gregory’s anymore. But sadly, she realized that no matter how her father had treated her in the past, he was doing it for her good.
Her father was arrested, convicted and charged to court for all his crime. He was sentenced to 45 years improvement, she feels so sad for Damien. She needs to reach out to him. Her mother had given in to her suggestions, but never to talk about her or her current family with Damien.
Presently, they are meeting behind the closed doors to discuss on how to get their father out of jail. His voice brings her to the present.
“New York suits you.” She giggled at his words.
“Last time you speak with Dad?” Her voice trying to sound firm. She didn’t want him to knows that she truly care about their father.
“He’s doing fine. There was a murder attempt against him in the prison.” His voice sent shivers through her system, her vibrant eyeballs lurking around for confirmation that he wasn’t joking.
“I’m serious, the faster we get him out of there, the better for him.” Linda blinked her eyes, a light sigh eluded her lip.
“I’ll see to that.” Was the only response that get out of her mouth.
“When are you going to see father? Is mom still alive?” She looked at his brother, whose face was filled with worries.
“Be brave.” She said this and pushed the door opened.
Damien stared at her from within the car until she gets inside her car. His car was the first to leave the vicinity.
Linda never moved for almost thirty minutes, she was looking through the rear mirror at the car which was parked at the other end. She knows, Damien wants to know more about her vicinity, her residence, but now is clearly not the time.
She hummed and pressed her grips firmly around the steering wheel, without dulling, she drove out in speed, not taking the route she had followed into the subway earlier on.
Damien knows that get sister, Linda, looks innocent and calm from the outside like a senseless girl. But all those where camouflage, his primary assignment was to find the man whom his mother had eloped with, so he could have him killed. His father will only spare their mother, if he should kill the man. He needs to know about the man, but Linda wasn’t ready to spilled anything. He didn’t want to arouse any suspicious act of his further plans to Linda, so he was playing along with her like her once little brother.
He planted four cars which was two into the entrance she will drive in to the subway and two on the exit way. Whichever of the car was successful, he wants her location known.
Linda stopped to drive, as she pulled off her jacket. He must’ve planted a GPS tracker on her. Luckily, there was none, but she wasn’t convinced as she threw the jacket out of the window. She suddenly pressed hard against the brake pads, rolling her eyes in furious. She took off her wigs and throw it out.

“She can’t be smart all the time.” Damien cooed as his thumbs gently pressed against the window edge. He had planted a GPS on her hair, as long as the hair is on the head, and she never Combs it, that would pave the way to her location.
Having drive to the supermarket, Linda gets off as usual and enter into her main car. By the time she gets home, her brothers were already dosing on the couch. “Stupid boy,” She cursed under her breath. Taking caution in her footsteps so as not to wake them.
She clearly knows that, in as much as her brother is around, sheep will never get out of the bedroom. Her brother loves teasing him, and she just can’t stop that because she thinks that; her brother was only trying to be friendly with her husband.
Even when everyone was against her marriage with Eliot, her brother had support her and tells her he believes in her. She hates it, when guys control her. She just wants to be the dominant wife, the one whom the husband would never look in the face, she wants a pet as a husband. She has always read from a story on how man turns girls or their wife into pet, so she’s trying to actualize that.
“Sheep!” She barked when she saw his boxer lying carelessly on the tiled floor.
