Just as I promised to Claude, we didn’t go to the farewell party and spent our moments together with each other’s presence. But we uttered the words that our people needed to hear before we left.
We spent going to the town square by dressing in disguise as commoners to make more memories and did the fun I always do whenever I had my day off.
However, days had passed by, I already didn’t notice that I was about to set forward for the war. If Claude did not remind me, I wouldn’t have stayed in his arms.
While the servants were helping me dress up for my combat armour suit, Claude was here in my chamber watching the whole process with his stoic expression.
“Love, calm down,” I said while looking at him in the mirror.
Claude snapped back and blinked. “W-What?”
I playfully rolled my eyes. “You are thinking something naughty.” I arched my eyebrow when he grinned.
He cleared his throat. “I felt like I could beg you to step on me, Luna Queen Rachelle. Can I do that?” he asked, sounding hopeful.
I glanced at the servants who suddenly looked flustered at Claude’s words. I laughed and dismissed them to leave us for a moment. I need to indulge this man so that he will remember it when he needs to think of me.
I sat on the chair and crossed my arms over my chest. “Kneel before your Luna Queen, you lowly creature,” I commanded.
Claude bit his lower lip, seeing his eyes sparkled with desire and excitement. “Yes, Your Majesty,” he said, breathless. Then he knelt on the floor and looked at me like a good puppy.
I raised my foot and pressed it to his chest, looking down at him like he was just a speck of dust. “Are you pleased by this? Being stepped on by me, Claudian?” I asked earnestly, arching my eyebrow.
His chest rose up and down as he nodded. He hissed in pain when I pressed the heel but his face looked delighted when he nodded. “Yes… Your Majesty. I am pleased…”
I cleared my throat, and suddenly felt overwhelmed about dominating my husband. This was still new to me when he suddenly asked me before that he wanted me to do this to him before I left. I wasn’t used to it as I liked submitting to Claude.
“What should you do next? Are you going to stare at me and not do anything to please me, huh?” I asked, raising my tone as I pressed the heel to his face.
I suddenly felt bad but I heard his heavy breath, meaning that he was enjoying this. When I removed my foot from his face, Claude was already smiling as he took my foot with his hands. Then he lowered his face to leave a sensual kiss on my shoe.
I held my breath as I sighed slowly, feeling aroused from seeing him kissing my shoe up to my lower leg that was covered with armor. I felt worshipped by this man who happened to be my mate. It was such a good feeling that Claude was being like this to me.
“What must I do next, Your Majesty?” Claude asked dreamily as he carefully placed down my foot to the floor.
I leaned forward and tightly held his jaw. “Your Luna Queen is going to war. I want you to behave yourself until I come back. Do not misbehave while I am away. Do you understand me?” I asked coldly.
Claude nodded. “Yes, Your Majesty. Your wish is my command,” he said softly.
I stretched my lips into a condescending smile. “Good boy,” I uttered and caressed his head.
With my words and actions, Claude melted. He and his wolf purred under my touch as he bit his lower lip, looking pleased and aroused.
I sighed and smiled. “Have I satisfied your fetish, my love?” I asked, grinning as I caressed his jaw because I held it so tightly that it left a mark on my hand there. “I did my best according to what you wanted.”
“Very. I’d been imagining you looking down and ordering me around like this,” he said as I helped him to stand up and he instantly embraced me. “Now, I want to take you right here, right now,” he whispered to my ear.
“I wouldn’t mind,” I whispered back, smiling from ear to ear.
Claude growled as his hug tightened. “You’re really such a tease, Rachelle. You will be the death of me.”
I started playing my fingers to his chest. “We still have time before I depart, Your Majesty. Might as well take it as an opportunity because we wouldn’t be having each other for months,” I suggested, wanting him to fall for my seduction.
His chest vibrated, growling once more. He distanced himself as his eyes glowed. “Don’t mind if I will accept your invitation.” He lowered his head to slam his lips to mine.
Since we still had two hours before I departed, Claude and I spent our erotic moment for an hour as he undressed my combat armor suit. With that, it took a long moment before the servants reattached them again.
I was flushing in embarrassment because we took our moment there but Claude didn’t mind it as he was still grinning when we went out holding each other’s hands as soon as I finished dressing up.
“They wouldn’t mind if the General is late who happened to be the Luna Queen of the Waevalon Kingdom, love,” Claude reassured me. “I am certain that they would understand that the Alpha King wants to have her before she departs. You know, his purpose is to fulfill his husband’s duties.” He wiggled his eyebrows, grinning.
I playfully rolled my eyes. “You are being hilarious again,” I said as I felt my cheeks in heat right now as soon as we arrived at the entrance of the underground tunnel of the royal palace. The exit to this place was behind the Wesrial Mountain where the Downcast Woods was located.
I held my breath as soon as I came to spot more than a hundred thousand troops lining up as the soldiers were holding torches. I suddenly felt overwhelmed and excited at the same time seeing them from above.
“Claude… Pinch me. I think I am dreaming…” I tugged his hand as my eyes were transfixed to my brigade.
He chuckled. I blinked and looked at him when he kissed my temple. “You are not dreaming, Rachelle. This is the brigade you have been dreaming of. And now, I will make it a reality just as I promised.”
I felt like I got teary-eyed as I nodded and hugged my husband. “Thank you… I cannot thank you enough.”
He hugged me back. “Just be safe and keep me updated by sending letters through messenger hawks. And win the war, my love. I will wait for you in the palace…” His voice croaked, sniffing.
I felt him longing for my presence already. I sighed and cupped his face before I bestowed him a passionate kiss on his lips. “I will finish this war once and for all, love. I will come back to you alive and breathing.”
“I love you, Rachelle,” he said softly, which made my heart go wild.
I bit my lower lip and nodded as I got teary-eyed. “I love you, too, Claude.”
We looked into each other’s eyes before we got down to approach my stallion horse named Alexander. He was the royal lycan family’s stallion horse trained to set on war just like this event that’s happening right now. He was named after the surname of the royal lycan family of the Waevalon Kingdom.
I caressed his snout. Alexander leaned to my touch, symbolizing that he was acknowledging me as his master along with Claude. This was Claude’s favorite horse, too.
I glanced at Claude when he opened his palm. I smiled and accepted it. But before I could mount on Alexander’s back, there was a soldier who came forth to grab our attention.
“Your Majesties, I have to report something,” he said after he bowed his head before us.
Claude was the one who spoke. “Tell us,” he ordered.
“We held captive the fifteen soldiers that looked suspicious after they tried to harm a hundred warhorses.”
Claude and I exchanged glances, understanding that they really fell from our trap.
“Take us to them,” I ordered coldly.
He nodded. We followed him as he brought us to the man-made prison cell. Their hands were being tied up with handcuffs coated with wolfsbane as their eyes were covered with blindfolds. They were all hissing in pain as tears were bathing their cheeks.
“Remove their blindfolds,” Claude ordered.
I didn’t move an inch as they took off the blindfold of those fifteen soldiers. As soon as their eyes adjusted, their eyes widened as they gasped when they saw us.
I stepped forward as I crouched so I could see them better. I fisted the hair of one of the traitors. “Trying to clutter my brigade, aren’t we?” I said coldly. “All of you wish to die, huh?”
I heard Claude unsheathing his sword from his scabbard when one of them attempted to stand up to attack me. Claude pierced the blade to that person’s chest, near to his heart so the wolfsbane poison would disperse immediately and would kill him in an instant.
He crouched as well as his lips curled up into a frightening smile. “I really hate when someone attempts to hurt my Luna Queen. She badly wants to lead her brigade yet you are becoming a hindrance to her dream?” He laced his tone with a cold one. Enough that he could exert his Alpha aura that would make everyone unable to defy him no matter if they were also an Alpha from a certain pack.
I giggled darkly as I glanced at the man I was fisting his hair with. “It seems Magnius Lothim already dispatched a few elites to sabotage our plans. It could mean that he already knew that I am departing tonight,” I said, feeling not bothered by it.
“He will kill you!” he said.
“It will be the end of the reigning kingdom!”
“He has been waiting for you. He had been wanting to see you as well.”
I stood up and smiled. “I cannot wait to have his head and display it in front of the gates of the palace. Have no fear as we already expected that there is a certain event that will happen before I depart the palace,” I said as Claude stood up and handed out his sword.
“Do not waste your sword on these filthy rogues, love. You can use mine.” He winked.
I chuckled as I took the sword from him. “Thank you, love.” I winked back before I faced them. “This shall be the lesson for all of you not to underestimate the Alpha King and Luna Queen of the Waevalon Kingdom. Since you have come forth to court death, I shall bestow it to all of you,” I said coldly as I raised my hand, not wanting to ask them anymore.
I pierced the blade of the sword to their skulls and their chest. Then next I beheaded them. I had the drive to do this because of the deceased soldiers who died from their hands when I was a battle commander and a lot of soldiers under mine were killed.
“I shall show no mercy to all of you,” I said, stone-faced as soon as I was certain that they were beheaded properly.
I would avenge their honorable deaths. I promised that.
I looked at the other soldiers who looked unfazed at my actions but they surely had a look of admiration from what I did. I blinked when I felt a wet cloth wiping my cheek only to find out that it was Claude.
“How cold you must be for treating them like this, Your Majesty,” Claude said with a grin.
I took the cloth when another soldier bestowed it to me. I wiped the blood coated in his sword after he wiped the blood stained on my face.
I chuckled and returned the sword to his scabbard. “Says the one who is also cold to everyone.” I rolled my eyes and pinched his cheek. “Refrain from acting like that, Claude. You will scare them.”
He took my hand and kissed my wrist. “I will try my best not to be like that,” he said huskily.
We returned to where Alexander was as we talked about what happened earlier. “I already dispatched a few soldiers and one of your Generals to secure the place where you are camping once you arrive at the Auritaurie, Rachelle. Be careful, alright?” Claude sighed as soon as he helped me mount at Alexander’s back.
I nodded. “Yes. Thank you for doing that, Claude. And I will be careful and bring victory to peace.” I laid out my hand.
Claude accepted it and planted a kiss on the back of my hand. “I will miss you,” he said softly.
I smiled and nodded. “I will miss you, too.”
The moment I said that Claude stepped back to go to the balcony. I nodded my head at him before I made Alexander turn around to face my soldiers who were part of my brigade.
“For Alpha King Claudian and Luna Queen Rachelle! For the Waevalon Kingdom!” I said loudly as I unsheathed my sword from my scabbard and raised it to the air.
“Hail, His Majesty, Alpha King Claudian! Hail, Luna Queen Rachelle!”
“For the Waevalon Kingdom!”
They all shouted in unison as I smiled in satisfaction. I glanced at Claude for the last time as I saw him nodding in a solemn state. I nodded back before I kicked the side stomach of Alexander.
“Giddyap, Alexander! Giddyap!” I said, ordering Alexander to run faster than ever.
As soon as Alexander started to run, I heard Claude’s mindlink to me.
‘Hail, Luna Queen Rachelle Simon! Come back to me as soon as the war is over!’
I smiled and bit my lower lip. ‘I will, my love. I will come back to you. I promise you that,’ I answered back.
