William didn’t even look at Jacelyn. The bodyguards behind him went forward and stopped her.
When Jacelyn saw William, she thought she could approach him. But she didn’t expect to be stopped by his bodyguards. So she raised her voice and shouted, “Mr. Howard! I am the person involved in the car accident that day. There’s something I want to talk to you about…”
The bodyguard did not give Jacelyn a chance to continue and covered Jacelyn’s mouth straight up.
With the children in William’s arms, William and Valeria walked past her without stopping.

“That’s odd. Isn’t Bobby always with him? Why isn’t he around twice?”

In the Floyd family, Fandrey sat by the fish pond while holding fish feed. He looked pretty troubled.
Sammuel walked over quickly. “Mr. Floyd! Why are you still here feeding fish? Didn’t you say that you’re going to visit Ms. Floyd later?”
Fandrey came to his senses and put down the fish feed. He then stood up and said, “I’ve forgotten all about it!”
Sammuel picked up the fish food that Fandrey had placed by the fish pond. “Madam has been rushing me saying that Mr. Floyd and Ms. Poland are already there.”
“I see!” Fandrey stopped in his tracks. “Have you prepared everything?”
“Everything’s ready. Don’t worry!”
Fandrey still didn’t leave. He looked at Sammuel and asked, “There’s something I can’t figure out. Is that scum really dead?”
Sammuel paused for a moment. “Why are you asking about him, Mr. Floyd?”
“I’m not the one asking, but William was. I had already forgotten about that scum, but William suddenly mentioned him and caught me off guard. Are you sure he is really dead?”
Sammuel hesitated for a moment before replying, “Mr. Floyd, I’m not sure if he’s really dead. You should know what happened back then. He was pursued by the police after what he did. His yacht overturned, and he fell into the sea. After one week of search and rescue, there was no trace of him, so a death report was issued. We can only confirm his death if we see his corpse. I haven’t seen him again after that incident, but since his corpse had not been found, I’m not so sure if he is really dead.”
“So he might be alive? Since he isn’t dead, why didn’t he come back?” asked Fandrey.
“I suppose he doesn’t dare to come back. After all, he committed such a great crime. If he comes back, the police will surely be after him. Moreover, he has done you so much wrong. If I were him, I would surely hide in a deserted place for the rest of my life.”
Fandrey heaved a heavy sigh when he heard that. “But William asked about him, and you know William’s capabilities. There must be something wrong if he asked about it.”
“Then why don’t you ask Mr. Howard what’s going on?”
“When I… I heard William ask about him, I was too ashamed to even mention that scum!”
Sammuel was silent for a moment. “Mr. Floyd, walls have ears. If he is still alive, and if Mr. Howard is already looking into this, we won’t be able to hide what happened back then.”

Madelyn was absent-minded all day. She didn’t believe that Angel would be so desperate to the point of having a relationship with an old man like Gurmisran.
She wished that she was mistaken, but she had to find out the truth behind this.
So Madelyn became more cautious. After watching Angel go back to her room in the evening, she went back to her room too. However, she didn’t sleep but was listening carefully to the things happening next door.
At one o’clock in the morning, she heard footsteps.
