Why did the birth test that Azalea was talking about sound like a DNA test?
When Michael was still a lawyer, he had also helped some people to win court cases about their children.
After hearing this, his attitude immediately changed, and he did not enter the study. Instead, he turned around and went to the living room and invited Azalea to sit down. “I thought that Frederick had come to deliver you some tonics on purpose, but he brought you to do a pregnancy test instead. Tell me about the test in detail.”
When Azalea saw that Michael was willing to talk to her, she told him about the pregnancy test happily.
Michael had an emotionless expression, but he had already made a guess secretly. Francis was probably worried that the child in Azalea’s belly had nothing to do with him, so he coaxed Azalea to do the DNA test.
Well, Francis got suspicious easily instead. Luckily, he had learnt about this issue when he came back today. If not, things would have gotten troublesome.
After that, Michael immediately took out his mobile phone and sent a message to his assistant. “Ask someone to follow Frederick and see what he’s planning to do.”
Once Michael had sent the message, he continued to chat with Azalea calmly. It was the first time that Azalea had talked to Michael peacefully since she was pregnant. She was so happy that she started talking to Michael about their baby until Meadow went home.
When Meadow saw Michael talking with Azalea in the living room, she was unhappy.
In the past, she wanted to see Azalea and Michael getting along well with each other, but now she didn’t want to see it at all. Hence, Meadow walked to the sofa with a fake smile and sat down. “Wow! You’re always busy, but now, you’re finally back!”
“Hey! Can’t you talk to me nicely?” Michael frowned and questioned.
“I want to do so too, but what have you done? You already have a child, and you’ve also brought her home. Can’t you just stay at home honestly without spreading all those foul rumours?”
Michael chuckled when he heard this. Was Meadow going crazy?
At this thought, he continued to ignore Meadow, but she continued to ask him, “I heard from Mrs. Smith that she met you a few days ago at the sports ground. You flirted with a few coquettish b*tches there shamelessly! Is that true?”
Michael knew what Meadow was trying to do. She just deliberately mentioned this to stimulate Azalea. However, he was not in the mood to play along with Meadow’s tricks today.
He had to figure out why Frederick took Azalea to do a check-up today. Michael stood up and said impatiently, “Yes, yes, whatever Mrs. Smith said it’s true. You don’t need to ask me anything too as it has nothing to do with you!”
Michael didn’t care about Meadow and headed to the study. Hence, Meadow glared at Azalea before complaining, “You’re useless! Why didn’t you ask him about that? Are you thinking of getting along with him the same way in the future too?”
On the other hand, Azalea was also unhappy. After all, she finally had a chance to say so much to Michael, and the latter was gentle today too. In fact, she wanted to show off her skills so that Michael would stay here tonight, but Meadow, that b*tch had ruined her plans! Meadow had brought up a topic that they were evading and interrupted her and Michael’s time together.
After that, Michael went to the study to find and didn’t bother staying with the Davis family once he had found what he wanted. However, Azalea followed him out while calling, “Michael, why don’t you stay for dinner?”
Michael replied patiently, “I still have other things to do.”
“What are you so busy with that you don’t have time for dinner? Michael, you’re always outside, so you should pay more attention to your health…”
Before Azalea could finish her words of concern, Michael had already started his car and sped away. The smoke from his car sprayed all over Azalea’s face, and she touched her face while feeling upset.
Once Michael had left the Davis family’s house for a bit, his assistant called and said, “I found Frederick. He went to the paternity centre and submitted a DNA sample. The results of the DNA test will be out tomorrow.”
Hah! This was exactly what Michael had expected. He sneered and said, “Look for the staff there. Tomorrow, get them to submit a fake report to Frederick. Also, get someone to go to Francis’ company and change the ownership of the company. I want him to suffer in silence!”
Frederick returned from the paternity centre to the Gurney family’s home. Once he got off the car, he heard people quarrelling in the living room.
Evelyn’s voice was very loud, and she didn’t bother hiding her anger. “Grandpa, why did you do this? Why did you hand over my company to that b*tch, Azalea? What do you think about me? Am I even less important than an illegitimate daughter to you?”
Evelyn knew that Francis had given her company, which was supposed to be her dowry, to Michael. However, Frederick did not want to get involved in this, and he wanted to sneak away.
Unfortunately, a servant noticed him and came up to greet him. “Sir, you came back at the right time! Francis and Miss Evelyn are arguing, and they smashed a lot of things! We don’t even dare to go out now, so please go out and advise them!”
After hearing this, Frederick shook his head and reluctantly entered the living room. The living room was a mess. Francis was frowning, and he looked unhappy, while Evelyn’s face was covered with tears.
When Evelyn saw that Frederick was back, she still didn’t stop throwing tantrums. She continued to question Francis, “Grandpa, say something! Why are you doing this to me?”
Francis looked helpless she replied, “Evelyn, it’s not what you think. I didn’t give that company to Azalea. I made a deal with Michael.”

Francis hadn’t successfully made a deal with Michael yet, so he obviously wouldn’t say anything. Instead, he replied, “I will tell you about this in detail in the future.”

Francis was unhappy when he saw Evelyn’s aggressive manner made Francis unhappy. He said in a harsh tone, “Even though you want to make a fuss, you should know your limits! I worked hard to start my company. I’m not dead yet, so I can give the company to whoever I want! What authority do you have to question me?”
Evelyn was so angry that she started fuming. “Grandpa, you know my temper. You’re my grandfather, so I can’t do anything to you, but Azalea is different. I won’t show mercy to anyone who snatched away my things!”
Bah! Evelyn actually threatened him so openly. Hence, Francis immediately showed his real temper and growled, “What do you want? I’m warning you, stop messing around! If I find out that you’ve fallen in love with someone you shouldn’t have, don’t blame me for being ruthless! After all, the Gurney family won’t change even if I kick you!”
After hearing this, Evelyn smashed a cup and went upstairs while crying. Meanwhile, Frederick called the servants to clean up the living room. Francis got up angrily and said, “Urgh! It’s all their fault! All of them only think about themselves!”
Frederick said with a smile, “Mr. Gurney, please calm down. She just can’t accept the situation, and it’ll be fine after a few days.”
“Nah, this isn’t something that will change after a few days. Go and find out who told these news to Evelyn.”
Frederick agreed quickly, but he thought to himself, “Who else could it be? Well, it’s probably Camila or Evelyn’s parents. After all, Francis asked me to investigate this, so I’m sure he has a guess too, right?”
