The Early morning sun was smiling to the Earth. It was favourable weather. The birds of the Air flew from one direction to another, searching for food to eat while some were hunting to make sure they built a nest especially for their young ones. Because of how they worked in groups, it made the sky look colourful due to how the birds had different skin colors.
Meanwhile, the fowls of the Earth had also risen. The hen moved around with her infant, making sure she provided them breakfast while the cock was busy roaming around, also searching for a daily bread. Not minding if he had a wife or children. Due to how the weather was favourable to them and making them move around, it made the cock crow, signifying how happy it was and also telling the people in the neighbourhood that it was already morning.
Annabel, who came back very late last night, decided to spend the night in Rose’s room. She was still sleeping like a baby because of how hectic last night was and because of how tired she was last night especially what happened at the hospital when she arrived. It weakened her. She didn’t have any intentions to say it to Mara or Rose because they had already slept and secondly, she didn’t want to make her dearest Rose feel worried.
Annabel was still lying on the bed when she heard the cock crow. With both eyes still closed, she rolled towards the left side of the bed and when her body felt another body lying closer to her, she decided to roll towards the other direction but it was unfortunate that her body encountered an embargo, stopping her from moving her body. When she realized that she was sleeping in between some unknown thing to her, she decided to open her eyes to see what it was and when she did, she saw that she was actually sleeping in between Rose and Mara and then she sighed after realizing that.
She hadn’t gotten a brighter view yet as she stood from her lying position and sat on the bed, resting her head on the head board before starting to rub her eyes and stretch her body. After some time, it seemed as if her view was now brighter as she gently climbed down out of the bed and walked towards the direction of her room and when she got to her room door, she pushed it open and went. She went straight towards the restroom, pushed the door open and went in to freshen up herself.
A moment after, she had already finished taking her bath and also brushed her teeth. After drying her body and being sure her body was dried enough, she came out from the bathroom with a white towel tied around her body and a pink towel wrapped around her wet hair as she walked towards her wardrobe to dress up.
She made use of her cream and other toiletries and after that, she searched for her causal dress and put them on. After she was done dressing up, she went back to Mara’s room only for her to see the two girls still sleeping. This time around, Mara had placed one of her leg on top of Rose and with her legs widely opened, she rolled towards Rose and as she was about rolling Rose out of the bed, that was the scene that caught Annabel’s eyes. Annabel ran towards the bed as she held and stopped Rose from falling out of the bed, shifting Mara and making Rose lay properly on the bed again. Meanwhile, Mara and Rose hadn’t known what was happening. The two girls were just sleeping peacefully as if they were babies. At that moment, they looked like a log.
Annabel didn’t know if she should laugh or get angry at Mara for wanting to push Rose out of the bed. She knew it wasn’t intentional and that was why she didn’t take action on Mara yet. All she could do was just stand and imagined what Mara would do to her if she should wake her up and start taunting her so early in the morning for her silly and stupid act.
She stood for a while and when she was about to leave the room so the two girls could sleep peacefully, she noticed that Mara had moved her body again but this time, she wasn’t pushing Rose out of the bed but instead, she was stretching her body and also rubbing the sleep off her eyes. It seemed she had woken up.
“Good morning.” Said Mara.
Immediately Annabel heard the voice of someone greeting her, she decided to turn towards the direction where the voice was coming from and when she did, she saw that one of the log had woken up. It was Mara. Mara had woken up while Rose was still sleeping like a baby.
“How was your night?” Annabel asked.
“Fine and yours?”
“Mine was fine and I also know that yours was fine as well. That’s why you placed your leg on top of Rose and you also rolled and was about to push her out of the bed and even when I shifted your body, you didn’t wake. You are just a log! So this is what you did to Daniel that night, Huh? This is what you actually did to that innocent dude? Heh! You are unbelievable.” Annabel said as she waited for Mara’s reply but unfortunately, she got none. Mara just sat on the bed with her sleepy face and was staring at Annabel. It seemed she was short of words and was convinced that it was too early to receive Annabel’s taunt but how could she avoid that crazy girl’s words when she had decided not to stop talking?
“I feel pity for him now. Oh! That poor cute dude! Only God knows how many times you have made him fall out of the bed. Hehehehehe.” She laughed as she continued talking. “I’m sure he had fallen countless times in less than two nights. Hahahahaha.” Annabel said as she laughed out loud and Mara on the other hand, couldn’t stop those laughs from coming out. She had long held them from coming but it seemed that she couldn’t hold them any longer. She burst into laughter and because of how loud she had laughed, it disturbed Rose’s sleep as Rose rolled on the bed a little only for her to open her eyes and saw the two crazy girls looking at her sleepy face with a smile on their lips. She couldn’t stop wondering the secret of those smiles.
“Good morning.” She greeted as the both girls replied.
“Good morning baby girl,” Mara said.
“Good morning my cute beautiful sis.” Annabel said.
Rose started to wonder why her two crazy friends were acting so sweet towards her so early in the morning. She widened her eyes and continued staring at them but the next thing Annabel and Mara did and said surprised her.
“You need to bathe now and take your breakfast. Come let’s go to the bathroom.” Annabel said as herself and Mara walked towards Rose as they tried carrying her up and going to the bathroom to have her shower.
“I’ll bathe you today.” Mara said to Rose as Annabel argued with her.
“Huh? Bath who? That’s not possible. I’m the one to bathe her and not you.” Said Annabel.
Meanwhile, Rose was still Confused on what’s going on. She couldn’t say a word to any of the girls. Nothing was making sense to her. They were actually arguing on who would bath her? Like seriously?
“I must bath her and there is nothing you can do about it.” Mara said.
“Wait… I don’t understand what’s going on here. Both of you are actually arguing on who would bath Me? Like seriously? I’m not a baby, you girls know right?” Said Rose.
“You don’t have a choice sister. We are going to bathe you and that’s final!” Said Annabel.
“…” Rose was speechless.
“Oh! We? Hmmmm. I see. Time up… time to bathe.” Said Mara as herself and Annabel held Rose’s hand and walked her towards the bathing room to bathe her. After some time, They were already done bathing Rose. Annabel walked out of the bathroom with Rose with a towel wrapped around Rose’s body as they both walked towards the dressing room. When they got there, Annabel asked Rose to stand and wait for her while she searched for a dress so Rose could wear it. After Annabel had hunted on the dress, she finally found the particular one she was looking for. Annabel could remember that that dress was Rose’s favourite. She brought out the clothes and made Rose put them on. It was a purple short gown with a picture of Mickey Mouse drawn on the front of the dress.
When Rose had worn the dress, that was the moment Mara was coming out of the bathroom. She walked out and went towards Rose’s wardrobe and took one of Rose’s dresses and put them on. Mara, wearing Rose’s dress wasn’t an issue to any of the girls because they do wear each other’s dresses.
Once they were done, they left to the sitting room and sat at the dining table, waiting for the servant to come serve them breakfast. While they waited, Rose remembered that Annabel had gone to the hospital last night as she decided to ask.
“How is Mr. Evidence? Is he doing okay? Any improvement?” She asked.
“Sister, don’t worry yourself okay? He is going to be okay so just chill.” She said as she stretched out her hand towards Rose and caressed her cheek.
Annabel didn’t want to break Rose’s heart by telling her that his condition wasn’t getting any better. After all, she recently started his treatment, so she believed that with time, the drugs will take effect on him.
“What’s your blood group?” Annabel asked Rose.
Rose, hearing that question, her heart skipped.
“Huh?” She widened her eyes. “Is Mr Evidence running short of blood? I don’t mind if I donate to him. My blood can go right? After I donate, will he be alright?” Rose was worried and asked like a worried mother.
Meanwhile, Annabel noticed how worried she was as she decided to calm her down.
“Hey! Girl calmed down. I already told you he is going to be fine. Don’t trouble yourself so you don’t get ill. You need to be the strong lady you have always been, okay.” Annabel said as she wiped the little tears that were about to drop from her eyes.
“I’ll run a test on your blood tomorrow and if it matches his, you will be donating some to him.” Said Annabel.
“Tomorrow? That’s too far, sister. What happened Now? Why can’t you do it Now? Huh? See, look at me, I’m strong enough so there is nothing to worry about.” She said as she stood, trying to show Annabel how fit and ready she was for the detonation. “I’m fit to donate my blood to him now. Let’s do it now… please… please sister” she begged.
Annabel sighed, not knowing what to do. She was confused emotionally. She sighed the second time as she creased her brows and pinched the skin in between her brows in confusion.
“Sister, the drugs I gave him would last him the whole of today. When I’m going to the hospital tomorrow to give him another drug, you will come with me so we can run the test on your blood before donating. Okay?” Said Annabel.
Rose widened her eyes again as her mouth formed an ‘O’ before she finally spoke.
“Huh? Means you are not going to the hospital today? Means I won’t see Mr. Evidence today? I disagree with that. I wish to see him every day.” Said Rose as she frowned her face and placed her hands across each other with a little tears, threatening to drop.
Annabel felt speechless again and then, she finally gave In.
“Okay. I agree with you. We will be going to the hospital today. Is that Okay?”
Rose nodded as Annabel wiped those little tears from her big cute eyes.
Meanwhile, Mara watched the scene before her quietly as she became emotional as usual. She thought of something that would put a smile on Rose’s face as she came up with an idea.
“Hey girls! It’s been a long time since we went out together. How about we go out to chill and on our way back home, he stops by at the hospital so Rose can see Mr. Evidence.”
“Sure! That would be great…” said Annabel and that was the moment the servants walked towards them with their breakfast, already prepared and ready to be devoured. Once the food was placed on the table, Mara and Annabel started eating but when they noticed that Rose was moody and wasn’t eating her food, they decided to feed her as if she was a baby.
