Richard pulled Anna into the car quickly and slammed the door shut. Anna straightened her neck and was not afraid at all. “Bro, I know that you are very angry and that you might wanna scold me to vent your anger. But I don’t care and I won’t apologize even if you do. I just wanted to hit the crap out of that bitch without any reason.”
Richard shook his head. “Who said that I was going to scold you? Anna, I know you hit her to avenge Abbie, so I won’t punish you. Instead, I even gotta reward you.”
“Reward me? But isn’t that Davis guy gonna sue me? Are you not mad that I created more troubles for you?”
“I do, but it’s two different things. I punish and reward clearly. So I will reward you for avenging Abbie, but punish you for being reckless. These two will be separated.”
“Bro, could you please don’t reward me or punish me? Just cancel both out.”
“No! If I don’t punish you, you won’t remember!” Richard refused directly. “You never think about the consequences. You have always been so impulsive, which is even more excessive than Abbie. If I don’t punish you, you will get into more trouble in the future.”
“I didn’t cause any trouble and have always been a good girl.”
“Don’t try to defend yourself. If William hadn’t stopped you last time, Michael would have sued you to jail. This time, you hurt Azalea again. Michael saw it with his own eyes, so he wouldn’t let it go like this. I’ll stand up for you for now but what about the next time? I’m not an immortal, and I don’t have the ability to see through everything. If there’s a slight mistake, it might hurt you. Do you understand?”
“Isn’t he just gonna sue me? Then let him! I won’t go to jail anyway, since you’re gonna bail me out either way, right?”
“It’s not about going to jail. I’m just afraid that he’ll make the situation a huge deal… and affect your reputation. You’re still so young and have a long way to go. Your reputation is very important, clear?”
As Richard said that, the car window was knocked. He rolled down the window, and Raymond stood beside the car. “I have asked someone to delete the surveillance record. Even if Michael wants to sue Ms. Taylor, he has no evidence.”
“Okay! I forgot about it indeed. Thank you!” Richard thanked him.
Anna didn’t like Raymond at first, but when she saw that Raymond had helped her clean up the mess, she thanked him too.
Her gratitude was sincere, and Raymond also felt it. Afraid that she might feel burdened, he comforted her again, “Don’t worry, Ms. Taylor. I will keep an eye on this matter, and I will never let anything happen to you.”
Azalea was sent to the hospital because of her injury and Michael followed. The doctor was checking Azalea inside the ward, while he waited outside.
Azalea’s face was injured, and her hair was pulled out a little. In order to make herself look very serious, she bribed the doctor and told him that she was from the Gurney family. She asked the doctor to report that her situation was more severe. She wanted the doctor to specially mention that there might be a possible chance of her baby being delivered earlier.
The doctor received the bribes and exaggerated what Azalea had told him. He told Michael that the child was not very stable now and needed to be hospitalized for observation. Michael believed the doctor’s words.
Azalea was sent to the ward, and Michael followed her. The doctor gave Azalea the medication for preventing miscarriage. Michael frowned when he saw Azalea taking an infusion and he was really not feeling it.
If he had known that the plan would be so troublesome, he would have stopped. Now everything was messed up and he felt terrible.
Azalea saw Michael’s gloomy face and knew that he was impatient. She cried and said to Michael, “Michael, I really want to tell you something important today. I just found out that I’ve discovered my identity.”
“Your background? You can’t be the daughter of some family, can you?” Michael asked sarcastically.
Azalea immediately took over. “Michael, do you know that I’m Francis’ daughter? I was actually very shocked by this as well. After learning the truth, the first person I thought of was you…”
Michael interrupted Azalea. “Don’t, I’m not interested in knowing about you for now. Get to the bottom of it, okay? We’re not lovers, we’re enemies! No matter who you are, you can’t change the fact that I hate you.”
Azalea thought that Michael was interested in her identity, but when she saw that Michael was still as stubborn as before, she felt embarrassed.
After a moment of silence, she said, “I know you are blaming me, but what happened to Abbie really has nothing to do with me. Michael, no matter how much you hate me, I have your child now. Please consider it for the sake of our child.”
“For the sake of the child?” Michael said with a faint smile, “Well, enlighten me please with your plan.”
“I didn’t think my identity was good enough for you before, and I didn’t dare to force you if you didn’t wanna get married. But now it’s different as I’m from the Gurney family. It’s not shameful for you to marry me anymore. The Gurney family has a lot of business investment, and we can cooperate with the Davis family at that time.”
“Haha! Get married? You’re dreaming! What did the Gurney family give you? Are you the real eldest daughter of the Gurney family? You’re just an illegitimate daughter. Where do you get your identity from, huh?”
Michael showed no mercy at all. “I never thought about getting married. Even if I wanted to get married, I wouldn’t marry an illegitimate daughter like you. It’s not difficult for me to find a woman with a clean background!”
Michael’s humiliation made Azalea’s face flush red. “What are you going to do with that child then? We have a child together!”

Hearing this, Azalea turned pale with fright. “Michael, you can’t treat me and our child like this! Our child is already so big now, he should be able to hear you. Don’t you think it’s too cruel for him? He has a life too!”
