Abbie was stunned as well when she heard this. She guessed that there was more to this matter when Azalea came to cause a ruckus in the morning, but she didn’t expect it to be so shocking.
Didn’t Michael betray her to be with Azalea? Since that was the case, why did he do this to Azalea?
Anna nodded. “I’m sure! I heard from Raymond that Michael was just pretending to be with Azalea. She thought that she could turn over after giving birth to his child, but she didn’t know that MIchael didn’t sleep with her at all and he asked someone to take his place. Azalea and the Gurney family had been kept in the dark all along. Azalea’s biological father, Francis, is as shameless as her and he even drugged Michael after he refused to marry Azalea. He did this all because he wanted Azalea and her child to take over Michael’s assets.”
Helen took a deep breath. “Why is he so vicious? So is Michael completely infertile now?”
“No, Michael knew about his schemes in advance and plotted against the Gurney family. The Gurney family and the Davis Group are finished now that things have become like this!”
Anna looked extremely pleased. “I just saw Meadow on my way back and she looked pathetic. I heard that Wayne drove her out of the house again. She used to be so arrogant and she would always throw shade at everyone, but it seems like she’s lost all of her pride.”
However, Helen didn’t think so. “Didn’t you say that Michael plotted against the Gurney family? In that case, the Davis family should be fine and Meadow will still be as arrogant as she used to be.”
“It’s not like that. I heard from Raymond that the Davis family will perish as well! William and Michael have bought over the entire company and they’ll rename it as well.”
“Really?” Helen was extremely surprised. “How can Wayne agree to this?”
“He doesn’t have a say in this because Michael doesn’t listen to his opinions at all. By the way, this Michael is really vicious and he even schemed against his own grandfather. It’s fortunate that Abbie…”
Anna immediately swallowed her words after meeting Helen’s gaze. Then, she switched topics and said, “I heard from Raymond that William and Michael will acquire the Gurney family as well. Their company will no longer exist.”
Helen sighed when she heard that. “The Gurney family brought it upon themselves and they’re just having a taste of their own medicine. If they controlled themselves and stopped Evelyn from doing whatever she wanted, they would not have offended William to such an extent. William treats Valeria extremely well and he would never let her suffer. It’s hard to find such a good man like him, unlike some people who have no regard for morals. They don’t even know how to repay the kindness of the people who raised them and their personal life is a mess as well. Not only that, but they had a child out of wedlock. How can someone like that be a lifelong partner?”
Abbie immediately stood up when she realized that Helen was talking about Leonard. “Emma is awake. I’ll go up and take a look!”
Helen sighed as she watched Abbie go upstairs. “I can’t be at ease until she breaks up with Leonard.”
“Auntie, don’t worry. The day will come!” Anna comforted her.
By the time Valeria woke up, all the members of the Saunders family had arrived at the Howard family mansion.
Gavin, Raymond, and his parents all sat together in the living room while William carefully led Valeria down the stairs. Just then, she felt a little embarrassed when she saw her parents.
She greeted all of them one by one and her parents were exceptionally happy. Natalie got up and hugged her daughter. “Valeria, congratulations! Your father and I were so happy to hear your good news. We also told your grandfather that we hope you give birth to a daughter this time.”
Valeria pursed her lips and smiled. “I also want to, but it’s not up to us to decide.”
“It doesn’t matter even if you give birth to a boy, you can just get pregnant again.” Gavin laughed happily while he hugged Santhos.
“Grandpa!” Valeria glared at him.
Gavin didn’t care at all. “Why are you glaring at me? It’s not like we can’t afford to raise more children, right?”
“Grandpa is right. We have no problem raising her children, but it’s too hard for Valeria! I don’t want her to go through so much pain.” William answered with a smile.
Hayden also said, “Yes, Valeria went through so many hardships! I have to reward her well for doing so much for the Howard family!”
Gavin touched Santhos’ little face and said, “What are you talking about? Anyway, there are so many helpers in your family and you can just ask them to take care of her children. If you can’t, you can find a few…”
“Dad!” Archer interrupted Gavin, who was stunned for a moment before he realized that he had made a slip of the tongue. William and Hayden both felt sorry for Valeria, but her grandfather kept asking her to have a baby. Wasn’t he treating his granddaughter as if she was a machine?
Gavin smiled awkwardly and said, “I mean… You and Valeria love each other so much, and both of you have good genes. You should have a few more children while you still can, and it’s best if you can have a pair of sons and daughters.”
Just then, Gavin immediately knew that he had said something wrong when he saw Archer and Natalie staring at him. He stood up with Santhos in his arms and said, “I’ll bring you to the garden to play, does Cade want to come along?”
Cade was playing with his toys in Archer’s arms. When he heard Mr. Saunders call his name, he simply glanced at him and shook his head.
“I’m not going! I don’t want to play with Santhos!”
“Why don’t you want to play with your brother?” Gavin asked in confusion.
Cade answered loudly, “He stole my wife!”
It turned out that they still couldn’t get through this hurdle. Valeria and William shook their heads, and everyone burst out in laughter.
After that, Gavin took Santhos to the garden while Raymond brought Cade away. Then, Archer asked about the Gurney family when William led Valeria to her seat, “I only found out about the Gurney family today. Do you need any funds?”
“No, I don’t need your money.” William refused.
“When are you going to do it?” Archer asked again.
“Tomorrow!”
“Okay, just tell me if you need extra funds.” Archer really admired his son-in-law. “You and Michael’s plan has been going on for a long time, right?”
Valeria didn’t know what had happened at all, so she looked at William with a confused look on her face when she heard this. “Didn’t you fall out with Michael? What did you guys plan this time?”
“I was going to explain this matter to you in the evening.” William held Valeria’s hand with a smile and squeezed it gently. Then, he looked at Archer and said with a smile, “It wasn’t a long time at all, and it took only about two months.”
“No way!” Archer looked at Natalie in surprise, who also had a shocked expression on her face.
Wasn’t it unbelievable that they could bring down such a big company like the Gurney family in less than two months?
