At dawn in William’s manor in Munich, Valeria was already awake.
The moment she woke up, she wanted William to bring her on a tour around the manor in a carriage.
William listened to her and got up immediately to wash up. Then, he led her downstairs.
Archer and Natalie, Callum, the Floyd family’s two elders, Abbie’s parents, Lamont, and the others, had all gotten up and gathered in the living room to talk.
William led Valeria downstairs and greeted them with a smile. Then, a servant came over to inform them that breakfast was ready.
The group of people walked towards the dining area for breakfast. Valeria was in a good mood as she looked forward to the tour around the manor in a carriage after breakfast. She whispered to Deborah, “Grandma, I’m going to tour the manor in a carriage later. Do you want to come with me?”
“Sure!” Deborah replied with a smile.
“Then it’s a deal? We won’t let the servants serve us later. William will be our coachman!”
“Yes! That’s a really good idea!” Deborah laughed heartily.
When William heard their conversation, he shot Valeria a look of misery. Why did he have to do a servant’s job? Valeria was bullying him.
After breakfast, everyone wanted to explore the manor, so William arranged six carriages. One for Archer and Natalie, one for Callum and Fandrey, one for Abbie and her mother, one for Raymond and Lamont, and one for Michael and Abbie’s father. All the other carriages were driven by servants, while Valeria and Deborah’s carriage was driven by William.
They began to tour the manor. The air was fresh and the scenery was pleasant, so Valeria felt relaxed and happy, and she tried to discuss with William, “Honey, I have an idea.”
“What idea? Are you thinking of something bad again? Tell me, what kind of bad ideas did you come up with to torment me?” William asked while driving the carriage.
“This is what I’m thinking. The scenery around the manor is so beautiful, and there is a large artificial lake with such a neat lawn around it, so why won’t we have a picnic there for lunch today? How about it?”
After Valeria finished speaking, Deborah immediately agreed, “Good! I like the picnic idea!”
“Husband, see? Grandma also agreed with my idea. Let’s do it then! Arrange for people to prepare for it immediately!”
William turned around and said, “There’s no need for that because I have already instructed someone to prepare for it last night.”
“Really?”
“Of course! I know you so well, so I knew exactly what you would like and arranged it in advance.”
“You’re the best! I love you so much!”
William asked, “Do you show your love for me by asking me to be your coachman?”
“I let you be our coachman because I think highly of you. Right, grandma?”
“Yes, everything Valeria says is right!”
In the carriage in which Abbie and her mother rode, her mother thought that Richard was busy last night so he was going to be late. However, he was still not here, so she asked, “Abbie, where is your brother?”
“He is sick!”
“Sick? Why did you hide it from us?” She asked anxiously.
“Mom, please listen to me. He just has a common cold. It’s nothing serious.”
“Your brother has always been strong and healthy, so he wouldn’t be absent just because of a common cold. Don’t lie to me, tell me the truth!” She said seriously.
“Mom, he really just has a common cold, and he’s not here because he is on a quest to flirt with the girl he likes. He deliberately pretended that he’s super sick so that she can take care of him in the hospital.”
When Mrs. Clark heard Abbie’s words, she frowned, “Who is this girl your brother likes?”
“You also know her, it’s Braelynn.”
“Braelynn?” Mrs. Clark was stunned, “Why is it Braelynn? Does he actually like her? This…”
Abbie thought that she didn’t like Braelynn, “Why not Braelynn? She is kind, capable, beautiful, and is worthy to be with Brother in every way! Now, he has a one-sided crush on her, while she might not even be interested in him.”
This made Mrs. Clark shake her head, “No, I’m not finding faults with Braelynn, but I just find it strange. Doesn’t your brother like girls who are gentle and weak? Braelynn is a strong and independent woman. Why did he suddenly change his type?”
“How would I know? Anyway, I like Braelynn. If he can successfully date her and make her my sister-in-law, I would be overjoyed.”
“That’s true. Your brother is about the same age as William. William already has a wife and children, but your brother is still single. If he can date Braelynn and marry her, your father and I will be very relieved.”
While Abbie and her mother were talking, Lamont was also wondering why Braelynn didn’t show up. He didn’t see her when he arrived last night, so he thought that she had followed Hayden and Gavin to Neuschwanstein Castle.
However, after calling Gavin, he found out that Braelynn didn’t follow them to Neuschwanstein Castle at all.
Seeing that Richard was not there either, Lamont felt that something was up and called Braelynn.
Richard held onto Braelynn’s hand for half of the night when she was finally able to break free from his grasp. Seeing him asleep, she also felt sleepy and fell asleep on the sofa in the ward.
Lamont’s phone call woke her up and she immediately picked up the phone, “Dad!”
“Where are you now, Braelynn?”
“I had something to do in Frankfurt. I may come over in the afternoon.” After saying that, Braelynn took a look at Richard on the hospital bed as he opened his eyes and looked at her.
“What do you have to do? I don’t remember that your company has any business there.”
“It’s not the company’s business, it’s my brother who arranged it.”
After Braelynn mentioned William, Lamont did not ask further, “Then come over soon after you finish your work.”
Braelynn hung up the phone and walked to the bedside to check up on Richard, “Are you feeling better?”
“I feel a little dizzy… and nauseous…” Richard answered weakly.
“I’ll ask the doctor to come back and give you an examination,” Braelynn said as she got up to look for a doctor.
Richard stopped her and asked innocently, “Um… Miss Saunders… Why are you here?”
“My brother went to pick up President Saunders and the others. No one else could take care of you, so he asked me to stay and keep an eye on you.”
“Is that so? Thank you for taking care of me, Miss Saunders!” Richard said politely.
Last night, when Richard held her hand while saying strange things, her heart skipped a beat.
She was worried that he would act the same when he woke up, but he was clearly different than last night, and it was obvious that he was really affected by his fever last night.
Braelynn was a little confused, but she controlled herself and said, “Mr. Clark, you don’t have to be so polite! I was just doing what my brother told me to do.”
