Francis’s heart sank when Michael stretched out two fingers. He knew that the loss must be very serious, but he didn’t expect it to be this bad. He had invested so much money, but only one-tenth of it was left. Francis’ vision started to blur and he staggered forwards. Frederick had the same thought, so he asked in shock, “There’s 200 million left?”
Michael shook his head. “No! There’s only 2 million left!”
“What!? Why is it so little?” Frederick suddenly stood up.
“Why are you so agitated?” Michael snorted. “Did you forget about your losses before last night? The crash last night made things even worse! I’m at a loss too and I don’t think our funds can be recovered!”
“You… you…” Francis was so angry that he stood up all of a sudden and pointed at Michael with trembling lips. Michael looked at him coldly with sarcasm in his eyes as if he he knew that Francis couldn’t do anything to him.
Francis was so enraged that he spat out a mouthful of blood and fell backwards.
Frederick was scared out of his wits when he saw this, so he immediately shouted for the gueards to send Francis to the hospital.
Michael waved his hand and a few people in white coats came in to carry Francis away.
Since Michael had already hired a few doctors to be on standby. He had already known that such a thing would happen. Frederick glared at Michael and said, “Michael, killing someone is a major crime. Isn’t it too much to do this to Francis? Anyway, you and Miss Clark also have a child…”
“Stop! I will never deal with someone without a reason and I’m not someone who would scheme against others! This old b*stard started it when he drugged my red wine because he wants to cut off my bloodline to take over my assets. Isn’t his scheme more vicious than mine?” Michael sneered and asked.
Frederick was stunned and realized that Francis had indeed made the first move.
Michael looked at him coldly. “If it weren’t for his viciousness, I wouldn’t have thought of dealing with him like this. Speaking of the red wine, weren’t you the one that prepared it? You’re rotten at the core as well, so how dare you question me? I haven’t dealt with you yet. Besides, I have nothing to do with the child that Azalea gave birth to. If I actually had a child with that vicious b*tch, I might as well dig my own grave.”
“You… you…” Frederick was so angry that he was trembling, but Michael laughed arrogantly and said, “I’ve just started but all of you are already at your wits’ end. The Gurney family will go bankrupt soon and you’ll wish you were dead. You should probably keep your doctor on speed dial to save yourselves!”
Frederick gasped. “What did you say? Will the Gurney family really go bankrupt?!”
“What do you think? Do you think the Gurney family’s existence is that great?”
Frederick felt a chilling stab of fear when he saw Michael’s expression. Since Michael dared to tell him this so openly, the Gurney family must be finished.
He couldn’t even imagine how Francis will react when he woke up. Would he die of a heart attack?
They wouldn’t have schemed against Michael if they knew this would happen.
However, they couldn’t turn back time and it was too late to change anything now.
Meanwhile, in the Howard family. Valeria felt sick when she woke up in the morning, so William accompanied her to the hospital for a medical examination. Meanwhile, Hayden and Lucas were tasked with taking care of Cade and Santhos.
The two kids played for a while after they had their breakfast. Just then, Cade threw his paper aeroplane to the side and said to Hayden, “Grandpa, I want to play with my wife!”
Hayden was bewildered and he asked, “What wife?”
“My beautiful wife!” Cade gestured with his little hands. “She’s pretty!”
Santhos was focused on playing with his wooden blocks, but he immediately became excited when he heard what Cade had said. “Grandpa, let’s go! My wife!”
“She’s mine!” Cade shouted at Santhos fiercely when he heard this. Santhos was usually gentle, but he started to become angry as well. “Mine!”
As he spoke, he suddenly reached out and pushed Cade. The latter was usually the more dominant twin, so he didn’t expect that Santhos would hit him first. He was pushed back by Santhos until he almost fell down.
He was stunned for a moment, but rushed over angrily to make a move. Hayden and Lucas quickly stopped the two little boys. “Don’t fight or I’ll spank you!”
Cade had never lost to Santhos before, so he pouted and screamed as his face turned red with anger.
Hayden and Lucas were amused when they saw this, but they had to separate the two kids from each other first. Both of them carried one of the twins and walked away. Lucas brought Santhos out to play, but Cade was still angry over his loss. He kicked his toys furiously and started to hit Hayden.
William’s face darkened when he came in with Valeria. “Hey, what are you doing? Who told you to hurt grandpa like this?”
Cade became afraid after seeing William’s serious face. Since his father was so terrifying, he could only rely on his mother. After he wiped his eyes, he looked at Valeria and began to cry again.
William saw through his trick at a glance. “Are you planning to use your mother again? Dream on!”
Hayden’s heart ached when Cade cried even louder because Valeria didn’t coax him. He wanted to coax him Cade, but William stopped him. “Dad, just leave him. He ended up like this because you’ve been spoiling him. If he can act like this when he’s still so young, he’ll become even worse when he grows up. Leave him alone.”
Hayden’s heart ached. “He doesn’t know anything because he’s a child Don’t be so heartless!”
“I don’t think that’s the case. I’m sure that he understands and he knows to take advantage of others.”
William said when he still saw how reluctant Hayden was, “That’s enough, I have good news for you.”
He reached out to hold Valeria, who glared at him and lowered her head shyly.
Hayden’s face immediately broke into a smile when he saw that. “Valeria, are you pregnant?”
“Yes!” William nodded with certainty.
“That’s great! Haha!” Hayden laughed happily.
Cade was still pretending to cry, but he realized that all of them were completely ignoring him and Hayden even laughed out loud.
He felt so wronged that he really burst out in furious tears.
He opened his mouth and let out an ear-splitting wail. Valeria was distressed and she wanted to coax him, but William held her back and said, “Just stay where you are! I’ll do it!”
Hayden also said, “Don’t worry about Cade and Santhos from now on. You just have to take good care of yourself. I’m really too happy right now! I’ll treat you to a nice meal today, so why don’t you call your in-laws here?”
“As long as you’re happy!” William said as he walked to Cade’s side and squatted down. “Are you still crying? I’ll only hug you once you stop!”
After Cade looked at William’s serious face, he sniffed a few times and didn’t dare to cry anymore. Then, he looked at William with teary ears.
Once William stretched out his hands, Cade obediently threw himself into his father’s arms.
After Hayden saw that Cade had stopped making a fuss, he happily went to make a phone call.
