Chapter 1249 Blocked At The Door

Book:That Stranger Lying Beside Me Published:2024-6-1

Richard’s words made William frown, as he felt that Richard’s request was not nice. Just as he was about to refuse Richard, Valeria placed her hands on his shoulder as she was awakened. She also heard the conversation between Richard and William and nodded as well.
Valeria meant that William should help Richard. William asked with his lips, “Are you sure?”
Valeria nodded and said, “Yes!”
Of course, William wouldn’t dare refuse his wife’s request. “Alright then,” he said, “If Michael really called to ask about this, I’ll do as you said.”
Hanging up the phone, William looked at Valeria and sighed. “Honey, you should know that it is possible to break Abbie and Michael apart, right?”
“As long as Michael doesn’t care about Azalea’s identity as the eldest daughter of the Floyd family, he will never break up with her!” Valeria answered firmly.
“I don’t think Michael is that kind of person. Aren’t you guys a little mean by doing this?”
“Dear, chill out! Didn’t Richard tell you what to do just now? Actually, this matters because if Michael is loyal, he wouldn’t even be interested to know about Azalea’s real identity, and he won’t call. So, it’s different, you know!”
“I know, but I still don’t think this is a good idea!”
“Are you gonna disobey your wife then?”
“No, of course not! I already said okay to Richard!”
“That’s more like it!” Valeria leaned into William’s arms and kissed his chin comfortingly. “Nothing will happen, as we did it for everyone’s good.”
In the hospital late at night, Michael quietly leaned against the wall of the operating room while staring at the door with the lights up there being lit up.
Meadow and Stanty stood not far from him, looking at the door of the operating room as well.
Wayne’s sudden attack was beyond everyone’s expectations. As time went by, the door of the operating room was still closed tightly and no one knew what was going on inside. Michael was annoyed and began to worry about Wayne. He turned around several times in the same place, and then Meadow came over.
“Michael, what happen to your grandpa?”
“Stop annoying me!” Michael waved his hands and said.
“How can you speak to your mother this way?” Stanty came foward. “This is not a small issue, and we should get to the bottom of this! If something really happens, we have to inform your brothers too!”
“What will happen? Are you guys wishing for something bad to happen to grandpa?” Michael was not feeling good, so his words were very harsh.
“Of course not! We’re just trying to be rational! He talked to you and this happened, so we have to know what really occurred just now! It’s fine if it’s nothing, but what if there is? We’ve gotta explain to the public!”
“Grandpa will be fine! We don’t need to explain it to anyone!” Michael clenched his fists and said firmly.
“What do you mean by that? You still have two brothers, and they will come to you if they know grandpa has fallen ill. Don’t forget that they’ve never liked you, so if they blame this on you, you’re never gonna be able to explain yourself! Me and your dad gotta know what you said to grandpa and think of a way to handle this!”
“I said that nothing will happen to him! Just go away!” Michael impatiently retorted. He walked away and continued to stare at the door of the operating room.
Meadow glanced at Stanty while he shook his head at Meadow. The two of them then walked a little further away.
They began to talk in a low voice. As they were too far away, Michael couldn’t hear what they were saying, nor did he have the mood to pay attention to them at all.
Although Stanty and Meadow were his biological parents, they were indispensable to Michael. Wayne was actually the most important person in his life. His growth could not be left by Wayne’s teachings and help. To Michael, Wayne was much more important than his own parents.
After waiting outside the operating room for a long time, the door of the operating room finally opened.
Michael quickly walked over. “How is my grandfather?”
“He was sent here in time so we were able to save him. His vital signs are stable now!” The doctor replied.
“That’s good!” Michael was finally relieved. After thanking the doctor, he followed the nurse and pushed Wayne to the senior ward.
Meadow and Stanty followed behind. Michael glanced at Meadow and Stanty. “I’ll stay with grandpa. You guys can leave first.”
“Can you handle alone?” Stanty asked. “Why don’t I arrange for two servants to come over?”
Seeing Meadow and Stanty made Michael irritated. Although he could not hear what they were saying just now, but their facial expressions alone were enough for Michael to guess what they were whispering about.
They must be talking about how the properties and inheritance should be divided if Wayne did not make it.
How fucked up! Michael really hated the both of them and didn’t want to spare any more glances. “What the hell are you talking about? Just go and leave!”
Meadow and Stanty stopped talking and left the ward immediately. Michael sat down on the sofa in the ward and looked at Wayne, who was lying on the bed.
The next morning, at the Floyd family’s villa.
Angel planned the perfect time and took Madelyn back to the Floyd family. Unlike usual, the security guard who was always respectful to her did not move when he saw her car.
How could Angel not know what was going on when she saw this scene? She had been thinking about it for half a night last night and decided that she couldn’t delay anymore. Now, the only person who could help her was Deborah. She had to ask Deborah for help!
Angel got out of the car and walked to the gate of the villa. When there was still some distance left, the security guard quickly stop her. “Please stop right there?”
“Are you kidding me? Can’t you recognize me?” Angel raised her voice and said, “I’m being stopped at the door of my house, how funny!”
The security guard remained poker faced. “Of course I know you, but Mr. Floyd told me that without his permission, you can’t enter!”
Callum was serious. Angel was unhappy and had no other choice. Since she was here, she couldn’t just go back again. She then yelled loudly, “Grandma! Grandma!”
