Evelyn was really happy and she suddenly had a wonderful idea the moment Francis told her that he was coming to B City.
She didn’t need to ask Thomas to ask Valeria out. Instead, she could use his phone to send a text message to Valeria. Evelyn could then take the opportunity to make trouble because Valeria would definitely agree when she saw the text.
Meanwhile, William arrived at the airport with his bodyguards and he called Valeria while he was walking. “I’m going to board in half an hour and I’ll be home at nine o’clock at night.”
Valeria was very surprised. “Are you coming back now? Have you done everything?”
“Almost.”
“What about Abbie? Why didn’t she answer my calls? What’s the situation with her now?”
“She… she lost her phone.” He could only make up a lie.

“How can I ignore her? She is my best friend and she stayed by my side when my relationship with you was falling apart. I should help her now that she is in trouble.”
Valeria’s heart ached for Abbie. “Honey, she’s pregnant now. We can’t let the Clark family lock her up like this. Why don’t you persuade Richard again? I can call Richard if your method fails.”
William’s voice was choked up. “It’s useless to say anything because they’re angry now. I’ll talk to them later.”
Valeria sighed and said, “Shouldn’t you secretly give her a mobile phone? It’s also convenient for me to contact her as well. I stayed in contact with her this way when Richard didn’t allow her to be with Michael.”

Valeria added, “Mom, can you and my dad try to persuade them if you can? I don’t want to see Abbie sad.”
“Got it.” Natalie sighed slightly. “Is William coming back?”
“Yes, he said he would arrive at night.”
“That’s good. Take care of yourself and we’ll talk about it when William comes back.”
Valeria agreed and hung up, but she still felt extremely upset.
Evelyn had been making preparations to see Valeria and she had to plan this carefully. First of all, she couldn’t show up in person and she had to find someone to do this for her.
