Richard was suddenly enlightened. “Oh damn! Why didn’t I think of that! My wife sure is smart!”
“For fuck’s sake, who’s your wife?”
Richard said with a cheeky smile, “Chill out! Let me ask Azalea what she is doing first.”
While Richard was talking, his bodyguard who was keeping an eye on Azalea, called him. “Sir, Azalea just went to the airport for a security check. Before that, she went to a jewelry store and got a custom-made dupe diamond ring.”
“Oh? What kind of ring did she order?” Richard asked.
“A very big diamond ring.”
“Huh?” Richard was stunned. Why would Azalea do that? A fake diamond ring did not even have value!
What the hell was she doing with such a large ring?
Richard then continued, “Where’s her destination?”
“New York!”
It seemed that Azalea was chasing after Michael. Then why didn’t she follow Michael’s first flight but fall behind for a day? And why did she get a dupe diamond ring beforehand?
When Richard thought of this, the bodyguard added, “I asked the shop assistant of the jewelry shop. She brought the model herself, and I have gotten it. Do you wanna have a look?”
“Nope. Take the model to check in B City and see where the pattern comes from.”
On the other side, Michael took Abbie out of the villa and reached out to Abbie. “Give me your phone!”
“Why?” Abbie asked. Michael grabbed the phone from Abbie’s hand and turned it off with one hand holding the steering wheel. “Turn it off for a while. You can switch it on later.”
Abbie was unhappy. “Why are you doing that? My mom won’t be able to contact me this way!”
“Abbie, I can finally see you today and I don’t want anyone to bother us. Let’s enjoy our alone time, hm?”
Abbie couldn’t bring herself to reject him so she said, “Alright then. But you have to send me home by dinner, or else mom would worry!”
“Don’t worry, I won’t make things difficult for you!” Michael then sped up.
When he slowed down, the car drove into the lush forest. Abbie looked curiously at the surrounding trees and asked, “Where are we? Michael, are you going to sell me off?”
“Seriously? I’d rather sell myself than to sell you off!” Michael replied with a smile.
Abbie snorted. “You haven’t told me where we are going yet. Just now, you said that you would bring me to a coffee date. This place doesn’t seem like a place for coffee either.”
“Let’s get down to business first. After that, I’ll get you coffee, or even better, I’ll make it myself!”
“Business? Michael, don’t keep me guessing. What are you doing?” Abbie said. Michael’s car passed through the shade and stopped at the gate of a villa.
Abbie got out of the car and looked at the villa. “It’s a nice place! But why did you bring me here? Do you have a friend here?”
“Of course not!”
“No? Then is that a commercial district?” Abbie made another guess.
“No, guess again.”
“Guess what? Wait, Michael, is this villa yours?”
Michael nodded and shook his head. “Not only mine, but also yours!”
“Huh? Is this the villa you bought? Aren’t you broke? This villa costs a lot of money, doesn’t it?”
“No matter how broke I am, I’ve gotta prepare a house for our marriage, right? Or else, where would my wife live?” Michael answered with a smile.
“What? Did you buy this to marry me?” Abbie stopped and looked at Michael. “But you didn’t even propose! Besides, even if you did, I have not said yes, have I?”
“Then can I propose now?”
“Michael, are you copying William? What the hell is this?
William brought Valeria to a beach villa and proposed with drones that fly her diamond ring down, what about you? You brought me here so secretly to propose? This is embarrassing!”
“Then what should I do? I’m not as rich as William, and I’m a broke guy!”
“Is this the matter of wealth? You don’t even have flowers and you wanna propose? Wow, how romantic of you, huh!”
“Sorry, Abbie! Please give me another chance! Let’s go in!” Michael grabbed Abbie’s hand and took her into the villa.
Entering the villa, the fragrant of flowers filled the air. “It smells so good!”
After Abbie finished speaking, she saw the scene in the living room and her eyes immediately widened.
“Oh my God!” The big living room of the villa was filled with roses!
The roses were arranged into many patterns. There were big heart-shaped ones, and the center of them was Michael and Abbie’s names.
Abbie’s eyes were dazzled by the roses in the room as she stared at them. Michael took out a bunch of flowers and handed them to her. “Here, for you!”
She took the flowers and said, “When did you prepare this?”
“When I came here, I customized the flowers according to the time. It was a little rushed but Abbie… Do you like the gift I gave you?”
“I love it!” Abbie nodded, feeling as if she was about to cry.
“I have another gift for you!” Michael took out the box of proposal ring that he had prepared for a long time and opened it. He knelt on one knee and said, “Abbie, I love you! I want to be with you for the rest of my life! Will you marry me?”
“Do I even have a choice?” Abbie asked.
“No, you don’t! You can only marry me no matter what!”
“You meanie! Although you’re so naughty, I still can’t reject you, can I?”
Abbie reached out her finger and Michael helped her put on the ring. “Thank you for being willing to marry me! I swear I will be nice to you!”
“Stop being sentimental or I’m gonna cry!” Abbie reached out to hold Michael. “Do you know that I have never wanted to marry you as I don’t think it’s possible, but I’ve been waiting for you for a long time!”
“I’m sorry! It’s all my fault!”
“Don’t apologize! Don’t you think you have something more important to do now?”
Abbie smiled at Michael. He smiled back and lowered his head. Then, the two began to kiss sweetly.
