David searched for Daniel’s number and when he found it, he called him but it happened that the phone rang… no one was picking up.
“That guy isn’t picking up his calls.” David said as he decided to try again and when he did, luckily, Daniel picked the phone and with the fire burning in David’s eyes he spoke angrily to Daniel.
“Why didn’t you call me? I told Jack to deliver a message to You, didn’t he?” he asked with a husky voice and meanwhile Daniel on the other hand was just waking up from sleep. His brain hadn’t gotten back to normal yet and because he just woke up from sleep, what David said, he worried less about it.
David noticed that Daniel hadn’t said anything on the phone yet as he said again.
“I told Jack to deliver a message to you, didn’t he?”
Daniel rubbed his eyes and sighed before he then finally spoke.
“He told me. Sorry… I wanted to call you but I slept off last night because I was so tired. I’m so sorry. So, tell me what’s up? Why the urgent call? what’s happening?” Daniel asked.
“Well I was calling you to let you know about Evidence’s condition. He is in the hospital now and he is in a coma as I speak to you.”
Daniel, hearing the shocking news, let out some words in his surprised state.
“In a coma? How? when? where? How did it happen? Is it that serious?” Daniel asked curiously. It was obvious in his voice that he was worried. Now that he heard the reason why David was calling him, he still couldn’t believe what David had told him and then he decided to ask again.
“wait! Which of the Evidence are you talking about?” He asked while David on the other end of the call got upset and raised his voice as Daniel.
“What kind of question is this? How many Evidence do you know? How many condom CEOs do you know? Where are you? David asked.
“I’m in a hotel with Mara. Just tell me where you guys are so I can meet up with you all.” Daniel said as David replied.
“Ok. after the call I will send you the address. Right now, I’m at home but I’ll be going to the hospital right after the call. You have to meet me up there. David said and Daniel agreed to it and as David was about to end the call, Daniel remembered something and said.
“Hey! Wait, what about Rose? How is she doing? Is she okay? hope she isn’t hurting herself?” Hee asked as David replied.
“Don’t worry. She’s ok. Just meet me up there. She should also be at the hospital. I think Annabel will bring her along.” David said and after he said those words, he ended the call not waiting for Daniel to say any other word.
immediately, Daniel went to the bed to wake Mara up but when you got there, she was already awake. she was just sitting down on the bed and was rubbing her eyes as he walked up to her and said;
“Good morning baby. How was your night?”
Mara, still rubbing her eyes, she looked at him and said;
“Fine, baby and yours?”
“Cool, not bad. Baby, we will be going to the hospital right now. There’s an emergency. Mr. Evidence is in a coma. ” he said and Mara got surprised and wondered what had happened.
“Mr. Evidence is in a coma? What happened?” She asked.
“I don’t know, baby. No one told me yet let’s just dress up and go to the hospital. I’m sure we’ll have to find out when we get there.” He told Mara as she hurriedly stood up from the bed. They both walked into the bathroom and took their bath and after they furnished bathing and had dressed up, they walked downstairs where the car was parked as Daniel ordered one of his driver to drive the car and after sometime, the car in which Mara and Daniel was in accelerated while his guards were on another vehicle, driving towards him.
Meanwhile, at Annabel’s home, Annabel had prepared and she had also helped Rose to dress up so they could leave for the hospital.
As for David and Mike, they were already on their way to the hospital, alongside with one of Mr. Evidence’s brother. After Mike and David had told Mr Evidence’s family, few of them that were in the United States of America made themselves available to go to the hospital alongside, with David and Mike while some of them that were not in town weren’t available to visit the hospital at that moment. It was after and immediately David finished talking to Daniel on the phone, that was when he left to the hospital so right now, they were already closer to the hospital. In less than 10 minutes, they would arrive at the hospital premises.
After a couple of minutes, Annabel just got to the hospital by the help of her driver who drove her Lamborghini down to the hospital and that moment Annabel and Rose arrived at the hospitals, that was when Mike, David and few of Mr Evidence’s family also arrived at the same hospital and meanwhile as they arrived, they waited for Daniel and Mara who told David earlier that they were already on their way coming as they waited for them.
After a while, Mara and Daniel arrived at the hospital and after the car had driven into the hospital compound and immediately the driver drove into the hospital premises Mara sighted Rose from a little distance through the window. When the car had parked, Mara came down from the car, ran towards Rose and gave her a hug. Those embraces were filled with courage, and that embrace was what Rose needed at that moment.
While Mara was still hugging Rose, Daniel walked up to them with his two hands placed inside his pocket as he gently and majestically walked like a boss and when you got there, they all got together at a particular spot in the hospital premises as they started discussing on how to see the doctor and also what they needed to do for the doctors to do something about Mr. Evidence’s condition. They stood there and discussed. where they all stood weren’t crowded or looking unkept or uncomfortable. It was just breathtaking on its own.
“Where is the doctor?” David asked.
“He should be at his office.” Mike said and immediately, Annabel interrupted.
“I need to see him as well.”
After some time, David, Annabel and one of Mr. Evidence’s brothers walked towards the doctors office. They knocked on his door before they pushed it open after they had gotten the permission that says.
“Come in.”
They walked in and took a seat.
The doctor sat comfortably in his seat as he gave ears to what they had to say.
Annabel cleared her throat.
“Good morning doctor. My name is Annabel.” She introduced herself and shook her hand with the doctor in charge before she continued her statement.
“About Mr. Evidence’s condition. Please allow me to be in charge of his treatment.” Annabel said.
“Sure! Sure! I have no issues with that. After that, I’ll take you to his world.” The doctor said,
Everyone in the United States of America knew Annabel to be one of the best doctors. The doctor in which Mr. Evidence was at his hospital was also aware of this and that was why he didn’t argue when she said she wanted to be in charge of Mr. Evidence’s situation.
“Is this Mr. Evidence’s brother?” The doctor asked and David and Annabel nodded.
“Nice to meet with you sir.” The doctor said, giving Mr. Evidence’s brother a hand shake, accomplished by a little smile.
After sometime, they all discussed so many things and when they were about to leave the doctor’s office, the doctor led Annabel towards Mr. Evidence’s world while David, and Mr. Evidence’s brother walked out, going towards the place where Daniel and the two ladies were.
Annabel got into the room and brought out some injections she had come with. She injected some of the drugs into Mr. Evidence’s body and she was sure the drugs would help. By the help of those drugs, it’s either Mr. Evidence chance of survival would be 50% or he would be in coma for a short time. You know those drugs? Those drugs were imported to her by her father and it wasn’t all the hospitals that were able to afford it because it was so very expensive. Annabel, getting the drugs wasn’t an issue because her father was able to afford it because of how wealthy he was and how good his hospital was.
It wasn’t as if the hospital Mr. Evidence was in wasn’t good enough, just that… It happened that Annabel’s father’s hospital was outstanding.
After Annabel had injected Mr. Evidence with the drugs, she left his world and was now walking to go and meet the rest of the people outside. When she got there, she made Rose believe that everything was getting better and that Mr. Evidence would be okay in no time.
She only wanted to comfort her friend and didn’t want her to feel worried.
“I have injected him with some drugs, he will be okay soon. Don’t worry okay,” Annabel said as she poked Rose’s nose, trying to see if Rose would laugh or smile but the result was negative. Rose didn’t smile, laugh nor say a word. She just stood and leaned on Mara’s body.
Annabel, seeing that Rose wasn’t saying a word, she said to David.
“Baby… I will go to my home with Rose so I can take care of her. Maybe later, I’ll come back and check on Mr. Evidence. What do you think?” She asked as she walked towards David, caressing his face and waiting for his reply.
“Sure! You can baby. You can take her okay? I’ll always call you from time to time to check up on you.” David said as he gave Annabel a peck on her lips and forehead.
“Thank you, baby.” She appreciated him.
Immediately Mara saw that Annabel would be going home with Rose, so she decided to join them. Daniel noticed that Mara wanted to tell him that she would love to go with them and because he noticed her reactions, he decided to give her the permission to go with them even before she asked for it.
“You can go with them, baby, okay? Yourself and Annabel should take care of Rose and don’t allow her to hurt herself for any reason. Evidence will be okay. Nothing to worry about.” Daniel said and walked towards Mara to give her a goodbye peck.
“Bye baby. I’ll call you once we get home.” Said Mara.
After sometime, they are separated, going to their different destinations.
Inside Annabel’s car…
Mara, Annabel and Rose were seated at the back seat while the driver was seated at the driver’s seat, concentrating on his driving. He wasn’t speeding up neither was he too slow. He was just at a normal level of speed.
Mara was seated at the other end, closer to the door/window. Annabel was also seated at the other end of the door/window and Rose was seated in between the both girls. Rose sat and leaned on Annabel’s body without saying anything to anyone as the car continued to move.
After a short while, Annabel felt something liquid on her shoulders and when she looked, those liquid substances were Rose’s tears. Rose didn’t want to cry, she tried not to but how could she when those tears decided to flow on their own? They just kept flowing no matter how hard she tried to avoid them from pouring.
“Hey, are you crying again? I already told you Mr. Evidence will be okay in no time.” Annabel said as she used her palm to wipe Rose’s tears.
Meanwhile, when Annabel said those words to Rose, it attracted Mara’s attention.
“Sis, don’t cry, okay? Evidence won’t be happy to see you cry if he was here. Stop crying.” Mara said as she moved closer to Rose to calm her down while the car continued to move.
