The discussion was going on when Joy entered the meeting room without even knocking the door and said, “President, you must look at it.”
Alex immediately dismissed the meeting and came to his office. After entering the office, Joy immediately reported, “President, we have been spying on Dylan for the last one month, but he didn’t go out of his office, nor had he met anyone whom we can suspect.”
“But we have seen him actively talking to one contact number on audio and video call.”
Alex was impatient and asked, “who does that number belong to?”
Joy replied, “his name is Mandy Scott.”
Alex had a sharp memory, and he remembered immediately. He met him at the party with Alice.
He immediately asked Joy, “why do you doubt this; they can be friends.”
Joy replied, “You are right, President, but as we know, Mr. Mandy Scott was about to take over his family business a month back it seems he is hiding, so we suspect that it is weird.”
Joy’s words were indicating that Alice might be with Mandy Scott.
He was furious at the thought of the possibility that Alice was staying with Mandy Scott.
Alex looked at Joy and asked, “where’s his location?”
Joy replied, “he is England.”
Alex ordered “we are flying to England, right now” saying that he walked out of the office and headed to the airport.
Joy had made all the arrangements by the time they reached the airport.
Alex was happy at one end, thinking he might see his Alice in a few hours but was very jealous of the other side.
He can’t even imagine Mandy holding Alice’s hand; he will kill him on the spot.
He was thinking about Alice’s reaction when she will see him; she would definitely be very angry, she might have denied talking to him or seeing him, but he was sure he would not give up neither today nor in the future.
He will tell her; he never cheated her. Someone framed them.
He will assure her that the people who did all this will pay for what they have done.
It was almost an eight hours’ journey from NY to England, but Alex felt like it was eighty hours.
He felt like he had some superpowers that just ported him to Alice’s place, so he would not have to wait for so long. This wait was killing him.
He didn’t sleep or eat anything during the flight. Joy saw him getting this impatient from the time Alice has been part of his life.
Otherwise, he was always calm, collected, and cold all the time no matter what the situation was.
After a long wait, his flight landed on the lands of England, Alex boarded the flight and entered his Bentley, which was already waiting for him surrounded by his bodyguards.
Alex was anxious about how he will face Alice, how he will control himself if Alice is with Mandy now, and they are couples. His heart was not ready to accept that Alice would allow anyone else in her heart apart from him.
‘She has waited for him for such a long period; she won’t give up on him’. Alex was praying internally, trying to console himself.
After one and a half hours’ drive, they reached the location where Mandy was hiding.
It was a huge villa, Alex’s men surrounded the villa, and Joy rang the bell while Alex was waiting with his hands in his pants pocket.
An old woman opened the door; Alex asked arrogantly, “where is Mandy? Call him right away,” saying this; he entered the living room, followed by Joy and his bodyguards.
Before the elderly lady could reply anything, Mandy came out of his study with some books in his hands; he was startled to see Alex standing in front of him.
Alex took long strides towards Mandy, pinned him to the wall, grabbed his neck, and asked ferociously, “Where is my wife?”
Mandy tried to struggle hard to breathe, seeing that Mandy’s face color was changing to blue. Joy ran and said: “President, please calm down, leave him, he is the only clue we have.”
Alex immediately came back to his senses and pulled his hands back, and Mandy fell on the ground coughing hard.
After some time, Mandy stabilized his breath and said, “I would have never let you see her, but on the other side I want you to see her, see what you have done to her, follow me” saying this Mandy started walking in the direction of the stairs.
Alex frowned at his words, but he didn’t have any other option apart from following Mandy.
His hands were getting cold because of fidgety; soon, they were standing in front of a room’s door.
Alex thought that he was only a door away from his Alice; he would hug her tight and never let her go out of his eyesight.
Mandy slowly opened the door and entered, followed by Alex.
After entering the room, Alex was numb at sight in front of him.
Alice was lying on the bed, and there were many machines attached to her body, and the room was filled with different types of medical devices.
He ran to the bed, it looked like she was sleeping, she lost a lot of weight, she looked pale, and her lips were dry.
He called her with teary eyes. “Alice, baby, please wake up, see I am here; please forgive me for once,” he choked, seeing no response from her.
Mandy had always heard that Alexander Williams was a man with a stone heart, but the sight in front of him told him the importance of Alice in Alex’s life.
He was very angry at Alex after getting to know about Alice’s sufferings, but seeing Alex crying softened his heart.
He put his hands on Alex’s shoulder and said, “she will not wake up; she is in a coma from last month.”
Alex’s hands froze, he felt like his body turned into an iceberg, he turned to Mandy with tears in his eyes and asked frowning “wht.. how.. wh…???” no word came out of his mouth.
