Third Person’s POV
Celina woke up and found herself beside Jefferson who was still asleep. She couldn’t believe that they did it. She got up from the bed slowly as Jefferson was hugging her. She didn’t want him to wake up as she felt shy about what had happened. ‘Just how many times did we do it that my body feels sore and in pain?’ she asked herself as she went out of Jefferson’s bedroom and rushed to her room.
She didn’t think that she can still clean up herself so she decided to continue her sleep. While doing so, she was thinking about what she was going to tell Jefferson when they saw each other in the morning.
Thinking about him leaving made her feel anxious as to whether he will still leave or stay now that they had done something they thought they shouldn’t. Because she felt really tired, she couldn’t help but fall asleep as she looked forward to the next day when they saw each other.
The next morning, Jefferson woke up and was looking for Celina beside him. He got up and looked for her and got disappointed because he found her sleeping in her room. He was thinking of not going anymore but because he thought Celina still wanted them to sleep separately, he decided to leave.
He went back to his bedroom and started preparing for his flight. He knew that Celina was tired as they made love repeatedly. That’s why he was expecting that they will be talking about it and settle their relationship.
His flight was really early so hurried himself as he thought that it would be a waste if he got late when Celina wasn’t even interested in talking to him. The driver was waiting for him already when he went to the mansion’s entrance door. He was sure that he would be missing the night he spent with Celina and even if it happened that way, he was still happy to know that he was the first man in her life.
Celina woke up a little distraught and she remembered what had happened and that she was back in her bedroom. She wondered if Jefferson left or he didn’t so they would be able to talk. She got up from her bed and took a bath and still felt a little sore.
While in the bathroom, she was thinking on how she will greet Jefferson because she feels shy and she didn’t think if she will be able to look at him. She was afraid that he would mock her instead because she gave in to him.
Before she finished her bath, she shook her head and decided not to think about negative thoughts. She decided to give their marriage a chance when she was wearing her office clothes. And when she thought that she looked good, she went down to the dining hall to have her breakfast.
She sat on her usual seat and the maid placed her food. “Why are you only putting one plate? How about Jefferson?” she asked.
“Sir Jefferson already left. He was in a hurry because he was running late already.” the maid replied and she was stunned for a moment. “Ma’am Celina, are you alright?” the maid asked and she smiled at her. She didn’t want her to think that I was disappointed knowing Jefferson left without waking her up.
‘That id**, I even asked the maid for him.’ Celina told herself furiously. She ate her breakfast and asked the driver to send her to the office and started her day as the OIC.
The years had passed and Celina had been very busy with work and she didn’t rest at all and only went home when she was really tired. She didn’t want to go home and stayed there while she thought of Jefferson and how he was doing.
“Ma’am Celina, these are the complaints that we received from the bank’s clients.” Daria said as she handed her the report. She took it and read it immediately. There has been a decline in their number of clients after her three years of being the OIC.
“Thank you, Daria. Please tell the marketing team that we will be having a meeting later after lunch.” she said and then Daria left her office. The first year was an easy task for her, she understands everything about the business and she can handle them perfectly.
The board that had been doing everything they could to oust her failed many times and she was stronger than ever. She never asked or called Jefferson the whole time and tried her best to settle and solve all the company problems all by herself. She even warned Daria not to call Jefferson because she had a feeling that if she did not do that, Daria would surely inform him of what was happening in the company.
Now that she knew that Jefferson was coming back, she didn’t want him to tell her that she had done nothing. She was so furious as well when the problem occurred just when he was about to come back. She wanted to transfer everything to Jefferson when everything was solved so she had to do something about it, the soonest possible time.
“I think everyone knows why we are here. Although there has been no decline with our profit, our number of clients declined drastically. I wanted everyone to focus on capturing the peoples heart and encourage them to have business with us.” Celina said.
“The last time we did the marketing was not as successful as our previous campaign.” the marketing head said.
“You know already that it didn’t go that well, what are you planning to do about it? Find the difference between our previous and current campaign. Of course we can’t use the old one anymore so see to it that you will be able to provide me with your best idea.” she told them and they all nodded. “We will have our next meeting the day after tomorrow and see to it that you have something to show me. These are the complaints that we get from some of our clients. Use this to your advantage.” she added and handed them the folder that Daria gave her.
While she was waiting for their next meeting, she helped them to think of a good campaign that may help them and get motivation or ideas. She wanted it to finish soon as she was worried about Jefferson’s homecoming. “Arghh, why do I have to think about that id** when he left me here after that night?’ she asked herself and continued working.
“These are all good. Thank you very much, I thought that the time was too short for you to think of anything.” she said when she saw all the campaign lists the marketing department has done.
“We won’t need anyone for these ads because it was all graphics. I know someone who can do this in no time and we can air it sooner than we scheduled.” the marketing head said.
“I like the idea, it was very realistic. See to it that you get someone who is good with this. Although the presentation was already good, I believe that when someone with expertise will do it, it will be even more believable and encouraging.” she said and their meeting was dismissed.
After a month of airing the ads to every platform, tv’s and billboards. their clients skyrocketed. The complaints that had been flooded with were now with appreciation of their clients as they did what they advertised and that was for their client’s satisfaction.
Celina sighed in relief as she sat on her table. She was closing her eyes and started to feel tired because of non-stop work just to ensure that everything would be OK when Jefferson went back. “Feeling tired?” The man’s voice echoed in her ears and she couldn’t forget whose voice it was.
Slowly she opened her eyes and found Jefferson leaning on her office door with his arms crossed over his chest. She wanted to run to him but she remembered that he left her so she closed her eyes again and tried to ease the tension that was building up on her head. Then she opened her eyes and looked at Jefferson,
“You’re back,” she said with a stoic face.
