Third Person’s POV
Jefferson didn’t sleep well the other night because of Celina. He had been watching her as she slept and didn’t manage to look into other things about the company because he had his concentration on her alone.
But even if it was like that, he still managed to wake up early. His body was used to waking up early no matter how late he slept the previous night and that didn’t change even when he lived in Kenom that has 12 hours advanced in time Croas where they live.
He waited for Celina to wake up and while he did that, he went to the bathroom and started taking a bath. When he went out of the bathroom, Celina just woke up and her eyes landed on the bathroom where Jefferson just got out. Her eyes widened when he saw him and screamed.
“Why are you here and why are you naked like that?” Jefferson ignored her and went into the walk-in closet. Then Celina realized that it wasn’t her bedroom but his. She got up from the bed and went to the bathroom immediately to hide her red face from him. She thought she was shameless to scream and asked him when she was the one who was in his room.
There was a new toothbrush so she brushed her teeth while she was there then washed her face. She felt refreshed after what had happened the other day and last night slowly went back into her memory.
She faced palm when she remembered that they had a quickie in her office. She agreed with Jefferson to sleep in the same room. The very reason why she was in his room in that very moment.
“Are you not done yet?” she heard Jefferson ask after he knocked.
“I’ll be out in a minute.” she replied and looked at herself in the mirror. When they went home the other day and went straight to her room, she decided to either give him a hard time with the divorce that he wanted or seduced him for the divorce not to take place. Either way, sleeping in the same room was an advantage for her. With that, she sighed deeply and opened the door only for her face to hit a wall.
‘Wait, I just got out of the bathroom, how can there be a wall here?’ she thought to herself and looked up. She found Jefferson looking at her, smirking. “I already asked Susane and Lory to bring your things here,” he said.
“Since dad and Noris are no longer here, you can eat breakfast in the dining hall wearing that.” he added pointing at her sleepwear and was about to go out but suddenly remembered something.
“What?” she asked when he stopped in front of her,
“I forgot to greet you. Good morning.” he said and pulled her and then she felt his lips into hers. Long and deep, that’s how they kissed each other and Celina has started to get used to it. ‘Does he really want to divorce me?’ she asked herself as he deepened the kiss even more. “Now, that’s even more good in the morning.” he said when they lips parted as he placed his forehead on hers with his eyes closed.
Then someone knocked on the door which made him open his eyes and look at Celina, “Yes?” he said not leaving Celina’s eyes.
“The table is ready and you can have your breakfast now.” Susane answered and he straightened his back after he gave her another long and deep kiss then took Celina’s hand and went to the dining table.
Celina was not herself as she was drowning with the kisses and unexpected feeling Jefferson had been giving her. She didn’t know what had happened and why he was acting that way. Although they had started to agree on sleeping in one room together, she still thought that they would just actually do that.
They were seated on the table and were ready to eat when Celina looked at Jefferson and asked, “What are you doing?” She was dying to know his reasons out of curiosity.
“What?”
“You should know that you had been kissing me and more after your return.”
“What’s wrong with that? You are my wife and it was normal for a married couple to kiss and get intimate.” he replied casually.
“Yes, but we are not a normal couple and you know that.” she reminded him.
“Then what kind of couple are we?” he asked, trying to control his anger and she felt it.
“What do you mean, what kind of couple? You know that we only had an arranged marriage and after a week or two of being married you left.” she replied, this time she showed him that she was angry. There was nothing to be angry about if they had been intimate from the very beginning. But thinking he was doing it just now, three years after, then their marriage is not something she called normal.
“If you didn’t want me to leave, you should have just said it. I didn’t know that my leaving was a big thing for you.” he replied angrily. He couldn’t help but tell her what he thought.
“Why would I stop you? You decide it yourself on the night of our wedding after you meet your girlfriend. You didn’t ask me if it was OK for me to do that even if we agreed on our first meeting to make things and everything work.” She yelled and Jefferson didn’t rebut. He was guilty as charged.
“Look, I know I was wrong when I left that night. But the decision on going to Kenom had been decided even before we got married and has nothing to do with Wendy.” he replied. Now I’m a little calm.
“Then, you still went to her after you left the house.” she told him.
“But not the kind of meeting that you were thinking about.” he rebutted.
“So, if I go to my ex in the middle of the night it will be fine with you as well because it wasn’t the kind of meeting that people may think.” she said, not leaving his gaze.
“Don’t you f****** dare.” he replied.
“Wow, double standard. When it’s you it was fine but not when it’s me.”
“That happened three years ago, why do we need to argue about that?” he asked. He didn’t know that they would end up quarreling after the kiss they just shared in their bedroom. Celina stood up and decided not to eat anymore.
“And where are you going, we haven’t eaten yet.” he asked.
“I lose my appetite.” she replied and made her way to the stairs and went to her bedroom didn’t bother to listen to Jefferson. She was angry, ‘I should have told him about the divorce thing he was talking about with whoever on the phone too.’ she thought.
Celina opened her closet only to find it empty, then Jefferson came. “Everything is in our room already,” he said.
“Can’t you knock?”
“I didn’t need to knock on my own house.” he replied and approached her. “Celina,” he said but she didn’t mind him. She continues opening every drawer checking whether Susane forgot something.
“Fine, what is it that you wanted? Since this is not my house, I think I need to listen to the owner.” she replied and he rolled his eyes thinking they were fighting with another matter now.
“Can’t you listen to me first? Ever since we met you always say what you want and never listen to me. You literally took the words from my mouth. When you entered our room, should I expect you to knock as well?” he said.
“Leave now and let me be, you have to calm yourself first before we talk.”
“I am calm, you’re the one who’s yelling.” Jefferson replied.
“I am calm, you’re the one who has been talking a lot.” she replied and was about to say another word but Jefferson couldn’t take it anymore so she shut her up with his mouth.
“Now, I found a way to shut you up. Just so you know, I like it to be this way too.” he said after, grinning.
