“How come my lovely daughter doesn’t have a husband? I’m sure you already have a husband. Your friends are married and have children. Are you not interested in boys or men? Do you want me to find a man to be your husband, huh?” taunted Vega’s mom.
“Why do you force me? I don’t want to get married, Mom. I’m looking for a serious man. I don’t want an arranged marriage because I’m afraid it won’t last happily, Mom. Later, a divorce will occur.” Vega explained why she didn’t have a husband who she could bring to her parents’ house.
“Please, Mom! Understand me!” Vega asked her mother to understand her feelings.
“Okay, Vega. But actually, I really want to see you get married before I and my husband die because, you know, we’re already old. You know that, right? We really want to hold and carry our grandchildren like other grandparents. Please understand our feelings!” Vega’s mother stated her feeling.
Vega could only lower her head. Vega was eager to argue with her mother about the matter. But she was sure she would not be able to win against his mother. What happens next is that her mother hurts her. So, she just bowed her head in resignation and let her mother say whatever she wanted.
“Vega, so when are you getting married? Now, it’s time for you to get married, Vega,” complained Vega’s mother.
“Oh, Mom! Until now, I haven’t found a suitable one. How can I marry without a man?” complained Vega.
“Therefore, look for the mediocre ones! Don’t find the perfect one! As a result, it’s extremely difficult for you to find your husband. Nothing in this world is perfect, Vega,” said Vega’s mother.
“Oh! If that’s the problem, I can, but I’m often tired because every day is very busy for me. How will I be able to serve my husband as a wife, Mom?” groaned Vega.
“Find a husband who can understand you well, Vega!” said Vega’s mother.
“Indeed, is there a husband like that? All men are the same! He wants to be financed and served like a king, but he is too lazy to serve his wife like a queen. Who is a man who wants to serve his wife like a queen?” Vega felt that she had never met a man like that.
“There’s a man who can understand you well, Vega.” Vega’s mother felt sure that, in this world, there were still guys like that.
“Yeah, but what is that man’s name?” Vega was confused.
“That’s why you must find him, Vega!” Mother Vega’s advice
“Because I’ve been looking for him, and I can’t find him until now!” groaned Vega once more.
“That’s why you must find it with your eyes, Vega! Don’t use feelings all the time!” Vega’s mother got mad.
“Ah!” Vega sighed after that.
“It’s the thing that makes me lazy to come to this place!” groaned Vega.
“I’m sorry. Mom, I have to go to the hospital right now. It seems that many patients are already waiting for me. I’ve been getting messages from the nurse because they check on the health of my patients.” Vega immediately reasoned that she should leave them while standing up.
“Well then! Okay! Next week, you have to go to this place again. Otherwise, Violeta will pick you up later. You must bring your candidate husband at that time.” Vega’s mother said.
“What, Mom?! Are you serious?!” Vega was very shocked and surprised. Her eyes bulged. Her heart was beating fast. She never imagined that her mother would ask her to find her husband like that.
“Yes, I’m serious! Next week, you have to go to this place again with your candidate husband, Vega!” Vega’s mother repeated her words again.
“Mom, but can’t I do it later?” groaned Vega.
“No. You can’t do it later! I don’t want to hear any of your reasons again. Mom can’t wait to see your future, Vega. I’d like to know who your husband is before I die, Vega. We want to entrust you to him so that later we will be calm when we die,” said Vega’s mother.
“Yes. That’s true,” said Vega’s father.
“Oh, Mom and Dad!” groaned Vega.
“Indeed, when do you want to get married, Vega? If you don’t bring your candidate husband next week, when will you bring your husband for me? Do you want to let me die before you? You’re too busy working. You must have known about it a long time ago! So, you have to bring your candidate next week,” raged Vega’s mother.
“But, Mom, why should I get married? If you want a grandchild, I can get pregnant with whoever I want!” groaned Vega.
“Do you want to die alone without a husband who loves you? You have none if you only get pregnant from someone else when you’re old and your child grows up. Would you like to die alone in a lonely state where your child is as busy as you are? That’s why you must get married.” Vega’s mother explained why Vega must get married.
“And why must you have a child? Don’t you feel pity if your intelligence isn’t passed on to your descendants and just stops at you, Vega?” Vega’s mother continued to give reasons.
“Yes, that’s why you should get married soon. At the very least, you should bring your candidate first next week. The issue of breaking up or not is a matter for later. The important thing is that there’s a candidate husband first.” Indeed, only Vega’s candidate husband was wanted by Vega’s mother.
“Okay, Mom! I’ll bring him later! I’ll go to the hospital first!” Vega immediately asked for permission to leave them because she felt she couldn’t argue with her parents anymore.
“That’s enough! You must be able to find your candidate husband within a week! There’s still time for a week, Vega,” Vega’s father advised immediately.
“Okay, Dad!” Vega immediately walked away from that place. Vega really can’t argue with her parents. She has badly lost her words. She could only accept the words of Vega’s parents and obey them.
