Chapter 1206 Charity Account

Book:That Stranger Lying Beside Me Published:2024-6-1

After Paisley and Ornard got their marriage license, Jaxon got news of it and reported it. Marcus then informed Pierre after receiving the report.
Pierre then sent a snapshot of Ornard and Paisley’s marriage license to Angel.
Angel was furious when she saw Ornard and Paisley’s marriage license and called Pierre immediately, “Where did you get this from? Are you sure it’s not forged?”
“This was shown to me by Paisley. She was trying to show off to me that she had become Mrs. Laban. Well, Ms. Floyd, from now on, you will have to address Paisley as your aunt!”
“What f*cking aunt! Who does she think she is? Bitch!” Angel scolded.
“Isn’t Ornard your uncle?” Pierre asked with a smile.
“He’s not my blood uncle. Damn it, if he’s my uncle, why would he do this to me? Bastard! These two bastards are plotting against me, and I can’t stand it anymore. I must take my revenge!”
“Well… Ms. Floyd, let me tell you something honestly. It will not be easy for you to deal with Ornard. He’s so cunning that you won’t be able to get hold of his weakness for a while.”
“What do you mean? Should I do nothing while the bastards plot against me?” Angel asked angrily.
“I’m not asking you to do nothing. But you would have to plan and give further thought when dealing with Ornard. If you are mad and are looking to vent your anger, you can start with Paisley instead.”
“Do you have a way? Tell me about it.”
“Paisley and Ornard have married abroad. If it weren’t for her showing off, no one would know that she married Ornard, and that includes you. Since they didn’t do it openly, you can find an excuse to attack Paisley.”
“Yes! You’re right! I will have to vent my anger, or I will go crazy.”
After hanging up the phone, Angel looked angry. Madelyn asked cautiously, “Miss, who made you angry?”
“Are you asking because you can help me deal with those who made me angry?” Angel was not happy.
“As long as I can do it, I will surely help you vent your anger!”
Angel sneered and said, “Alright then! I’ll fulfill your wish! Do you know Paisley?”
“I do!”
“That bitch, Paisley, offended me. Can you f*cking beat her up for me?”
“This…” Madelyn looked embarrassed.
“So are you only trying to fool me every time you express your loyalty to me?”
Looking at the ironic smile on Angel’s face, Madelyn could only go through with it. “Rest assured, Miss. I will find an opportunity to beat up Paisley and help you take your revenge. But the one thing is Paisley is a lady from a wealthy family. I will surely be gotten back at. I only hope that after I beat her up, you will believe in my loyalty to you and let me help you solve your difficulties in the future.”
“We’ll talk about it after you beat her up.”
Gurmisran was having a hard time today. Not long after he got up in the morning, he received a message asking for money. “Is the money ready? Don’t forget that the deadline is eight in the evening.”
Gurmisran didn’t have that much money. As the other party was with bad intentions, Gurmisran didn’t dare go against him. After much thought, Gurmisran decided to utilize Ornard’s company.
Gurmisran figured to take out money from Ornard’s company account, then transfer it back after dealing with the person.
He replied, “The money is ready. Give me your account number! I’ll transfer it in batches.”
The person on the other end of the line replied with an ok emoji, and soon Gurmisran received the account. After Gurmisran got the person’s account, he immediately instructed his men, “Go and find out the identity of this account’s owner, immediately!”
A few minutes later, his subordinate reported, “Mr. Knight, this is Bricksburg Bank’s charity account. The main usage is for disaster relief.”
“What…” Gurmisran was speechless. Did the other party blackmail him only to use this fifty million dollars for disaster relief?
He didn’t believe that the other party would be this compassionate. Gurmisran immediately sent him a message. “Is the bank account number you gave me wrong? Why is it Bricksburg Bank’s charity account?”
“That’s right. It is Bricksburg Bank’s charity account. As Bricksburg had suffered so much from the typhoon, I too want to contribute the little I have. But since I’m strapped for cash, I could only trouble you! Thank you for your hard work, Mr. Knight. The disaster victims will remember your generous contribution. And this will serve as retribution to your sins as well. It’s perfect!”
Gurmisran almost spat out a mouthful of blood. The other party then replied with a warning, “You must put the money in place before eight in the evening. Otherwise, what you have done will soon be made public. Not only will the family who you exchanged the children secretly will kill you, but your boss will want your life as well!”
Gurmisran wiped the sweat from his forehead. “Are you sure you won’t make things difficult for me again after I transferred the money?”
“Of course! I only want to help you relieve your sins. Don’t worry. As long as you are obedient, I won’t trouble you in the future.”
As the person was not asking for the money for himself, Gurmisran had no choice but to transfer fifty million to the disaster relief account given by the other party.
The diagnostics center asked Azalea to get the report three days later. So Azalea had been feeling pretty anxious in those three days.
She hardly slept, and she got out of bed immediately when the sky turned bright.
When Emily heard the sounds, she opened the door. “What are you up to so early in the morning?”
“I have something to deal with.” Azalea replied vaguely.
“You have wounds on your face. What if someone sees you when you’re out? How about you leave it to your assistant?”
“I must handle this personally. Aunt Emily, I will wear a mask and sunglasses. No one will recognize me.”
Emily was still worried. “I’ll go with you.”
“There’s no need to. I’ll be back soon. Don’t worry.”
Azalea insisted on not having Emily follow her. Emily did not stop her and allowed Azalea to leave the apartment while tightly covered.
Azalea drove to the diagnostics center on her own. She was afraid of being followed, so she even made a few extra turns. After making sure that no one was following her, she rushed to the center.
She arrived at the diagnostics center too early, and the staff hadn’t started work yet. Azalea waited for forty minutes in the car before the center opened.
After the diagnostics center opened, Azalea immediately got out of the car. When she entered the center, she even looked around out of habit to see if anyone was following her.
She then saw a woman dressed like her also looking around furtively.
When their eyes met, and they saw that the both of them were covered up tightly, they shifted their gaze.
The woman entered the diagnostics center ahead of Azalea, while Azalea deliberately stayed behind for a while.
Azalea then went to the staff she was in contact with the day before, and after taking the report at the counter, she didn’t stop and hurried outside.
Azalea moved quickly as she wanted to leave the center soon to look at the results. As she turned the corner, a person suddenly rushed out and bumped into Azalea head-on.
