Chapter 1496 No Rules

Book:That Stranger Lying Beside Me Published:2024-6-1

Angel suddenly doubted Gurmisran’s purpose of coming here. Did she catch onto something?
Gurmisran had a guilty conscience, but he forced a smile and said, “Miss, you’re thinking too much. I was just sympthizing with you because your life right now is quite hard. I just want you to live a better life. Anyway, you can choose not to move in if you think I have any ill intentions/”
Angel stared at Gurmisran again. She had just asked such a question because she suddenly felt uneasy, but she also felt a being overly cautious when she heard his explanation.
Gurmisran was just one of Ornard’s lackeys and she was considered his boss since she was Ornard’s daughter. He would not dare to have any bad thoughts about her.
She had nothing to worry about, so she immediately dialed Ornard’s number.
“Dad, I want to move out! I can’t stand the place I’m living in right now. It’s small, shabby, and the environment is poor. I really can’t live here.”
Ornard was very unhappy when he heard Angel’s words. “What’s wrong with you? Why do you keep making trouble once every few days? Can’t you behave yourself?”
“I also want to stay calm, but I can’t. How would you feel if you had to move in here after staying in a luxurious villa with servants to serve you? Why don’t you try to be in my shoes? If you live here, I can guarantee that you won’t be able to stay for an hour.” Angel retorted angrily.
“Is your place that bad? I’m surprised. Paisley is also a rich young lady, but she has never complained about it before. Why can’t you live there? Is it because you have higher standards than Paisley?”
Angel was even angrier, so she raised her voice and said, “Paisley’s apartment is obviously much more luxurious than mine. My apartment is not on the same level as hers and even the car she gave me is shabby. She’s deliberately abused me!”
“What? Are you still a child? With your character, it’s a miracle that you didn’t cause Paisley any trouble. You would have quarrelled with her a long time ago if she dared to abuse you, so how could you tolerate her until now?”
Angel was too lazy to talk about it anymore when she saw that Ornard did not care about her feelings at all. “Anyway, I don’t want to live with Paisley. I’ll find a new place to live.”
“I’m so busy that I don’t have time to arrange a place for you. You’ll have to find a place to live if you move out right now, so are you sure you can do that?” Ornard asked rudely.
“I don’t have to do it myself. I heard that Gurmisran has a house here, so why don’t you ask him to let me move in?”
“No!” Ornard refused firmly. “Gurmisran works under me. If you live in his house, the Floyd family will definitely be suspicious and it’ll be a mess if they keep tabs on you.”
“I’ll move there secretly and I don’t even have to pay for it. Who would know that I’m living in Gurmisran’s villa?”
Ornard firmly disagreed. “No way! There’s no room for discussion!”
“If you aren’t willing to help me, I’ll go and find Gurmisran myself!” Angel said as she hung up the phone.
“What the hell? He abandoned me and now he’s treating me like this. Does he really think that he’s my father? I wouldn’t have acknowledged him as my father if I hadn’t been desperate. Speaking of which, he is the cause of my current situation. If it weren’t for him, I would still be the heiress of the Floyd family.” Angel scolded indignantly.
Gurmisran sneered in his heart when he looked at Angel’s unreasonable behaviour. It was so easy to control such a useless person like her in his hands.
He seemed to have foreseen his success in taking over the Laban family after Angel gives birth to his child. The smile on Gurmisran’s face deepened. “Miss, shall we go and see the house now?”
“Okay! Let’s go now!”
Gurmisran took Angel to his villa and she was quite happy with it, so she decided to move in immediately.
When Angel moved into Gurmisran’s house that night, Madelyn followed her as well.
Madelyn suddenly moved into such a luxurious villa after living in the small apartment, so she still didn’t quite believe it.
She felt like she was in a dream, so she asked Angel curiously, “Miss, why did Mr. Knight suddenly treat us so well?”
“It’s none of your business. Are you snooping around? Let me tell you, you can’t tell anyone that we’re living here and I’ll kill you if the Floyd family finds out.”
“Don’t worry, miss. I can prove my loyalty to you and I will never reveal anything about you.” Madelyn promised.
Although Angel didn’t like her, Madelyn had taken care of her during this period of time. She snorted and said, “Gurmisran said that he would arrange servants to take care of us, so you don’t have to work so hard in the future. Just keep an eye on the servants.”
Madelyn grinned when she heard this because her favourite thing to do was to manage people. She enjoyed the power of making people obey her, so she immediately agreed. “Okay, I will listen to you and teach those servants well.”
Angel was also tired, so she yawned and said, “Well, go to your room and have a rest. Give me some snacks for breakfast tomorrow morning.”
Madelyn agreed and went out, but she remembered something when she reached the door. She turned her head and asked Angel, “Will we move out again after this?”
“Of course not!” Angel glared at Madelyn. “We will stay here until I give birth.”
“Do we have to move out after that?” This meant that they could only stay in such a nice place for a few months, so Madelyn felt a bit reluctant. “Why do we have to move out? I don’t think we can find a place better than this.”
“Are you out of your mind? Do you think I’m that incapable?” Angel was angry again when she heard Madelyn’s words. “Since I’m going to give birth to the grandchild of the Clark family, I have to move into their house. The Clark family’s villa is a hundred times better than this and I would be out of my mind to continue staying here.”
Madelyn didn’t dare to speak again after she was scolded and left obediently.
The next morning, in the Davis family.
Michael and Meadow saw Azalea sitting at the dining table boldly after they entered the dining hall.
Their eyes flashed with disgust as soon as they saw her.
When Azalea saw this, she greeted them as if nothing had happened. “Good morning, Grandpa, Mom! The breakfast is ready, so please take a seat!”
Wayne frowned when he heard how Azalea had addressed them. Meadow said first, “How can someone as pathetic as you call us that? Do you right to do so?”
