I am his wife

Book:CEO's Sweet Love: Arranged Marriage Published:2024-6-2

Third Person’s POV
Jefferson was very thankful when Celina forgave him. He was very anxious that their fight would last long because it was the first time that they had one. Thinking that his wife had started to get jealous, he promised to himself that he was not going to do anything that would make her feel insecure. Although he couldn’t see the reason why she had to, because, for him, she was perfection.
He went to the office the following day and looked for his cell phone. He wondered where he had forgotten it if he didn’t leave without it. “Sir,” Bree, her secretary, greeted her as she got into his office. He nodded at her while he kept on searching in his drawers, thinking he had placed it there unknowingly.
“Your cell phone,” Bree said and his eyes automatically flew to her. “You left it on my table the other day. I was going to give it back to you yesterday but you didn’t come to work,” she informed him. He started to think whether he had really put it down there or what.
“Thank you,” he said, and dismissed her. Bree was hesitant to leave because she still wanted to talk to him. “Is there anything else?” Jefferson asked, when he noticed that she was not leaving.
“I just want to say thank you for the dinner date the other night and I want you to know that I enjoyed it—-” Bree started saying with a shy smile on her face which made Jefferson’s forehead wrinkle.
“It was a thank you dinner, Bree. Not a dinner date. That’s different, you know that?” he said and, with wide eyes, she nodded. “You may leave now,” he said, and she turned her back. Jefferson was following her with his glare. He started to think that she deliberately didn’t give him back his cell phone so he wouldn’t know when Celina called him.
All his life, he never let any woman do that to him and he planned on firing her if ever he would find out that she actually did what he thought. The last thing he needed was for Celina to think that he was cheating on her. He didn’t want that to happen because he knew that she would never forgive him. He decided to call Daria and talked to her,
“Did you tell Bree to come to you whenever she needed anything from me?” he asked,
“Yes, Sir, from the very beginning.” she replied, “I thought it was OK with you because she kept on doing that even if I was reminding her whenever she did that.”
“Last week was hectic for me because of the surprise that I wanted to give to my wife. You have a lot on your plate so I decided to ask her instead,” he said, and Daria understood.
“Did you and Ma’am Celina fight?” she asked, and he looked at her, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to pry”, she added.
“No, it’s fine. We did fight, but we are OK now.” he said and Daria nodded, smiling. “Did Bree give you my phone yesterday?” he asked again,
“She had your phone yesterday?” she asked back, confused.
“Yeah, and she gave it to me just now,” he answered.
“She should have told me so I could call your home to tell you or ask the messenger to bring it there.” Daria said.
“Yeaah,” Jefferson agreed, “From now on, don’t let her get into my office. You are the only one who has the authority to get in. If she ever needs anything, you provide her with that or if I am needed, you are the one who will come to me,” he instructed,
“Yes, Sir.” She answered attentively and left his office. He started working because he had some things to do because he was absent the other day. But it was worth it because he and Celina reconciled.
Meanwhile, Celina was in her workshop, painting. But she couldn’t focus because she was thinking about her husband and his secretary. She wanted to believe in him, but her jealousy was eating her. The fact that they were working together eating her and she didn’t know what to do. “Argh.. I didn’t know that I was going to be this jealous!” she exclaimed,
She looked at her canvas and surrendered. She knew that she wouldn’t be able to do anything. “I had to go into his office,” she said, and went down to the kitchen and found Susane and Lory. They both smiled when they saw her,
“Please pack a lunch for me and Jefferson,” she said. Both maids looked at each other before smiling,
“You’re going to look into the woman?” Susane asked and she nodded shyly. “It’s OK, there’s nothing wrong with it. Jefferson is your husband and it was natural for you to get jealous,” she added.
“Thanks,”
“Show that woman that she won’t be able to take your husband from you, you got that?” Lory said, and they all laughed. During her stay in the mansion, these two became her best friends. She’s not an outgoing person and stays in the house the whole time. Cindy, her friend, asked her out from time to time and she would agree as Susane and Lory pushed her to get a life out of the mansion.
Celina went to their bedroom after, so she could prepare herself and make sure to make herself beautiful. She didn’t care if Jefferson would find her presence annoying once she was there, as long as she was able to see his secretary. It was 11 and she thought that she would be able to get to the company on time, so she didn’t bother informing Jefferson about her visit, which she thought was unnecessary as well.
Everyone greeted her as soon as she entered the company and she greeted them back with a smile before she got into the elevator. She was about to press the close button when Daria called for a halt and was surprised to see her. “Ma’am Celina, I’m so happy to see you.” she said.
“Same here,” Celina replied and looked at her hand that was holding a food take out.
“Oh, this is for Sir Jefferson.” Daria said, before she could ask and show her the lunch box she had with her. “I guess I will be having an expensive lunch today,” she said, happily, and Celina laughed at that.
“You bet.” she replied exactly as the elevator door opened. They walked to Jeffeson’s office and separated when Daria went to her own table. She looked around looking for Jefferson’s secretary but saw no one, so she entered her husband’s office without knocking.
“Why didn’t you knock?” Bree asked angrily, which made Celina raise her brow. Jefferson was smiling from ear to ear when he saw her and she was happy about that. She looked at his secretary and asked,
“Who are you?” then she went to Jefferson, who stood up and kissed him after she put down the lunch she had with her on Jefferson’s table, who knew that she was not in a good mood when she found his secretary in his office and knew exactly what she would do after. He responded to her kisses the way he responded to her, the kind of kiss that they would surely end up in love making if they were in their house.
“I missed you my Celina,” Jefferson said, smiling as he wiped the side of her lips with his thumb.
“I brought lunch.”
“”I’m sure it’s delicious because Susane and Lory are very good cooks.” he said, smiling.
“As long as you know,” she replied, and they both laughed. Then Jefferson looked at Bree, who was still standing, watching them furiously. But when she noticed that her boss was looking at her, she immediately gave him a sweet smile.
“You’re still there? Don’t you know how to give privacy to others?” he asked, which left her out of her trance.
“Sorry, Sir.” she replied and was about to leave his office, but Celina stopped her,
“Take this with you,” she said, giving her the lunch that was already on Jefferson’s table when she arrived. “Next time, don’t give him lunch anymore. Daria and I will do that for him. Remember, I am Celina and I am his wife.” she added as Bree was taking the food from her hand before she left angrily.
Celina looked at Jefferson, who was also looking at her, amused. “I guess you couldn’t concentrate on your painting so you decided to come here.” he said, and she nodded as she got the lunch from his table and brought it to the receiving area of his office and set the food there. He followed her and sat beside her.
“Let’s eat, I am so hungry,” Celina said after.
“Thank you for coming in here.” Jefferson said, so she looked at him, confused. “I wanted you to do this from time to time, didn’t I tell you about that already?” he added.
“I am busy with work,” she replied,
“Yeah, I get it.” he said, sadly.
“But I am going to make time from here on.” she added, and he looked at her happily. She was smiling too and very happy that he wanted her to be with him all the time. Before, she wasn’t thinking about coming over because it wasn’t clear to her what was going on with them. But now that they had already expressed their feelings towards each other, she realized that it was really fine if she would come to his office uninvited just for the simple reason of seeing him.
They ate the food Celina brought for them and she stayed until it was time for Jefferson to go home. She even helped him with reading a few contracts as he missed doing that the other day because they tried to fix their misunderstanding.
