Chapter 49 Everything Was Wrong

Book:Ex-wife, Long Time No See Published:2024-6-2

“Actually… actually, you really misunderstood him. Actually… he really admired you. Really. I know you definitely don’t want to believe this.”
“Since he knew that his daughter had fallen in love with Fu Yao, even though he could not make up for his mistakes, but he really hoped for good things about us.”
Shen Qieyi still couldn’t help but feel sad, she cried and laughed when she talked about her father
“On the day of my father’s funeral, I wanted to talk to you. I hope for you to know the truth, and I hope you will not blame him and hate him on his last day.”
But Fu Yao didn’t even appear at his own father-in-law’s funeral.
Shen Qieyi did not say this out loud, but they were both well aware of it.
Shen Qieyi recalled the process of this journey. It seemed that it was from that moment that she no longer bare any expectations from Fu Yao.
Fu Yao listened quietly without explaining anything.
“Do you know that I concealed the news of my mother’s death from Dad? Every time I went to visit him, I was both excited and grateful to have a short time with him, but it was so hard for me to listen to Dad talking about mom.”
Shen Qieyi allowed her tears to flow freely.
“There are no two perfect things in this world. If you are greedy for one, you will lose another one.”
“When my dad was alive, his last wish was my happiness, but I knew that I wouldn’t be happy if I stayed with you for another day.”
“I don’t want to let my dad down, and I don’t want to tie you down with me anymore.”
Shen Qieyi’s face was already full of tears after she said all of these.
After listening to her long narration, Fu Yao looked up at her in shock and asked reflexively, “Does your father really think so?”
It was not the truth that he had seen before.
Fu Yao did not hate the Shen family because of the forced marriage, but because he knew that he had become a chess piece in politics and business interests. His life trajectory was controlled and he was forced to become the most hated and cruel player.
He hated these dirty tricks.
Shen Qieyi looked directly at him. “I’ll use my life to guarantee you that he doesn’t want to control you. He even…”
He even wanted to give you all of our inheritance on our second year’s anniversary.
Shen Qieyi knew that things had changed and the Shen family was gone. It was useless to talk about this.
For Fu Yao, it was not even worth mentioning.
Fu Yao focused his mind and tried to calm himself down. She did not know what he was thinking.
The two of them had been silent for too long, and they have both missed so much.
Shen Qieyi hesitated and opened her mouth, “If… you feel even just a little sorry to my father, I think you will agree to divorce me, right?”
“We are still young, and we have a chance to start all over again… I think you will meet a girl and enjoy real love.”
Shen Qieyi carefully looked at his eyes and brows. How she wanted to reach out her hand to caress it and engrave it into her heart.
Fu Yao did not say a word and only looked at her bashfully.
Shen Qieyi pursed her lips and took a deep breath, trying to get up and leave.
She could not bear to force him.
Fu Yao grabbed her wrist and did not want to let her go like this .
In desperation, he pulled her closer.
Shen Qieyi stumbled and fell into his arms, her two hands was on each sides of his body.
Fu Yao looked into her clear eyes and saw his own figure. He lowered his head and looked at her face.
Shen Qieyi’s delicate face turned red.
She rarely got so close to him, she even felt his breath on her face.
Shen Qieyi concealed the panic in her heart, propped up her body and wanted to leave.
Fu Yao stretched out his hand to stop her. He only wanted to kiss her.
Desire broke out of the earth and crashed through the clouds.
If he wanted to do it, he would do it. He slightly lowered his head, held her shoulder, and kissed her lips.
From the time he grabbed her, to when he kissed her, everything happened in just a dozen seconds, but it switched back and forth in Shen Qieyi’s mind like a slow movie.
Fu Yao’s intention was to disturb her. He embraced her and entangled with her lips and teeth like bubbles and foam.
Shen Qieyi’s struggles slowed down, and the final taut string in her mind also cracked, as if she was about to drown in this gentle treatment.
He held her face and gently rubbed her cheek with his thumb like she was as precious as treasure.
Shen Qieyi slightly opened her quivering eyes, only to be knocked down unexpectedly.
Fu Yao stretched out his hand and covered her clean eyes. He was so proud that he was afraid of her seeing her emotional side.
Shen Qieyi was stunned.
Fu Yao turned over and pressed her under his body. He could not help reaching out to stroke her, trying to get closer.
His warm and dry hands wandered around her body, melting wherever they went.
The sudden movement made her panic.
Suddenly, Shen Qieyi opened her eyes and repeatedly reminded herself that she could not indulge herself anymore and pushed him away with all her strength.
They got out of the vortex.
Fu Yao sat on the side, the back of his hand covering his eyes, his heart thumping rapidly.
In the quiet room, his clear Adam’s apple knot rolled, making Shen Qieyi shudder.
Crazy.
Everything was a mess.
Shen Qieyi got up, hurriedly cleaned herself up and strode away. Before the door closed, she stopped herself from looking at him.
Shen Qieyi quickly walked down the stairs. Seeing that the crowd had dispersed, only the servants were left to clean up the place.
She looked at the mess in the living room and slowed down. Suddenly, she stopped.
She turned around and walked back. She raised her hand and knocked on the door, getting a response.
Only then did Shen Qieyi lightly open the door and enter.
She turned around and closed the door, standing at the door. “Grandpa.”
The old man was lying on the bed with a coat draped over his shoulders. He looked up with glasses and was flipping something in his hand.
He smiled and waved at her. “Come here, child.”
Shen Qieyi also smiled and quickly walked over. “Grandpa, I’m really sorry to disturb you so late.”
“Don’t bother me. I’m happy to have a chat with you.”
He motioned for her to sit on the edge of the bed and Shen Qieyi sat down as she was told.
He shook the thick album in his hand and sighed. “When people are old, they always like to recall.”
As he spoke, he showed the person in the photo to her. Coincidentally, it was a photo of him and his wife.
Shen Qieyi curiously lowered her head to take a closer look.
It was an old and yellow photo without a corner. Grandma was covering her mouth and looking at grandfather, smiling so happily, while her grandfather stood straight beside her and looked straight at the camera. He was not good at talking and laughing and was very dignified.
Although the face in the photo was a little blurry, it was still easy to see that they were a perfect match.
In his twenties, his favorite person was by his side. Shen Qieyi looked at the grandmother’s shining eyes with envy.
