Azalea was most worried that Deborah would not like her because of Emily. Now that even Deborah, who she disliked Emily the most, loved her so much, it would be easier for her to win over the others.
She was always perceptive since young. Azalea was confident that she would be able to get on the good side of everyone in the Floyd family and get them to answer to her every whim.
From now on, she would start showing them what she was made of.
As Azalea thought this, she only said nice things to Deborah which delighted Deborah very much.
Deborah had always felt guilty towards Azalea. When she saw how obedient and sweet Azalea was, Deborah couldn’t help liking her.
She felt that Azalea was a thousand times better than that wretched Angel. As they had let Azalea suffer through too much, now that she has returned, they must treat her extra well to make up for everything Azalea had been through.
After lunch, Deborah kindly let Azalea go to her room to rest. As Azalea lay on the big soft bed after going back to her room, she rolled around happily. The expensive big bed was extremely comfortable, and she felt her good days were only starting.
However, she accidentally touched her broken finger. Looking at the finger that was missing the tip, Azalea’s good mood was affected.
She had to hurry up and settle the matter with Michael. So she sat up and sent a message to Meadow. “Aunt Meadow, have you had lunch?”
“Yes, I have. Have you eaten, Azalea?” Meadow replied instantly.
“Yes. I ate together with my grandma.”
“Where were your grandfather and father? Why didn’t they have lunch with you?” Meadow asked.
“They’re busy with work and didn’t have the time to come back.”
Meadow frowned when she saw Azalea’s message. Azalea’s return to the Floyd family should be a big deal. What work was so important that Fandrey and Callum couldn’t spare the time to spend time with Azalea?
Could it be that Fandrey and Callum didn’t like Azalea? With this thought, Meadow probed, “Is your grandma nice to you?”
“My grandma is very nice to me. She said that she would bring me shopping in a few days, and she would also get Valeria to come along! Even though Valeria is pregnant, she still has to come and pick out stuff for me. I’m happy thinking about this.” Azalea was feeling triumphant.
Meadow was relieved when she saw Azalea’s reply. “That’s great! Azalea, your good days are finally here! I wish you good luck!”
“Thank you, Aunt Meadow! If not for your help, I wouldn’t be able to come home so soon. I will remember your kindness to me! Oh right, Aunt Meadow. Does Michael know about the company’s situation?”
“We’ve already told him. He doesn’t quite believe that the company would be in this situation. So he went to the office to check the accounts.”
Azalea’s heart jumped. “Aunt Meadow, Michael is so smart. Could he find out anything?”
“It won’t happen. His older brothers indeed have ulterior motives, and it’s true that they have transferred away the money. It’s also true that they have set up a new company that will threaten the Davis family. Michael wouldn’t be able to find out anything.”
Meadow was afraid that Azalea would worry so she added, “I heard from Wayne that your dad called him just now, and they would meet up today to discuss about you and Michael. With your dad and Wayne around, what could Michael do? He will surely get back together with you!”
Azalea was relieved when she heard that. Now she only needed to wait for Michael to approach her.
Deborah went back to her room after Azalea went back to hers. As Fandrey and Callum didn’t come back for lunch then, Azalea must be pretty disappointed. So Deborah planned to throw Azalea a welcoming dinner and also give her some gifts. Of course, the gifts wouldn’t only be from Deborah.
To help Azalea feel the warmth of her family, Callum and Fandrey had to give her gifts as well. Deborah felt the need to remind Fandrey that he had given Valeria a valuable gift when they first met, and Azalea was present at that time. Now the gift for Azalea must not be less valuable than Valeria’s gift. If not, Azalea would surely be disheartened.
Deborah then called Fandrey, “I plan to throw Azalea a welcoming dinner tonight!”
“Didn’t you already welcome her in the afternoon? Fandrey asked coldly.
“How was that a welcoming meal? You and Callum weren’t at home, and only Azalea and I ate together. Although she didn’t say anything, she must be pretty disappointed with you two.”
Deborah sighed and said, “She is still Callum’s child. She has suffered so much throughout the years, yet you are still treating her like this. What would she feel? So besides the welcoming dinner with the whole family, I also plan to give her a surprise.”
“A surprise? What surprise do you want to give her?”
“I thought we should all prepare a gift for Azalea! The gifts must be valuable.”
“Valuable?” Fandrey snorted. Was Azalea worthy of it? But now wasn’t the time to reveal Azalea’s identity. So Fandrey said indifferently, “I don’t have any valuable gifts for her.”
“How not? I remember you bought a few diamonds a while back, and there are even pink ones. You could give those diamonds to Azalea as a gift.”
Deborah didn’t know that Fandrey had already given the diamonds he bought last time to Braelynn, and she was hoping that Fandrey would give the diamonds to Azalea. Fandrey was impatient when he heard that. “What diamonds? Don’t you know we need to keep a low profile now? How many times have I told you? If we don’t get rid of the Labans, we cannot disclose her identity. Are you trying to let the Labans find out about her identity and kill her by making such a scene?”
“We will give her the gifts at home, and ask her to keep secret. Everyone in the house are trustworthy. How could the Labans find out so easily?”
“Don’t you know that it’s difficult to know a person’s heart? Did you forget what happened with Veronica? Didn’t you always say that she was a good person? But what about now? Do you still think she’s a good person? We have so many servants in the house. Can you see through their hearts and know if they were bought over by Veronica?”
“Well…” Fandrey’s whole lecture made Deborah feel that she in the wrong. “So does this mean we should not care about her and not prepare anything for her? How miserable would Azalea feel?”
“Let’s wait a little longer? Let’s talk about it later!”
“Will you and Callum come back for tonight’s welcoming dinner?”
“I don’t have the time. I have to meet a client tonight. As for Callum, he has other things to do.”
Deborah was extremely disappointed when she heard that Fandrey and Callum wouldn’t be coming back at night.
Wouldn’t the welcoming dinner that she promised to Azalea be unfulfilled again?

Why don’t she invite Valeria and Michael to dinner? Then she could introduce Azalea to them and help them get closer.
