Azalea looked up when she heard the voice and met Leonard’s assistant’s gaze in the car.
She stopped crying once he got out of the car. “Miss Clark, I’ve been looking for you everywhere!”
Azalea lowered her head frantically when she saw him, but he said warmly, “Miss Clark, get in the car.”
She didn’t know if Leonard’s assistant knew about the murder she’d committed, so she hesitated for a moment before getting into the car.
He then gave her a bottle of water and some food.
Azalea was famished because she hadn’t eaten anything for a few days, so she wolfed down her food desperately.
Leonard’s assistant had been observing Azalea all this time, and he said once she finished eating, “I know what you’ve done! The police are now looking for you everywhere.”
Azalea’s expression was filled with panic. “Are you going to hand me over to the police?”
“No, I’m here to help you.”
“How can you do that?” Azalea asked in frustration. “I won’t be able to escape the law because I committed murder.”
Leonard’s assistant sighed. “Miss Clark, have you ever wondered why you ended up like this?”
“Why? Why did this happen to me?” Azalea muttered.
“You would be a glamorous star now if it weren’t for Michael. You would’ve lived in a luxurious mansion with countless fans who worship you, but you lost everything because of Michael. He was the one who made you like this, right?”
Azalea thought for a moment. “Yes! It’s all his fault, he’s the one who forced me to end up like this!”
The assistant nodded with satisfaction. “Miss Clark, do you know what’s going on with Michael now? He began to pursue Abbie again after he drove you away, and I don’t think it’ll be long before he marries her.”
“How is this possible? How could she agree to marry Michael? She hates Michael so much, so why would she reconcile with him? Even if she wants to, I’m sure her family will not agree to it.”
“It’s because Abbie gave birth to Michael’s child, Emma. Since they have a child together, they’re connected by blood and the Clark family has no choice but to accept it.”

The assistant made a throat-slitting gesture and said, “This way, you’ll get to drag someone down with you and stop Abbie and Michael from ever getting back together!”
“No, I can’t get close to him. He has bodyguards, and I’m involved in a murder case now. Michael may also be looking for me, so I would just fall into his trap if I look for him now.”
“I can help you get close to Michael as long as you want to get revenge! Miss Clark, do you want to do this?”
