Evelyn had secretly met William several times at night in the past month.
Leonard was actually the one who would plan the meeting, but Evelyn was kept in the dark and she didn’t even realize that she wasn’t meeting William at all.
Leonard played along with her since she had given herself to him. He specially arranged all kinds of props for Evelyn, who didn’t refuse his requests either. She would wear black silk stockings for him and roleplay to meet his various requirements. Leonard thoroughly enjoyed himself and Evelyn found it interesting as well.

“It doesn’t matter, we can find something to entertain ourselves with,” Leonard ordered his assistant. “Book a hot spring and take some of your men with you, I’ll let them experience how sleeping with an heiress feels like.”
The assistant was stunned for a moment and he doubted what Leonard was trying to do.
Leonard saw that his assistant had remained silent. “What’s wrong? Didn’t you hear what I said? Or are you scared because you don’t have to guts to have sex with Evelyn?”
“We’ll dare to do anything with you here.” The assistant smiled and immediately went to arrange the location.
Leonard typed out a message and sent it to Evelyn. “I’m free tonight. I’ll ask someone to book the place and I’ll ask them to send you a location later!”
Evelyn was ecstatic when she saw Leonard’s reply and immediately began to dress up.
Leonard sent a location at six o’clock in the evening, and Evelyn immediately drove to the hot spring resort.

Evelyn felt relaxed as she hugged Leonard’s neck. “Babe, we’ve been together for so long. When are you going to give me an official title?”
A trace of disgust flashed across Leonard’s eyes, but he laughed dryly and said, “Let’s wait a little longer.”
“How long will I need to wait?” Evelyn continued to ask.

However, Leonard thought internally, “I would be insane to stay with you.”

“Would you marry me if I were a poor man?” Leonard asked again.
Evelyn wouldn’t be as enamoured as she was now if William was poor, but she couldn’t say that. She smiled and said, “I’ve always loved you and I’m willing to marry you no matter your circumstances.”
“I couldn’t tell that you’re quite loyal.” Leonard put on a fake smile. “I’m different from you because my relationship and career are indispensable to me. I’m not afraid to tell you that I didn’t marry Valeria because I love her, but it’s because she’s the daughter of the Saunders family. You should know very well what her family gave me after I marry her, right? Can you even give me the same amount of benefits?”
How could Evelyn do that? Francis had given Michael her company as a dowry, and she wasn’t the only daughter in the Gurney family. She could not even give William one-tenth of the benefits that Valeria had given him.
Evelyn felt depressed. “Will you refuse to marry me just because I can’t bring you any benefits?”
“That’s right.”
Evelyn was extremely upset and disappointed. Had she just been daydreaming all this time?
