Richard roared and rushed towards Michael before giving him a brutal punch on the face.
Michael tilted his head and Richard’s fist brushed past his face. Richard was increasingly pissed off upon noticing that his punch had missed Michael. He swiftly struck Michael for the second time.
Michael was being hit but he did not fight back. “Richard! Calm down!”
It was impossible for Richard to keep his cool! He was so mad that he was going bonkers! He punched and kicked Michael mercilessly.
He cursed while hitting Michael, “You are an animal! You are a disgusting piece of shit! How dare you seduce her? How could you be so thick-skinned in doing this to her? I will f*king beat you to death today!”
Abbie was astonished as well upon seeing Michael getting hit a few times. She screamed in an attempt to stop Richard from striking further, “Richard! Cut it out!”
“Get off from me!” Richard simply pushed her away. He could not control his force as he was so furious about the situation. Abbie staggered and eventually fell to the ground.
Michael rushed over with distress upon seeing her tripping, “Abbie! Abbie, are you okay?”
“My leg! Ouch!” Abbie’s face was full of agony.
“You son of a bitch! F*cking leave Abbie alone! She is my sister and I will take care of her!” Richard stopped hitting Michael upon seeing Abbie fall down to the ground. He stepped forward and pushed Michael away before reaching out to help Abbie up. “I will send you to the hospital right now!”
He then lifted Abbie and exited the office. Michael followed behind them with a swollen lip on his face. Richard turned his head around and said, “Do not f*king follow us! Or else I will give you a violent beating!”
“You can hit me however you want after sending Abbie to the hospital for a check-up. I will not fight back at all!” Michael replied in a calm tone.
“How could you say that? What rights do you have to fight back at me? Michael, don’t you think that you have caused her too much harm? I have f*king made myself very clear to you last time!”
Richard stared at Michael with a stern look on his face. “Get lost! Stay away from Abbie!”
Michael did not give way and continued to follow them. Abbie was in so much pain that tears were flowing down and Richard felt pity for her. He was no longer in the mood to make a fuss with Michael and immediately drove to the hospital.
Michael also drove his car and followed behind them. The doctor swiftly checked up on Abbie upon arriving at the hospital. It was seen that Abbie had sprained her leg.
The doctor placed a warm compression on her while both Michael and Richard were waiting outside of the room.
Richard was once again feeling pissed off upon realizing that Michael was standing next to him. “Get out of here if you wish to not suffer a violent beating from me!”
“I will never leave even if you beat me to death! I love Abbie and I will never give up on her!”
“What? Why didn’t you think about Abbie’s feelings when you were being caught red-handed on the bed of a random woman? Where were you when Abbie was in trouble?”
“I was clearly at fault last time! Richard, I have never flirted around with other women! I am very loyal to Abbie! I swear to God!”
“There is no point of you making a solemn statement right now! How can I have mistaken you if I have seen your behavior with my own eyes? Michael, I am warning you. There is no way for you to be a couple with Abbie!” Richard refused to believe Michael as the scene that he had witnessed was very solid proof. “Get lost! Do not f*cking challenge my patience! I will not hesitate in teaching you a lesson today if it is not because of the fact that we have been close friends for a long time!”
Michael remained silent but still refused to leave. Richard furiously said, “You are now getting onto my nerves. Are you that confident in me not laying a finger on you?”
Michael, who had a red and swollen lip glanced at him and said, “I will let you beat and scold me however you want. I shall make it clear once again that I will not give up on Abbie! Never ever!”
“Wow, how could you be so full of yourself when I am showing mercy on you? What great f*cking things are you able to give my sister? Is it because of the fact that you are the fiancé of Azalea? Or credits should be given to your troublesome mother who keeps spewing nonsense about my sister?”
“I have no business with Azalea, none at all! On the other hand, I will convince my mother to treat Abbie well.”
“Stop it with your bullshit. Abbie is the precious little baby of the Clark family and everyone in the family loves her very much. She does not give a damn in hoping to receive your mother’s kindness. It is also rubbish for Abbie in being attracted to an old man like you! She deserves a better man to protect and love her. Her charming prince will never be a shameless thing like you.”
“Richard, we have been good friends for many years. Can’t you just give me a chance?”
“No! Don’t even think about it!” Richard felt that he was no longer on the same page with Michael. He then took out his mobile phone and dialed Meadow’s number. “Mrs. Davis, kindly please keep an eye on your son. Do warn him to not be so f*cking thick-skinned in messing around with my sister! He will suffer from a broken leg should he still keep in contact with my sister!”
Meadow was enraged upon hearing about it and snapped back, “Who gives a damn about your sister? Michael has always been fond of Azalea. Your sister does not even qualify to become Azalea’s servant!”
Richard was furious but chuckled and said, “Mrs. Davis, alright then. I shall keep in mind your words and I do hope that you can discipline your son well. Do forbid him to come anywhere closer to my sister as I am always true to my words. He will not only suffer a few hits from me if such a situation happens again. Your son will experience hell from me instead!”
Richard glanced at Michael calmly after hanging up the phone call. He said in a stern voice, “Get lost!”
Michael was as pale as a ghost as he clearly heard Meadow’s words on the phone. Richard had intentionally contacted her to cause a scene. “Richard, why would you…”
“I shall assume that you have clearly heard what your mother just said! How can you brazenly pester Abbie judging by the current circumstance? My sister does not expect to be dotingly pampered by others. However, that does not mean that she should be treated in such a way. I have already made it very clear that I will never support you two to be together! Get out of here right now before things get ugly when I contact my bodyguards to get rid of you! By the way, Michael, do head back home and tell your mother to be polite towards Abbie. I will not hesitate to lay a finger on her if she dares to spew nonsense or be arrogant towards my sister!”
Michael was left with no other options as it was unwise for him to get into a fight with Richard. He could only give in as Richard was currently fuming with anger. He was worried about Abbie but there was nothing that he could do. He sighed and left the hospital.
Richard then made another phone call after watching Michael leaving his sight, “Instruct a few men to keep a close eye on Abbie for twenty-four hours from now onwards!”
Michael gloomily returned to the parking lot. Meadow had been bombarding him by consecutive phone calls. He did not answer it and had let the phone ring while he ignited his car engine.
He was feeling extremely depressed. His grandfather called when he was about to drive to the bar to get drunk today, “Come back home immediately!”
It was evident that Meadow had gotten ahold of Michael’s grandfather to complain about this matter. Michael could choose to ignore Meadow but he could not do the same thing towards his grandfather. “Alright then, I will be right back!”
Michael’s car had come to a halt outside of the Davis family’s villa half an hour later. The servant trotted out and was shocked to see the wound on the corner of his mouth. “Michael, how… welcome home!”
Michael did not greet the servant but had instead walked into the house dejectedly. He entered the living room and saw Meadow, Stanty, and his grandfather were all sitting there while waiting for him. They stared at Michael upon seeing him coming into the public area.
