Jane’s POV
After dinner, we all went home happily.
Reaching home when Marco turned to leave for his bedroom, and I turned to go to my bedroom, all of a sudden, his Mom stopped us and said, “You guys live in a different room?”
I looked at Marco, not knowing what to reply to his Mom, thankfully, he came to my rescue and said, “Mom, we have decided to respect each other’s privacy before marriage.”
I also wanted Jane to know me well before we proceed in our relationship.”
His Mom smiled and said, nodding her head, “Ok, do whatever you guys like, but I want a grandchild soon.”
Hearing his Mom’s words, I felt so shy; my face turned red as a tomato. I immediately turned around and left for my bedroom, avoiding facing them all.
Days passed very fast, and it was already our wedding day; all were so busy with preparations that we didn’t even realize, and it was already our wedding day.
I got up with a knock on my bedroom door. I went to open the door, and there Marco’s Mom was standing, smiling brightly.
After I opened the door, she happily entered my room and said, “Sweetheart, today is your wedding, and you are still sleeping. My little sleepyhead daughter got up and started preparing to be the bride, the bride of my son.”
I was feeling very nervous; his Mom and Dad were so happy; they were jumping with happiness.
Soon I was standing in front of the mirror wearing the wedding gown, looking at myself in the mirror at my Mum’s words, and in my mind, she used to say, “My little angel will be the most beautiful bride in the world.”
“I wish I could see my baby in a wedding gown” as her words rang in my mind, my eyes filled with tears, I murmured, “Mum, can you see me, see your little angel is wearing the wedding gown today.”
Marco’s Mom walked in the room and saw me, she ran towards me and hugged me tightly and said, “Sweetheart, I know you are missing your Mom, and I cannot fill her place in your heart but, Jane, you are not less than my daughter, if Macro does not keeps you happy, you will have us, your parents backing you up.”
I hugged her tightly and cried hard; I was badly missing my Mum, today I am getting married, but I don’t have any of my family members, but Marco’s Mom’s words gave me a lot of relief.
As I was hugging her and crying, his Dad came and said, “Your Groom is waiting for you, impatiently.”
I cleaned my face, did a little touch up of my makeup, and wanted to walk out of the room, but again my foot stopped because of pain thinking who will walk me to the aisle.
As if his Dad read my mind and said, “Sweetheart, your Dad is here to take you, you are our daughter, not daughter-in-law so that you will walk the aisle with your Dad.”
I really felt I must have done some good deeds in my past life, so I got such good parents-in-law.
He took my hands in his hands, and we started walking towards the aisle, but the moment I entered the church, I frowned because there were only a few people in the church.
His Dad leaned towards me and said, “Marco didn’t want a big fat wedding. I hope you won’t mind it?”
I smiled a little and nodded, why would I mind. I always wanted a very simple wedding.
My eyes fell on Marco, he was standing on the altar waiting for me with a genuine smile, and that smile was so beautiful.
I walked towards him, his Dad gave my hand, in his hands and said, “Mr. Marco Walter, don’t forget she is my daughter now if you do not cherish her I will take her away.”
He smiled and nodded, taking my hands in his hands.
The Priest started saying our vows; I feel like I can’t hear anything apart from when Priest asked, “Do you take Jane Gilbert as your lawful wedded wife?” and he said, looking in my eyes, “I do.”
And next was my turn, and Priest asked, “Do you take Marco Walter as you lawful wedded husband,” and I said, “I do.”
He smiled brightly; Priest said to Marco, “You may kiss the bride.”
He leaned towards my ears slowly and said huskily, “Welcome to hell, my angel,” kissing on my cheeks.
Jane’s POV
I was shocked to hell; I wondered whether I heard him right, did he really say anything like this, because his facial expression was normal as if he didn’t say such a thing.
I waved off this thought, assuring myself that I must have heard it wrong, but my heart was uneasy for some unknown reason.
He was greeting the guests usually and smiling at me and introducing them to them. We did our first dance together, the way he held me during the dance; our bodies were almost sticking to each other.
I had never been so close to him in the past,
Apart from his birthday when he took away my first kiss.
Soon the function came to an end, and we were heading home.
But he stopped before entering the car and said to his parents, “Mom, Dad, I have prepared the other villa for you, the driver will take you there.”
His Mom frowned and asked in a mocking tone, “But why can’t we go to your villa? You are such an ungrateful child; you just got married, and you are already driving away your parents.”
After this, she wiped her invisible tears.
His Dad and I were smiling, seeing her acting.
Without turning back, he said, “Mom, today is my wedding night, and you are quite old now, do you want to hear weird noises all night?”
