Chapter 882 Then Don’t Regret it

Averi was taken aback by River’s actions and looked down at her own finger. Although she had bought the ring herself, she had never worn it before. She never expected to wear it in this situation.
River said, “Everything that happened today was unexpected.”
Whether it was seeing the message that made him think Averi didn’t want to marry him or Averi bringing the ring to him now and telling him it was her prepared ring, all of these things surprised River.
“I never thought about how to propose before,” River continued. “Maybe in my eyes, being together with you is a natural thing that doesn’t need any special arrangements. It’s my negligence.”
Averi rarely heard so many words from River, especially at a time like this.
“I’m not someone who cares about ceremony,” Averi said as she looked up at River.
Buying this ring wasn’t for those reasons. She just thought the ring was very beautiful. If she didn’t buy it at that time, then there would be no chance later on.
As for proposing marriage itself, Averi didn’t think it was so important. Whether River proposed to her or if she proposed to him instead didn’t matter much as long as they loved each other. That was what really mattered.
However, River said, “I just think you should have what other women have.”
He hadn’t thought carefully enough before but he realized his mistake now and planned on giving Averi enough ceremony in the future.
Averi knew his personality well. Once he decided something, he wouldn’t easily change his mind.
So instead of discussing further about their proposal plan, Averi changed topic and asked, “Are you planning on making me stand outside forever?”
Although no one would come over here, it still felt strange standing outside like this. River chuckled lowly and pulled her into his arms.
Averi leaned in front of him, looked up at him and said, “So you’re not angry now?”
River finally understood why Averi came over here – just trying to comfort him. He suddenly felt helpless, wondering what kind of image he had in Averi’s mind that made her think he was so petty.
However, since she came specifically to coax him, he suddenly wanted to tease her and see what kind of way she would use to coax him.
River said, “I’m not angry, just a little bit disappointed.” He deliberately lowered his voice, which made Averi feel uneasy.
She put her hands around River’s neck and said, “What do you have to do to not feel disappointed?”
In fact, Averi’s attire suggested something very specific.
However, after hearing her question, River still intentionally raised his eyebrows and said, “Do whatever I want?”
Averi nodded and leaned in close to River’s ear, whispering softly, “Tonight, it’s all up to you.”
The hot breath she exhaled fell on River’s ear, bringing a surge of electricity.
River’s hand tightened around Averi’s waist, and he bent his lips, saying, “Then you better not regret it.”
