Annabel, Mara and every other person had gone back into the compound.
Inside the building…
Mara was in her room. while Annabel was seated at the sitting room, still feeling emotional. She wondered why her crush hadn’t called her yet. She picked up her phone and called him. The phone rang twice but it was picked up at the third ring. She was so excited to hear his voice once more.
On the phone…
“Hi…” That was the only thing she was able to say and was waiting for a reply.
“Yeah, I was waiting for your call.” He said.
The truth was that David liked her too but didn’t know how to express his love. He was a virgin and Annabel was the only girl that he had shared intimacy with and it was so obvious that he was so very shy to confess his love.
Annabel knew that! She knew that her crush was innocent about all these things and that was why she didn’t get upset when she didn’t receive his call. She just understood everything.
“You were waiting for my call? Oh! Well, I called already. Are you busy?” She asked.
“No. I’m just at home. These days, I have less work to do… I’m just free.”
“Okay…” Annabel was looking for a way to say those words, she wanted to tell him but she couldn’t and before she could say another word, what she heard surprised her.
“I missed you.” He said.
Annabel wanted to let out a joyful scream when she realized that she was still on call.
“After that night, I couldn’t stop thinking about the crazy stuff you did. Hahahaha.” He said.
Annabel laughed.
“Where are you? Can we see each other? Please…” he pleaded.
Annabel was just so happy.
“Can we?”
“Yes… I’m free too. Just text me the address and i will come meet you.” She said,
“No. I don’t agree with that. Why not text me the address to your home and I will come and pick you.” He argued.
“Oh! Ok then.”
They both agreed and the call ended.
Annabel texted him her house address as she went straight to Mara’s room to check up on her but realized that she was sleeping again. She moved closer to Mara and used the duvet to cover her body and she then walked into her room to freshen up and also dress up so she could look good in front of her once-virgin crush.
Meanwhile, Rose and Evidence, On their way home, didn’t speak to each other. Rose kept gazing at Mr. Evidence through the side mirror and wondered what was running through his mind at that moment. While Mr. Evidence noticed her gaze but didn’t say a word. He kept on driving as he decided to stop at the front of a luxurious store. They both walked in and he bought her a lot of expensive dresses, shoes, jeweries and every other thing he thought she would love to have as they continued their journey.
The car kept moving, Rose was certain that the direction in which the car was heading wasn’t the road to home. She knew he was taking her elsewhere but she didn’t know the exact place. She just sat down mute but never stopped gazing at the handsome image beside her.
After one hour, the car stopped in front of a mansion that looked like a castle. She watched him call someone on the phone and told that person to come and open the gate.
Rose wondered if such buildings still exist because she had only seen them in movies or heard about them in stories. Still seated in the car and surprised, she decided to ask.
“Is this a house?” She asked.
“No, it’s a hotel. I own it here too. We will be staying here for some time.” He said.
“Why? You have work to do?” Her big eyes were wide open as she blinked them, waiting for an answer.
“…”
He looked at her and it looked as if words were far from him. Very far. He pinched the skin in between his brows and took a quick sigh of relief.
“You have work to do or you just want us to stay here?” She asked.
“I have work to do.” He replied and as soon as he sighted the security man opening the gate, he immediately drove in.
He parked the car, as they climbed out of the car and walked into the building, moving towards that familiar room number. Room 306. They got in front of the room door, Mr. Evidence brought out the room key, unlocked the door and they both went in.
Rose wondered why Mr. Evidence loved that room number but didn’t care to ask why.
“I’m supposed to do some work tomorrow but I postponed it until the day after tomorrow. So, tomorrow, you and i will be going out, i want to take you to any place of your choice, just mention it and i will make it happen.” He said, Rose just sat and was speechless. Those tears where about to drop again but this time, it was tears of joy.
“Shhhh, don’t cry, okay? He walked up to her, held her hand and wiped her tears. His hand trailed to her jaw as he raised her face up and now, she was looking at him at the face. He held her hand and made her stand. Rose stood with her tears still flowing as he hugged her tightly. In the next second, Rose finally heard those words, “I love you too.” He said.
Hearing those words from him, she became speechless. Crying was the only way she could express her emotions.
Mr. Evidence noticed that she was still crying when he pulled her off his embrace, wiped her tears again and kissed her forehead.
“Shhhhhhh, don’t cry okay? If not, I will cry as well.” He said and looked at her crying face, trying to see if his words made an impact on Rose’s emotion and luckily, it actually did because Rose started to smile immediately he told her that he was going to cry if she doesn’t stop crying. Rose could imagine what he would look like when he starts to cry as her laugh intensified.
