Maria was seated , astonished by her sudden change in attitude. She became more than worried for her safety’s, she watches her serve her the meal with delight and a perfect smile, which curved on her face . She walked round the dining happily. after a while she drop the tea cup and then sighs , releasing all the breath she had been holding for a very long time. Maria who was definitely confused by her actions watches her , till she walk out of her sight. Maria sighs , doubting her change in character and her genuineness , She take a spoon and swipe it inside the food, she remove the spoon with so much doubt in her mind . She stares at the food , exaggerating on whether to eat it or not , she had various thought going through her mind and after another deep sighs , she inhale the cool aroma of the food , salivating about the taste of the food;with one last thought , she pushed the spoon into her mouth as she enjoys the beautiful taste of the food, her angry stomach could not get enough of the food . she ate more from the plate until she was sure enough that she is satisfied, she stood to her feet immediately and just when she wanted to step into her room, Daphne showed up from behind , startling the daylight out of her .
“Oops , still the scared kitty cat. My bad sorry for my random invading, but what can a maid do ?”she whispers into her ears , she takes the plate and then walks out to the kitchen . She sighs smiling to herself .
She walked a mile away , she turned to see no one was coming her way, and she divert from the road that lead to the kitchen to another road, which happen to take her to the cell room , where the male wolf who had commit any crime is being kept. She pulsed immediately she see Daniel , seeing his critical condition anger her , but she manage to put herself together.
“Eaten ?”she asked , after a deep sighs. glancing through his wounded hands .
“Miss me ?”Daniel said , smiling.
“Who wouldn’t miss their big brother.”Daphne whispered into his ears, he smiled, taking her hands.
“So what’s happening, how are you coping?”He asked .
“I’ve been well, just missing you . I promise you will be free soon”She whispered to his ears.
“Guess someone is plotting evil.”He whispered back to her.
“Definitely, not .”she responded, they heard the sound of someone coming close .
She slowly waved him goodbye as she took her step running very fast away as her leg could carry her.
She wanted to share the news of them having a solution with him , but she held back as she was not ready to make his life more difficult.
Running down the road happily, she stumbles on someone and they both end up falling, they row on the floor as they scream while holding onto each other for protection.
After what seemed like a minute both parties stood to their feet . acknowledging each other present, They wanted to say something to each other but they ended up staring deeply at each other . Their eyes which were fixed on each other , they held each other tightly without the knowledge of it .
An intense feeling arose through them as they stared deeply at each other, slowly the other party took his left hand towards her face while holding onto her right hand.
Her hearted skip as she allows the hands to caress her face , feelings of excitement run through her veins . She watches the other parties with love, both were lost in the moment, their eyes burning with desire .
Alpha Ben stood on one spot , he continues to caress her face . aroused at the feeling he forgot where he was at the moment, when he was about to kissed her ;He remembers the text message from the anonymous and there he released himself from her grip as he hastily walk out of her sight .
Convinced that something was wrong somewhere , Daphne hurriedly ran down the road to beta Austin chambers . She walked in without even a proper knock at the door.
“Alone.”Her voice echoes into the house.
“Fair enough, yes”Austin responded, looking at her and he wondered why she had decided to show up unexpectedly.
“Where is he ?”She asked , expecting to see Josiah here.
“In his own chambers , any news .”Austin asked , staring at her .
“He was right, something is definitely wrong with him.”she spoke up, she sat close to Austin.
“You found out so quickly”Austin said, he walked to the chair to get his phone , putting a call through to Alpha Josiah , who picked at the second ring.
They both ended up exchanging hurtful words to each other. He hanged on the call after some times . Daphne stares at him, she wonders how these two were able to cope with each other for this long.
The door cracked open , as Josiah walked in. he looked so cute with his curly hair and The hand suit on .
Austin sighs at his sight , he stops when he sees Daphne seated close to austin. he felt beat awkward since Daphne and himself had not gotten along. he still felt guilty for everything he had done to her.
“Would you just stand there staring, get a seat?”Daphne asked, as he walked slowly to sit beside Austin.
They went silent for some time , until Daphne spoke up .
“You are right, someone is behind this and whoever it may be, has the upper hand against him.”she said, They listen as she narrates her experience with him , leaving no details behind .
“Who could this be,”asked Austin, his eyes pointed towards Josiah. He shrugs weakly.
“Maria is not that evil, is she ?”Daphne question herself
She sighs frustrated at what was happening and how helpless she seems to be Right now. As much as she would love to be free from this, she would also love to know the person behind the sudden change of attitude.
“Maybe we should ask for help from Daniel.”she suggested, watching her silent they were, she is beginning to feel frustrated.
“Bad idea, I don’t think we need their parties. Until this is sought out, let it be between us.”Josiah warned .
Austin nodded his head in affirmation, he was in doubt and since the person knows everything about what is going on on the packs , they can’t risk trusting another person outside their three .
Daphne checks her wrist watch to see that the time is far away , and she stands up to leave .
“I need to serve the club.”she said , exiting their sight .
Both Austin and Josiah were left sitting together, Arriving at the men club . She became irritated immediately she saw some wolf, throwing themself at the handsome guys in the pack. She exhaled going back to her duty post to avoid suspension from anybody .
She went around with doing her duty, such as serving the club . all the male wolf avoid her this time around, they all became scared of her after beating up one of the alpha who had came to visit their pack. None is ready to make an advance towards her , since they all know how short temper and strong she was . Relieve at how they avoid her , she smile to her self . Proud at the fact that , some people in the pack still fears her .
An announcement was made , everyone bowed immediately as the Alpha walked in , accompanied by Maria who stood next to him, while holding onto him.
Daphne also bows in respect, showing the sign of submission with a beautiful smile which envelops her face. Though Maria seems scared of her a bit, she waves the fear from her head.
“Get me and the alpha a reserve chair .”she orderedDaphne Bow as she went to get it .
Alpha Ben and Maria exchange a surprised look at each other , still holding hands as they go to sit .
“What can I offer you?”Daphne asked , Alpha stares at her and her smile , glady his heart.
Seeing her smile and happy after everything was a total show off to Maria.
She soon drops some drinks on their table.
*Enjoy your drink , while I serve the others.”She dropped the drink, She waved at the alpha , and walked towards the crowd with the plate she was holding.
Maria stood to her feet, walking towards her direction . She followed her into the bar room.
“You can show up , stop hiding like a thief .”Maria was shocked that she knew she was there, but she waved it off.
“Your attitude, why the sudden changes ?”she asked.
“Does that also border you ?”she asked instead.
“Why should it border me, I mean I’m the future Luna.”she said , boldly staring at the ring .
“Wearing that , doesn’t make you the Luna yet, You are still in the waitlist “she said, pouring the hot tea on the two cups. She handed one over to Maria who took it from her , she then slowly sipped on the other, resting her back in the kitchen Wall.
“I’m the future Luna, declared by Ben.”she yelled , Daphne smiled at her.
“Not yet , you are still in the Danger zone , meaning you have a 50% chance of losing the title .”she commented, invoking the anger on Maria.
“What the hell..”she was cut short , Daphne covered her mouth with the bread she was holding.
“Yelling won’t help, people would end up thinking their Luna is going crazy “she whisper into her ears. She smile victoriously ,
Leaving Maria behind .
