Chapter 57 You Ungrateful Girl

Book:Ex-wife, Long Time No See Published:2024-6-2

Bai Jingyan laughed angrily. “You ungrateful girl!”
Shen Qieyi was also amused. The roles of the two of them were completely reversed.
The man was at the front, buying non stop, while the girl was following behind him, responsible for carrying the shopping bags. It was very funny.
Bai Jingyan saw that she was happy, and he was happy too.
The dishes were finally served one after another. Shen Qieyi ignored him and buried herself in the food.
After eating for more than an hour, she began to feel sleepy.
After eating and drinking, Bai Jingyan began to plan the evening activities.
Hearing his whisper, she quickly stopped him. “All right, sir. I want to go home for a nap.”
Bai Jingyan glared at her. “No, you can’t sleep!”
Shen Qieyi couldn’t help but yawn. “I always get sleepy at a fixed time. It’s very uncomfortable.”
Seeing this, Bai Jingyan didn’t make things difficult for her. He got up first and said, “Let’s go. You’re so annoying.  What a bummer!”
Then, he bent down and picked up the shopping bags. His two big hands were full, so Shen Qieyi wanted to help.
But he stopped her. “Don’t take the opportunity to touch me. Hurry up and go ahead. I have to keep an eye on you. Don’t get lost.”
She smiled and walked in front of him, looking relaxed.
On the way, Shen Qieyi was sleepy, with her head bumping against the window.
Bai Jingyan glanced at her from time to time with a look of disgust.
But he patiently held her head and turned it around, muttering, “You’re already such a fool. You’re going to be worse if you keep knocking your head.”
The car stopped steadily in front of the Fu family’s courtyard. Bai Jingyan was not in a hurry to wake her up.
Shen Qieyi didn’t sleep well. She wrinkled her small nose and slowly woke up.
When she opened her eyes in a daze and saw the familiar front door, she realized that she had arrived.
She turned to look at Bai Jingyan, who was playing with his mobile phone in boredom.
After she sleep, her throat was dry and hoarse. Feeling uncomfortable, she pinched her throat and said, “Why didn’t you wake me up when we arrived?”
Only then did Bai Jingyan realize that she had woken up. He said faintly, “Look at you, you’re sleeping like a dead pig. I didn’t wake you up because you looked ridiculous.”
Shen Qieyi seemed to have completely gotten used to his insulting words and could not be bothered.
She opened the door and got out.
Bai Jingyan immediately opened the car door and shouted at her from the other end, “Hey, there are so many things. I’ll help you.”
Shen Qieyi sneered. “Why didn’t you offer to help at the mall?”
Bai Jingyan touched his nose and smiled. “I was too excited and forgot that you were a girl.”
Shen Qieyi was so irritated and rolled her eyes at him.
Bai Jingyan didn’t care about her reply. He took the things in her hand and went into the house.
Before he could press the bell, the door was opened from inside.
When Bai Jingyan saw who it was, his smile instantly disappeared. “Why are you here?”
Fu Yao also frowned as he sized him up. He saw that Bai Jingyan was dressed in casually, with many shopping bags hanging from his hands.
His eyes went past Bai Jingyan and looked back. At this moment, Shen Qieyi lowered her head slightly and went up the stairs.
Fu Yao was furious.
A few hours ago, he woke up at the bar. Before he could wake Zhong Han and say goodbye, he had already rushed home.
As soon as he stepped into the house, he felt desolate and cold.
Fu Yao had no time to think about it. He went straight to her bedroom on the second floor and found that her things were still there. Only then did he feel a little relieved.
He didn’t want to ask the servants about her whereabouts, so he just waited quietly.
Fu Yao was sitting on the sofa watching TV while keeping an eye on the door.
As time went by, he was the only one at the lunch table, and the food was tasteless to him.
Zhangma stood in the kitchen, tugged at the hem of her apron, and shook her head.
After the whole afternoon, Fu Yao’s patience had been worn out.
Just as he was about to go upstairs and give up waiting, there was some movements at the door.
Fu Yao’s heart skipped a beat.
The tea in front of him had cooled down. He drank it calmly as if he hadn’t noticed it.
After waiting for a while, Fu Yao began to be anxious again.
He paced to the door, put his hand on the handle, and hesitated.
It seemed that he was not ready yet.
All the possible scenes flashed through his mind.
When he opened the door, he unexpectedly looked into another man’s eyes.
Fu Yao suppressed his anger and ignored Bai Jingyan. He just stared at Shen Qieyi.
She had not seen him yet.
Without a word, Bai Jingyan bumped into his shoulder and walked into the house. He handed the shopping bags to the servant who came forward to welcome him.
Fu Yao reached out to block it. His tone was cold as he said, “Take your things and get lost.”
Bai Jingyan ignored him and stuffed everything into the servant’s arms.
Without any hesitation, he suddenly grabbed Fu Yao’s collar and said with a fake smile, “You’re the one who should get lost.”
Fu Yao stepped back and clenched his fists, ready to swing them over.
“Stop!” Shen Qieyi shouted and walked over quickly.
She finally realized that Fu Yao was at home, and the two of them had started an argument.
Shen Qieyi pushed Bai Jingyan’s rude hand away and pushed him back a few steps.
Seeing her back facing him to separat him and Bai Jingyan, Fu Yao felt a little more at ease.
This was because she subconsciously trusted him that she was willing to face her weakest and most vulnerable back to him.
Shen Qieyi signaled Bai Jingyan with his eyes. “You should go back first. Thank you very much for today.”
Bai Jingyan didn’t listen and crossed his arms as if he was watching a show.
Fu Yao frowned as he watched Shen Qieyi put his hand on Bai Jingyan’s arm. He then heard her say, “You go back first. I’ll treat you to a meal next time.”
Fu Yao’s frown deepened.
Bai Jingyan smiled at Fu Yao and said, “Okay, deal.”
The words were directed at Shen Qieyi, but his gaze was focused on Fu Yao.
Fu Yao looked on coldly and did not say anything.
Without giving it much thought, Shen Qieyi nodded and gently pushed him away.
It was easy for these two men to cause trouble when they were together, so Shen Qieyi was really worried.
She sent Bai Jingyan into his car and watched him leave before returning to the house.
Fu Yao couldn’t help but follow her out. He stopped at the door and leaned against the door frame, waiting for her.
Watching her walk back slowly, Fu Yao sneered. “Do you still treat this place as a home? You even brought a man back to show me.”
Shen Qieyi walked with her head down, ignoring him.
Seeing that she had completely ignored him, Fu Yao was furious.
The moment she brushed past him, Fu Yao couldn’t hold it in any longer. He reached out to grab her wrist and said, “Let’s talk.”
Shen Qieyi pursed her lips and turned to look at him.
She didn’t hold back what she had to say last night. What more could they talk about?
Fu Yao got straight to the point. “You want a divorce, but I won’t agree.”
However, there was no fluctuation in Shen Qieyi’s expression.
She even felt that Fu Yao’s hypocrisy was very ridiculous.
This marriage was only a performance. She had already ended her part, then only he entered the stage.
No matter how hard he tried, it was already over.
Shen Qieyi laughed at herself. “I know that whatever I want to do, you will only mock me and say no.”
Seeing that he had nothing to say, Shen Qieyi shook off his hand and walked inside.
Fu Yao followed closely behind her like a child who had done something wrong.
Shen Qieyi was helpless and did not understand what he was doing.
“Don’t follow me.” Shen Qieyi turned her head to look at him and then quickly went upstairs.
