Bai Jingyan leaned lazily on the chair, casually playing with a pen. His face was already filled with impatience.
When Shen Qieyi saw him, he also looked over.
They looked at each other. Shen Qieyi felt the back of her head go numb. This troublesome rich man had come to the hospital, and he’s most likely here to trouble her.
“You’re quite good after all. After taking your medicine and listening to your advice, I feel much better now. I had a normal reaction when I got up in the morning.”
Bai Jingyan was too excited. He was immersed in the joy of being a normal man, so he put Shen Qieyi’s refusal to answer the phone behind him.
Shen Qieyi nodded lightly. As she put on the white coat, she said, “Actually, drugs are only supplementary. The most important thing is to stop having sex. So you’d better not touch women during this period of time.”
If he hadn’t looked for a woman, how could Bai Jingyan know that he had an erection?
Knowing that this man was flirtatious and might not listen to her, but she still reminded him.
Otherwise, if he had no reaction, the responsibility would still be on her.
“It seems that you’re not a total quack.” Bai Jingyan was in a good mood and said, “If there is anything you want, I will repay you.”
As soon as his voice fell, there was a knock on the door.
The door opened and Mo Yirou poked her head in. “Qieyi, you finally came to work. I thought you…”
Mo Yirou suddenly stopped halfway through her sentence. She looked at Bai Jingyan with an awkward expression. “Mr. Bai is here too.”
Mo Yirou did not leave. Instead, she took a step forward and carefully observed Shen Qieyi’s expression with a look of guilt on her face.
Disregarding Bai Jingyan’s presence, she said, “It’s all my fault last night. If I hadn’t insisted on dragging you there, your husband wouldn’t have seen you, and such things wouldn’t have happened. It’s all my fault.”
Horrible memory was recalled, and Shen Qieyi suddenly looked pale. She subconsciously bit her lip, and her bloodless lips became paler.
Mo Yirou blinked her eyes. Her eyes were clear and innocent.
But when she was admiring the pain on Shen Qieyi’s face, the corners of her mouth slightly raised, but soon she restored her worried and guilty look.
Her pair of seemingly innocent eyes hid an extremely vicious heart.
Mo Yirou’s eyelashes drew a strange arc in the air. When her gaze landed on Bai Jingyan, she withdrew her gaze and continued, “Qieyi, it’s all my fault. It’s all my fault. If you two…”
“It’s okay, I don’t blame you.”
It was obvious from Mo Yirou’s expression that she had something to say, but due to him being here, she didn’t say it out loud.
The more she did this, the more Bai Jingyan felt that there were some secrets to this.
He looked at Shen Qieyi and then at Mo Yirou. He was a little impatient. He was waiting for the woman to tell the whole story, but all he heard was her blaming herself.
Bai Jingyan was self-centered and never cared about other people’s gossip. This was the first time he was so eager to hear something.
He did not know why, perhaps even he himself did not notice, but he was somewhat interested in Shen Qieyi.
Mo Yirou’s eyes were filled with a faint happiness. Her brows was furrowed, as if she was talking without thinking because she was worried. “If the two of you are really going to divorce…”
“Enough.” Shen Qieyi interrupted her, and then rushed out of the office, leaving only one sentence, “I’m going to the bathroom.”
Shen Qieyi felt like a coward when she opened the door and walked out to the corridor.
The word divorce made her terrified, so she chose to escape. In fact, Mo Yirou’s concerns were her greatest fears.
In the office, Bai Jingyan’s brows had long been knitted together as he stared into the distance at the entrance.
“What happened to her?”
Mo Yirou was in a bit of a dilemma. After hesitating for a moment, she said, “We went to the bar together last night. We didn’t expect to be seen by her husband. The two of them seem to be getting divorced. It’s all my fault.”
Mo Yirou’s words seemed to be blaming herself. But she said they went together instead of Shen Qieyi accompanying her to go. This way, people would misunderstand that Shen Qieyi went to the bar because she wanted to and was discovered by her husband, so the two of them were going to divorce.
Hearing this, Bai Jingyan’s first reaction was shock. He didn’t expect Shen Qieyi to go to the bar… It seemed to be not in line with her character.
At the same time, he got up and walked out of the office.
Bai Jingyan strode forward and kept looking for Shen Qieyi. As for why, he did not know.
“I heard that Doctor Shen is going to divorce her husband.”
“It’s not that she wants to divorce her husband. It’s her husband who wants to divorce her. His husband has abandoned her.”
“It’s not easy for a person like her to have a husband. Why didn’t she know how to count her blessings and insist on going to a bar? Did she go to seek pleasure?”
Bai Jingyan, felt very uncomfortable hearing all these. He looked in the direction of the voice, only to see several young nurses gathering around and talking.
Bai Jingyan walked over and knocked on the counter’s table with his fist. “You guys.”
Hearing the voice, the nurses shut their mouths and turned to look at Bai Jingyan.
“Go to Westle Garden and buy me a hundred cups of coffee. Everyone, go.” He ordered. He obviously did it on purpose.
For a moment, all the nurses looked at each other.
Everyone knew about Bai Jingyan’s background, and no one dared to offend him. Nobody dared to disobey his order, but they did not know how they had offended this man.
The crowd’s silence made Bai Jingyan very unhappy. He raised his voice and said, “Can’t you hear what I said?”
“Mr. Bai.” After a moment of silence, an older nurse finally said respectfully, “If we can help you, it is our duty, but if all of us left together and a patient came in, no one can deal with it.”
Bai Jingyan sneered. “I think you guys are quite free anyway. There’s nothing you can do even if a patient comes.”
After saying that, he glanced at the watch on his wrist and said coldly, “The queue at that shop is quite long. If you don’t go now, I’m afraid that you won’t come back today.”
At this point, these nurses knew that Bai Jingyan was making things difficult for them, but they had no choice.
In the end, they could only leave together. As he looked at the backs of these people, two words flashed through Bai Jingyan’s heart, “Well deserved.”
