Mother’s grave

Mary replied angrily, “Because they always kept me as an outsider and just used me, they tried to take away what should be mine.”
“Your Dad wanted to divorce me.”
“Why would Dad want to divorce you, and even if he did, you should be happy about it, any way you didn’t love him then what’s the problem in having a divorce,” Alex said anxiously.
Mary replied proudly, “I had an affair with Mak, and why should I give up on inheritance of both Davis and William, that day he left the house saying he is going to the office but unfortunate for him, he forgot a file at home and came back to take it.”
“He saw Mak and me in our bedroom; he just said that he is going to divorce me. If he divorced me, I would only get only twenty percent of the property as alimony, which is not something I deserve to spoil my life, to become your nanny,” Mary retorted.
Alex frowned, he somehow missed Mary’s last line and asked, “Even if he divorced you, I am the only son you have, whatever I earn and even this treasure everything will be yours also, I can give you all the luxuries of…..”
Alex was cut off by Mary; Mary said sharply, “You are not my son.”
Everyone present in the cave was shocked to hell, and Alex’s face turned pale.
Mary continued, “Your mother died while giving birth to you.”
Mark, sitting next to Mary, smiled viciously, and said, “She got it, for rejecting me.”
Alex was not able to come over one shock that Mary was not his mother; Mak’s words blew away his mind.
Alice walked towards Mak and Mary; she kicked in Mak’s stomach and asked loudly, grinding her teeth, “What do you mean?”
Mak said smiling evilly as if he was still satisfied with what he did in the past, “When I saw her for the first time I fell in love with her and proposed to her for marriage, but she rejected me saying that she will not marry a druggist.”
“After that coincidently, her mother arranged her marriage with my elder brother; I could not forget her. I tried to move on, but I was stuck on her. She was the only woman I loved in my life, but she rejected me.”
“I took a vow that I would never marry in this life, but seeing her having a happy life with my brother was killing me every day, so I started giving her slow poison, and she started being sick all the time, and while giving birth to Alex, she was not able to hold it and died.”
“I was very satisfied that day, because if she cannot be mine, then she will be no one, Alex’s father never wanted to marry again, but Alex’s maternal grandmother forced him to marry Mary for Alex’s sake.”
“Mary was the adopted daughter of Davis’s after Mary married my brother, he told her clearly that he married her only for Alex.”
He only loved his wife, and there cannot be other women in his life, he doesn’t want Alex to know about his mother’s death.”
“Mary was all alone, Alex’s father never touched her, he gave her everything, he never stopped her doing anything, he even knew that Mary was sleeping around with different men.”
but he never said anything to her, but when he saw us together, he was a little satisfied and said that, “he would divorce her and let her marry me.”
“We didn’t want this, so we planned his accident before he divorced Mary when Alex was in Alaska.”
After saying all these, Mak smiled in mockery, looking at Alex and said, “Believe me, Alex, your Mom was gorgeous, her name was Lily, and she was so…”
Before he could complete, Alice punched him in his face. Alice ran to Alex to support him.
Alex was feeling completely lost at this moment. He felt like he lost his soul; he was so unlucky that he didn’t even know who his mother was.
Alex felt this broken second time in his life, the first time when he lost Alice for the misunderstanding created by Selena, and now, the pain is unbearable.
He was dying, thinking that he didn’t even know how his Mom looked.
Alice hugged him tightly after some times she held his face in her small palms, and said, “Tony, do you think your Mom will like to see you like this, you are wasting the sacrifices your Dad did for you, you can’t be so weak”
Alex looked at Alice and hugged her tightly; his eyes were teary. Holding Alice in his arms, he felt a little better and also got some courage.
Once Alex was a little better, Alice turned and asked Mary, “why did you create the drama of your death?”
Mak replied instead of Mary, “Because it was getting tough to do the things under Alex’s nose.”
“We were scared that Alex might doubt us.”
Alex asked Mary, “Where is my mother’s grave?” He was eager to see his Mom’s grave and at least he can pay respect to her.
Mary liked to see Alex broken; she felt relieved she said in a sly tone, “I don’t know.”
Alex growled, “If you cannot answer my question, I can go back on my promise and kill you both right at this moment.”
Mary sneered, and said, “I really don’t know, because your grandmother and father never shared that information to anyone, but maybe you can find it in your Dad’s diary. He used to write a diary; I am not so sure, maybe that dairy is red.”
She continued, “I told you everything, now can you let us go.”
When Alex heard this, he immediately gained his senses, feeling lost sometimes back, but at this moment, he was very clear.
