Alex noticed the uneasiness on her face while telling all this, so he tried to distract her mind and said “baby why you felt like if you are virgin then only I will marry you”
And as Alex thought her mind immediately diverted to this topic and she said “because we use to discuss that how special our first time will be, so I wanted to protect myself only for you in this life”
Alex again asked “what if we never met again, you would have died single”
Alice replied “yes, because I loved you from the bottom of my heart and I would have spent my life with the memories of the time which we spent together”
Alex was so much touched with her reply, he also felt guilty for being a playboy where she was waiting for him, so he promised himself to devote his life to Alice
Alice was tired because of the rough exercise from yesterday night so she dozed off in Alex’s arms.
Soon butler Simon informed him that Joy is here, he gently kept Alice’s head on the pillow, kissed her forehead, and went out.
He asked butler Simon to bring Joy to his study.
After Joy entered in the study Alex asked him for further updates and Joy started reporting hi “President, as per the investigation done till now we found that the people who are behind Mam, they are looking for some kind of key”
“And they believe that you have given that key to Mam”
“President, we have found out that these people have formed a gang exactly the same year when your parents died and all the tragedy happened to Mam”
Alex: “What about Dylan’s report”
Joy: “He had sent it, as per his report Mam’s Dad was a very noble and humble person and he didn’t have any enemy all, people loved him as mayor so there are no chances of him having enemy, these started after you left Alaska”
“We are sure that they are behind a key, they use to torture Mam for that key but she never told them either she was protecting the key or maybe she herself was not aware of it”
“President …. one…. more thing …” Joy was hesitating to continue. Alex looked at him and said, “what is it?”
Joy: “President, we found out some clues which indicate that there are high chances that you grandma was murdered”
Alex’s eyes darkened and he asked “what do you mean?”
Joy: “We have found that after the death of your grandmother her butler went missing with his family overnight, he was not present in her funeral also, people say that he knows something but he is trying hiding himself along with his family”
“Till now we are not sure whether he is part of all these or he is trying to protect himself but as much as we have enquired he was the most loyal man of Davis family”
Alex nodded and waved Joy to leave. He lit a cigarette and started smoking thinking ‘it means the couple pendant which I gave to Alice is not ordinary, because it was only the gift I have given to her,
‘As much as I remember that was given to me by my grandma and she had told me to give it to the girl I will marry’

After thinking all these Alex also had many questions in his mind ‘did my grandma know about the key? Did she give it to me on purpose? Did she know that there is some kind of key in the couple pendant?’
He felt headache thinking all this, he picked his phone from the table and dialed Dylan’s number and said after the call connected “My home, 3 pm” and hung up the call without even listening to Dylan’s reply.
On the other side, Dylan was thinking of holding the phone in his hands “who will believe, that I am Mafia, I feel like he should be the actual Mafia boss”
Alex came back to the bedroom and saw Alice still sleeping peacefully. He smiled seeing her small cute face.
At this moment he thought if he can have a daughter like Alice, he felt so happy at this thought that he forgot all his worries.
Having a baby with Alice was like adding more and more happiness to his world, they will be his family, his wife, his daughter. He was suddenly in a good mood.
He asked Simon to prepare their lunch in their bedroom only. After that he snuggled into the bed and pulled Alice in his arms and slowly caressed her soft cheeks and said slowly “baby, it’s time to get up, let’s have lunch together”
