Celina’s POV
He kissed me in front of Noris and Daddy John, I wanted to protest but I saw daddy John smiled. And, did he just winked at me? Just what was wrong with him? Earlier I heard him talking about divorce and that I won’t care. Now, he kissed and winked at me, when we just had a quickie, what game is he trying to play?
After I got out of the car and went to my room, I locked my door thinking he would follow me. But he didn’t. I was st**** enough to think that after that quickie, he will be closer just like I thought on our first time.
I rushed to my room because I was shy, who wouldn’t when they know that you had not been contacting for three years and when he came back he’ll f*** you in your office behind the closed door? Anyone will feel shy. It’s not just me.
He on the other hand was very experienced and as though nothing happened. He didn’t come to me and went to his room as well. I’m sure that he slept well too and that angered me more. Everything happened in a single day. I even forget about Xia. We were supposed to meet but because I had no intention of going out of my room, I decided to call her and cancel our meeting. She said OK so I was relieved.
Now, this id**, I feel like he was mocking me when he was doing whatever he wanted to do.
“Dad, I think I am going to go back to Kenom.” he said and then I looked at him immediately and found him looking at me as well. He smiled when he caught me and I looked away. I feel like my face was red now because of what happened.
He may have thought that I was too concerned for him and that I didn’t want him to leave. “Why?” Daddy John asked.
“Just for some special matters that I need to do. But it won’t happen until next month.” he replied. I continued eating and did not look at him anymore. But he was such a tease because he moved his chair really close to mine and stretched his arms behind me. “I am going to bring Celina as well.” he added as he played his fingers on my cheek making a circling motion.
“That’s good, and make sure that you already have my grandchild when you come back.” Daddy John replied happily.
“We will try that,” the id** replied so I looked at him. Just what is he talking about? Is he out of his mind?
“Don’t say that, Dad will only hope for it.” Noris replied. When I looked at him, he had his head down busy eating his food. “We all know that you were sleeping in separate rooms,” he added. Just how did he know about that? I don’t remember telling him that. I looked at Jefferson’s face and I saw it hardened. I don’t know what was going on between them but I already had a feeling that they were not on good terms.
“I am away so she can sleep wherever she wants inside our house. She will only miss me when she sleeps in our bedroom and remembers our nights there together.” he replied and I coughed. Why did he have to make me remember that night? “Right, my Celina?” he added, looking at me, smiling. He was holding my waist and it was slightly tight but not enough to hurt me.
“Hmm,” I replied and I saw him smile widened. He knew that he won that.
“Now that you’re back, make sure that you sleep in the same room. Celina, I know how difficult Jefferson was and I know you too. I thought that it would be hard for you two but I am happy that you are getting along well.” Daddy John said, “Jefferson, I’m happy that you went straight to her when you arrived. It means that you really missed her a lot.” Daddy John added.
“So much, dad. You just don’t know how much.” he replied, smiling at Daddy John. He looked really happy as though everything we were talking about was natural for us.
“I think I will have to leave.” Noris said after but Jefferson didn’t bother answering him.
“You haven’t done with your food yet.” I said trying to stop him just to show that he belongs in the family. Then I feel Jefferson’s hand tighten on my waist. I looked at him and his face now looks dark. Did I do something wrong?
“He wanted to leave already, just let him.” he said and then went back to his food.
“Alright Noris, Don’t forget to report to Jefferson on Monday in the company.” Daddy John said instead.
“Bye, Celina.” He said before he turned around and got out of the dining area. We continued eating and Jefferson held me in my waist or hand from time to time. I realized that he was trying to show it to Daddy John so I just let him. Maybe like me, he didn’t want him to worry in our marriage.
When Jefferson left, Daddy John talked to me and said that he was feeling guilty for marrying us. He just hopes that in the end, we will end up a real couple that will help and share each other’s happiness and burden.
Daddy John may have talked to Jefferson as well when he went to Kenom one time. He may have given Jefferson a piece of advice and told him to make things work for us.
“You’re not eating Celina.” he said that brought me out of my deep thinking. I looked at him and he was looking at me as well. “What are you thinking?” he asked and I noticed Daddy John looked at me as well.
“Nothing, I am not thinking about anything.” I replied and ate my food. It was delicious so I had to enjoy it and decided not to think about the id** beside me. I will only let myself be confused with all his actions contradicting what I overheard with his conversation over the phone.
Daddy John was finished eating. He went here with Noris to welcome Jefferson back. “I think you two needed time to be together, so I am going to leave you two alone. Go now and I will let Susane do the cleaning.” Daddy John said and Jefferson stood up.
“Thank you dad, then we will go to our room now.” he replied and pulled me up after he took my hand. I can’t do anything but follow him.
