Zhangma was reluctant to let Shen Qieyi go as she looked at her being clingy.
The two of them stayed together intimately, working and chatting.
Shen Qieyi begged Zhangma to accompany her to the backyard to water the lawn.
Shen Qieyi looked at her expectantly, and Zhangma couldn’t reject her, so she helped prepare the equipments.
The sunshine was just right. The green lawn was matched with a white fence, and there was a neat row of palm trees not far from the courtyard. Everything seemed so lively.
Shen Qieyi dragged her feet in heavy boots, clumsily holding the hose up. She stood in the middle of the lawn and smiled happily.
Zhangma looked at her dotingly. “Such an easy to please girl.”
The Fu family’s bell rang loudly, and the servants went to the front yard to check.
There was a small wooden door that was so high that it reached his chest.
“Does Shen Qieyi stay here?”
The servant was suspicious. “Yes.”
“Where is she? Is she at home?” The man stretched his neck and looked inside.
“Ms. Shen is at home. Are you her friend?”
“Yes, can you open the door and let me in first?” The man asked impatiently.
The servant saw that he was wearing a black coat, which was wide open, revealing a brown casual suit. His clothes were fluttering in the air. His black trousers were clean and perfectly ironed. He was tall and had fringe scattered on his forehead.
The servant didn’t dare to neglect him and opened the door, assuming that he was an important person.
The man followed the servant into the room and stood in the middle of the hall, carefully observing the interior of the unlively house.
“Ms. Shen is in the backyard. Sir, please follow me.” The servant called softly and asked him to follow.
“Ms. Shen?” He was confused.
The man raised his eyebrows. It was really interesting.
Walking to the spacious backyard, the man signaled the servants not to make any sound.
Looking at Shen Qieyi, who was a few steps away with her back to him, the man picked up the sprinkler on the side and aimed it straight at her without hesitation.
“Ah!” There was a drizzle falling from the top of her head. She screamed and stretched out her hands to block it.
Hearing the hearty laughter behind her, Shen Qieyi turned around in surprise.
Seeing that Bai Jingyan laughed rudely after making fun of her, Shen Qieyi frowned.
Bai Jingyan was arrogant and demanding. He wanted to see what she could do as revenge.
Shen Qieyi calmly turned around and stood firm. The next second, she raised the water hose and shot it at him. “Take it back!”
Bai Jingyan didn’t have time to dodge her “gift” when water fell on his face.
Mr. Bai panicked. He jumped around and shouted, “F*ck! Shen Qieyi! Can’t you be gentle?”
Shen Qieyi lowered the hose. Looking at his embarrassing condition, she laughed more and more happily.
Bai Jingyan was afraid that if he continued to be ruthless, his handsome appearance would be ruined by her, so he held himself back from retaliating.
Bai Jingyan stepped on the lawn and walked to her, shouting, “Why did you become a servant of the Fu family?”
Zhangma frowned and wanted to explain.
Shen Qieyi ignored him and stopped her. “Don’t mind him. He’s my friend. He’s just joking.”
Bai Jingyan came to her and leaned over to look at her face. “Tut-tut, tut-tut, I haven’t seen you for a few days. Why are you as haggard as an old woman?”
Shen Qieyi rolled her eyes at him. She was used to his venomous tongue.
Bai Jingyan took the hose from her hand with a smile and started to spray.
Shen Qieyi stood with her hands on her hips and just looked at him without saying another word.
“Can’t you see that I’m working as hard as a bee? Why aren’t you saying anything? Shen Qieyi, you’re such a cold woman!” Bai Jingyan just wanted to make her laugh with his humor.
“A bee is more lovely than you. Don’t try to compare yourself to it.” Shen Qieyi teased him.
Bai Jingyan looked at her in disbelief. How dare she talk back to him?
“Hey! Are you blind? Can’t you see my beauty?” As he spoke, he leaned his face in front of hers. “Open your eyes and you’ll see who’s cuter.”
Shen Qieyi stretched out her index finger and pushed his shoulder away. “Stay away from me! Don’t be childish!”
Zhangma, who was listening to the quarrel between the two, smiled happily.
It was rare for her to see such a cheerful Shen Qieyi.
Shen Qieyi also did not realize that Bai Jingyan and her have become rather close.
Zhangma reminded her, “Madam, take your friend in. I’ll finish up here.”
Shen Qieyi was unwilling to do so and wanted to snatch the hose back.

“To serve tea for you, Mr. Bai. Are you going to let go?” Shen Qieyi explained to him without looking back.
Bai Jingyan let go of her and walked side by side with her. “Long time no see. Why are you so irritable to me now? Did you swallow gunpowder?”
Shen Qieyi turned to look at him. “Am I?”
“Yes! It’s like you might just explode anytime!” Bai Jingyan exaggerated.
“Hey! Don’t tell me you’re venting all your anger of that man on me!” Bai Jingyan kept making blind guesses and stomped in anger.
Shen Qieyi ignored him and turned into the kitchen to open the refrigerator. She turned her head and asked, “What would you like to drink?”
“Answer me first!” Bai Jingyan followed her with an unhappy look.
Shen Qieyi rolled her eyes at him again. She took out a bottle of mineral water and handed it to him. “You think too much.”
Seeing that she was perfunctory, Bai Jingyan continued to ask, “What’s wrong with you now? Take a look at yourself in the mirror. You look really ugly.”
Shen Qieyi chuckled, not offended. “I’m really sorry that my ugliness is blinding you.”
Seeing her mocking herself, Bai Jingyan frowned. “Are you stupid? I’m worried about you!”
Shen Qieyi couldn’t stand him and went straight to the point. “I’m going to divorce, so I sad, pathetic and dead. I can’t control how I look.”
Bai Jingyan was stunned on the spot.
“She’s getting divorced?” He thought.

Bai Jingyan knew that she was like a bomb waiting to be ticked off right now.
He crossed his arms over his chest and lowered his head to look at her. He did not hide the smile in his eyes. “Okay, okay, okay. I was wrong. I’ll take you out to have fun. Do you want to go or not?”
Shen suddenly leaned back. “Nope.”
“Tsk, are you going or not?” Bai Jingyan asked again.
“No, no, no!” Shen Qieyi was annoyed and walked past him to the hall.
“Hey!” Bai Jingyan looked at her back and muttered to himself, “What a difficult person to deal with!”
